Clear coat paint peeling

Bought a used vehicle from here in June of 2023. The first car I test drove was given to me with someone's dirty sock in the door, and was absolutely filthy. I did not but that one, but decided to buy a different one. During the sale I noticed that this paint was damaged and the clear coat coming off. I was ensured by the salesman that this would be fixed. It never did. Also during the sale I was informed there was one pre paid service from the previous owner, and that it would be transferred over to my account. This never happened. I was also promised a pre paid gas card. This never happened. While signing the contact with the finance gal there's a portion you sign "nothing else was promised to you" I brought up these two points and she said "if the salesman said it's going to happen it'll happen, hold him to it" I signed it, now knowing I shouldn't of. It is now November of 2023. The salesman I was dealing with, who kept ignoring my text messages and blowing me off about the paint, no longer works here. The paint is not fixed, nor will it ever be. And when I attended to have my oil change conducted, the service department said there is no record of it. I spoke to a sales manager who is unwilling to help. Horrible experience all around, would never buy from here or recommend any one to attend ever again.

If you value your time and your vehicle, then go to ANOTHER dealer for service. Brought my Jeep in February 2023 for 3 issues an oil leak, transmission shifting concern and slow leaking air tire. See photo for the technician notes and diagnosis. Parts shortage caused the parts to come in 7 weeks after. Once the parts came in, they called me, and we made an appointment. Dropped off the vehicle early in the morning and received shuttle ride (thank you). Get a call at 3 pm that they did not have time to fix vehicle, so I can come pick it up. Rescheduled for another day guess what....same thing happened! Rescheduled again....same thing happened again! Finally, on the 4th visit, they get to my vehicle...but get this...they said there is no oil leak and that no repairs are needed. I was laughing out-loud now. I went to the manager Clint to find out what is happening, he said to bring it in and let look at the vehicle together. OK, we look under the vehicle...and there is no oil leak it is true...that is because the oil leak is in engine area at the power steering lines. So, the problem was mis-diagnosed by the mechanics. It was the power-steering that was leaking. Now, they tell it needs new power steering lines. Ok, 1.5 weeks later, the parts come in, and they call me. Make an appointment to come in. Guess what? This time they got to my vehicle, but they said no repair was done because its not leaking its sweating. Confused? Yeah, me too. As for the transmission, the factory trained technician said that the issue is due to low fluid in the trans, and post repair requires valve-body replacement. So, if there was never fluid leaking, then does it require a valve body? This is from a factory trained technician. Clint, the manager says what I should do is "warm up the vehicle before I drive off". 30oC outside and I should warm up the vehicle? The manager Clint is ignoring the diagnosis from the his factory trained technician. Be very careful when you bring your vehicle here for service. Why they are ignoring the diagnosis from a factory trained technician?

I brought my Prius here for service for a couple years after moving to Edmonton from San Diego, and…read morethey did a decent job of service - certainly better than Toyota on the Trail who were truly abysmal. However, I recently decided it was time to look at a car more suited to Edmonton winter weather, and spoke to a salesman (Mark) about some used RAV4s they had in stock while I was there for a service for my Prius. After we spoke at the dealership, we exchanged a few emails. He asked if I'd be paying cash or finance. I asked what the pros and cons were... and got a copy-pasted email back seriously explaining "if you pay cash, you will have less on hand" and "there is interest if you finance". Uhh... duh? I'm unsure if he is just such a terrible saleman in general that he could not even understand a customer would be asking what incentives he could offer if I went for their preferred payment type (surely that's a question they must hear weekly at least), or if he specifically decided that I personally looked like an idiot, but either way he assumed a woman in her 40s needed an explanation of how cash works...? He had two similar RAV4s available and immediately tried to sell me the one with the higher mileage but not significantly lower price. When I asked why anyone would choose the higher mileage model he laughed and agreed the other one was a much better deal. So... why did you try to interest me in that one first, then? Again, making it pretty clear he thought I was an idiot? After I did test drive the vehicle and got a mechanic friend to look at it while I was out, I pointed out some damage and the wear on the tires, and suggested a significantly lower price that my mechanic friend suggested. He didn't look impressed, but I asked him to think it over, and if he could come close to that price I'd sign the papers immediately. Was it a lowball price? Yes, of course it was. This is how negotiation works. My expectation was that he'd come back with another price suggestion. In actuality, I never even heard from him again, not even a "no thanks" email, just silence. Given that his attitude had already disinclined me to be in the slightest bit sympathetic, and considering how many used RAV4 models are out there, I decided to look elsewhere and eventually purchased a similar model RAV4 from Rally Subaru. And I will not be returning to Gateway Toyota. Overall verdict: not the worst Toyota dealer for service. But possibly the worst Toyota dealer for sales rep attitude. Or at least, if you do go here, pick your sales rep carefully.

After about 20 pushes to buy all the extra warranty and shit they try and rip you off on, and declining them all, they still stuck one in like the sneaky pricks they are on final billing. Will never purchase anything from this dealer again. Truck is awesome , do yourself a favour and go to any other Toyota Dealer

It appears more focused on generating revenue than accurately diagnosing and resolving issues. Their parts are also noticeably more expensive compared to other dealerships. Recommendations: * Obtain a second opinion from a reputable third-party mechanic before authorizing any major maintenance or repairs at Wheaton Honda. * Do not collect your vehicle or sign off on service without a proper walkthrough with service rep. Request a detailed review of the completed work with the service representative to ensure all issues have been adequately addressed * Exercise caution when relying on the assurances from the Service Manager (warranty stage) - Ensure all service details and commitments are documented in writing. Also send an email with details to dealership and copy Honda Canada. * If problems persist after service, promptly report the issue to Honda Canada and file a formal complaint. all the best

We arrived to the showroom (Typical family of 4) with not a single other person in the showroom. Nobody greeted us. We looked around at the vehicles and sat in 3 of them and were looking for more information. The receptionist acted as if we weren't there. Multiple sales people buzzed around in the background, upstairs and around the main floor area. Not a SINGLE person acknowledged us, asked if we needed assistance or anything at all. Racist? Maybe. Inter-racial couple with kids are apparently invisible to the staff here. Left a HORRIBLE taste in our mouths. Please do not support this judgemental behaviour and go elsewhere.

It was supposed to be done right as part of the deal at Southgate collision center, but they farmed it out to CarStars Just an update, Southgate Audi has seen my posts and at first reached out to settle. They said I had to remove my posts, I said they were the truth so they didn't have to be removed. They offered to settle, Oh my Godbut wanted me to remove my posts. I reluctantly agreed, but said I would do so only when satisfied with the repair. They withdrew the offer and won't repair. Meanwhile, they told Audi Canada they were resolving the matter with me as I complained to the parent company. Word to the wise to any one dealing with them: South Gate Audi collision is a first rate repair place. But be careful, as the dealership will tell you that's where they are sending the vehicle, and then send it to carstars or equivalent for a cheap "paint over." I made the mistake of not getting their offer of South Gate Audi collision in writing. Always get their "0ff contract" promises in writing as they will deny them later. That is my experience anyways.
