DON'T MISS THIS GEM!! What a WONDERFUL little lodge with exceptional service and a fantastic restaurant. Nick and his team create memorable experiences! Plenty to do! Bikes, Polaris, fishing, hiking, rafting, hanging out in the fun bar, sitting by the fire and meeting new friends! Outstanding location for our family reunion! Can't wait to return!

Was camping near Lowman and decided to stay an extra day so was looking for some things to do and remembered driving by Southfork the day before. Stopped by and were greeted by Nick and Robin who are awesome people. Robin showed us a nearby trail on a side by side (couldn't rent cause of roads/trails being closed) and also met Oscar their incredibly friendly chef who Robin introduced us to cause he's from same country my girlfriend is. Nick gave us fly fishing gear for the day (brought them back and wouldn't let us pay - said "just happy to make friends"). Incredible property, services offered, guidance for things to do in the area, and people running the business. Plan to come back many more times and stay here or come by while camping. Thank you guys!

A true gem in the mountains! What a GREAT experience! Beautiful place and great views from your room. Highly recommend and as a bonus Tyra was an excellent host. She is on top of everything and anticipates what you need. That is the extra mile that makes a guest feel welcome! Thanks Tyra we will definitely come back!!

Stopped here on a whim for lunch and what a great stop it was. The Southfork burger was cooked to perfection and I loved the blue cheese spread they put on it. The house made coleslaw was outstanding as well. For desert, a piece of huckleberry cheesecake, topped things off. Marla, one of the waitresses, makes the deserts, and a stop here is worth it just for desert. Kim was our waitress and she was outstanding. Friendly and attentive would describe her well. In addition to food there are cabins and a lodge as well. These are set up well for motorcyclists if you happen to be riding in the area.

Nice peaceful place

This is my second visit here. My first visit was after our Kayaking trip, we caught some great music on the lower level - Highway 21 band, they were great! After a beautiful rafting trip, I stopped by today for a cold beer. Marla, my server, recommended the "Mack & Jack's African Amber Ale," made in Washington; it is wonderful! Marla is so sweet! Make sure to sit on the patio if the weather is nice - the view is stunning.

This is an ideal gateway if you're exploring the Sawtooth Mountains/Wilderness and features rustic…read morecharm and beautiful natural surroundings. Accommodations include cabins, yurts, meadow camping and spaces for RVs. Prices are different for each and are fair. We stayed over two nights (RV space and cabin) over the Labor Day weekend/week and had a nice time! The grounds were clean and quiet even during a busy time. All the RV spaces seemed suitable and were nicely sized with full hook ups available. The night we stayed in a cabin (cabin 3), we found it to be comfortable and clean, with three beds (two queens and a full bed jn the loft - you must climb a small ladder to go up there), a full bathroom with shower, a wood burning stove for heat, and some seating. There were a couple power outlets available. Electricity is available from 7am-10pm. On site there is a restaurant which has surprisingly excellent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed such things as a breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, a burger and a reuben sandwich. Sodas, waters, beer and wine are available. They have fantastic milkshakes as well (try the Huckleberry!). Prices were good and service as well. There is a geothermal pool on site as well (rules apply and a waiver) which we enjoyed. Jesse (the manager) was awesome, friendly and informative (especially about news/updated with regard to our backpacking trip) and all staff/crew was great as well.

The Sawtooth Hotel Restaurant is one of the most unassuming restaurants where I experienced one of…read morethe most exceptional meals I've had the chance to enjoy in all of 2024. When you first walkup to the hotel, you are met with a very rustic, cabin-esque hotel building where you wouldn't expect to find such a fine dining experience. We were sat outside which presented the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sawtooth Mountain range. We ordered several dishes for our meal and every dish was just as amazing as the other! Bigwood Baguette: This was a great start to the meal! The baguette was baked to perfection and had the perfect amount of crunch to it. It comes topped with an herb oil and sea salt which added the most flavorful touch. Soup of the Day: Their soup of the day was a White Bean stew topped with rosemary and hern olive oil. The stew was rich without being too heavy and the seasoning was perfect. Soy Glazed Brussels: The soy sweet chili glaze had such a nice balance of sweetness and the slightest hint of spice. The crispy rice noodles and crumbled peanuts added such a nice textural contrast to the Brussel sprouts, which in my opinion were cooked to perfection! They were seared well without being too burnt or crispy. Beets & Burrata: Hands down one of the highlights of the whole meal. This dish came with a handful of components, that when paired together into one bite on a crostini, resulted in the most delicious amuse-bouche. The burrata was so light and fresh and I never knew that it was the perfect pairing with beets on a crostini. A MUST have. Columbia River Grilled Steelhead: Absolutely stunning. The Steelhead was executed beautifully and the mushroom asparagus risotto was cooked to perfection. Honestly, compliments to the chef for what seemed to almost be an experimental pairing with adding the sweet pesto and blueberry gastrique. Never could have I imagined these flavors being paired together atop a piece of salmon and I will not ever soon forget how flawless this dish was. Pork Schnitzel: This was my husband's dish which I did not have a bite of, but from what I could tell, the Pork Schnitzel was very well done. It was thinned out and tenderized very well and the breading looked like it was golden-crisped wonderfully. I did get to try the mashed potatoes and can remark that they were some of the best I've had! I had some of the lemon caper beurre blanc that was drizzled atop the dish and I would do anything to be able to have a jar of that at home. I am going to talk about this meal for a long time. If you are ever passing through Stanley, Idaho, it would be a giant mistake to not visit the restaurant at the Sawtooth Hotel.
