Over the last winter, we had two very small roof leaks. It was apparent there had to be enough…read morestanding water and the wind blowing a certain way for the leak to occur. But I still needed it fixed. I called AMB for a REPAIR estimate. What we received instead were two NEW roof estimates. One for $79,455 and the second one for $66,755. This was after they took a core sample. Do your research when working on your roof. We absolutely did not need a new roof. We knew that and every other company that came out, agreed. I was not going to post a review on this ridiculous encounter until the company we actually hired to repair and reseal the roof came across the core sample. They informed us that it was not put back properly and was actually stuck back in with caulk and the caulk used doesn't even adhere to roofing materials. Had this not been found and repaired properly, we could have had serious roof and interior damage. Unbelievable. This whole experience is, at the minimum, really bad business practices. At the most, it borders on fraud and negligence. Buyer beware. Update: I obviously ruffled some feathers. lol. I initially had written a six page review, listing every single detail but decided against posting that. Nobody is interested in reading a novel. Bottom line is we called for a repair. We do not need a new roof. We needed repairs and a reseal. We discussed a repair. AMB pushed for a full, new roof quote as the "repair quote would be 50% of what a new roof would cost". My husband said fine, but that he was really only interested in a repair. Btw, I am only discussing here the house and attached garage. The detached garage is an entirely separate issue. My husband is sitting here flabbergasted at this company's response to the core sample and how it was left. Because what was said here is not what he was told on site. I stand by my review and every word. The sales person saw a big house on 12 acres and assumed deep pockets and a huge sale. Big mistake

The roofers showed up on 5/2 and roofed the house. But they didn't complete the job (soffit and fascia) and left scraps and sheet metal all over the yard and had obviously not run a magnet around the yard because I picked up a ton of nails, debris etc in the yard. I let Brian know on 5/5 and didn't hear back, I contacted him again on 5/8 and was told Jose would show up on 5/10 to complete the facia. Jose was a no call no show. I had to reach out to Brian again to get the job done and they sent a couple guys out to finish the job on 5/12 but unfortunately they didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish and they didn't know what they were supposed to do so they left. Again, I had to contact Brian to reschedule. 5/24 they showed up and "completed" the job. Upon inspection of their work I found for the soffit, they went over the rotten wood which should have been removed, used white caulk on brown flashing, still hadn't completed the flashing on the left side of the roof, didn't secure some flashing, and again left debris all over the yard. So I called Brian again to let him know my findings and in the meantime he sent me a bill that was 57% higher ($4,250) than his original bid! He stopped by 5/26, for which I had to take a day off work to make sure he understood my concerns. The crew came back later that day to finish and rework the soffit and left. Upon inspection I still found some rotten wood where it should have been removed and again debris was everywhere. I talked to Brian again and let him know I was less than satisfied with the job and let him know I'd be leaving a review online to which I just got an apology without an attempt to make it right. It's very apparent he and the crew don't have pride in their work or care about their customers. I paid him and I can say the only thing he did efficiently was cash my check. If you want a substandard job and some apologies Brian is your man - otherwise go somewhere else.

Power Tree came out and provided an estimate within a couple of days. Many of the other tree…read morecompanies kept giving me excuses on why they couldn't come out. Power was also 10-25% less expensive than the other estimates I received. Once I approved the estimate, they were out in a week to do the work. Day 1 was a full day to remove two trees. Both were ~50-60 feet (oak and ash) and were in the backyard that was not accessible by a bucket truck so they had to climb it. Day 2 was 2-3 hours of work to grind the two stumps. The lead time for the other overpriced companies were at least 1-2 months out. Power's crew also did a great job of minimizing any damage to the lawn considering the amount and weight of wood they have to remove.

However he did say that if there was services actually performed it would have been around $600 flat fee for basic service. I thought that was a little high for replacing a outdoor faucet and parts and so on. But he was very helpful. The electrician came out and he did a wonderful job figuring out where the problem was but for the electricians they're charging a flat fee of over $400 and to assess the problem and do basic repairs. Now he assessed the problem but he could not repair it without additional costs which he estimated to be about $1500. So I still got charged but no repairs.

On October 22 2025 I had Master Services perform an annual service on my Carrier furnace. The furnace was working well with no issues but I wanted to do the annual service as recommended. Morgan the technician poked around but I did not see any of the standard procedures done like I am used to seeing from other providers. There was a tremendous sales pitch pressure from the tech spending more time on how I can purchase a new furnace from their company, even though our furnace served us well and was in excellent condition. I paid the bill and he left. Oct 24 2026 just two days after service The furnace failed to start and we were in cold weather for several hours. So I called the company back asking why the furnace is having this problem right after the tech worked on it. Morgan came back and blamed it on a blown 3A purple fuse which never happened before. He said he did not have a fuse in his truck, luckily I had 3 of those in my fuse kit in my truck so I gave him my fuses, he started switching wires around burning 2 more of my fuses and finally he got the wiring right and the 3rd and last fuse worked and the furnace started to work. He did not seem sure of what is happening or what else to check for. We had to make a trip out of state to visit family but we always leave the heat on in cold weather just to be safe and we turn the main water valve off and drain the pipes. Jan 28 2026 We returned to the house to find there was no heat in the house and the toilet tank and bowl had blocks of ice in them. The bathroom sink trap was cracked from ice and the shower valve was busted along with the kitchen sink not draining. A pipe also sprung a leak in the basement. There was also a strong natural gas odor in the house. We called again and they sent another tech Mitch who showed up with three space heaters to thaw the house plumbing out but could not get furnace started he also confirmed the gas smell to be present he said the gas coupling inside the furnace was not tightened enough from when they did the first service. He did not bother to check the ignitor but did after I asked him to check it. He said the ignitor is bad and he will call me back the next day with a price as he claimed did not have a replacement ignitor in his truck and he estimated the price would be around $600 a part that cost under $30 He left us with no heat and a gas leak while I slept in the house in the extreme cold snap in January I could have died from both the cold and the gas leak. Jan 29 2026 Mitch never called back to come replace the ignitor. I gave up and had to call ANOTHER company to get our heat working. They came over and figured the problem in 5 minutes replaced the ignitor and tightened the gas coupling which was left loose by two technicians from Master Services. My bill was $357.44 and our furnace is working well since till the writing of this review March 23 2026. Jan 30 2026 Plumber Eric from Master services came over replaced the frozen sink trap that they caused to fail from freezing and charged me $154.83 He also gave an estimate of $1700 to replace the leaky pipe that they caused to freeze up due to low quality work. I refused to do this and feel they must take responsibility and fix what they broke. I had to replace the shower valve myself and get the kitchen sink flowing again. Several phone conversation with manager Juan did not help as he insisted they have to charge me for pipe repairs that would have never happened if they did not cause the freeze. My pipe is still dripping and they totally ignored the problem. I see that a Mr. Kyle Burroughs listed as general manager on the better business bureau website so Mr. Burroughs if you are reading this Please intervene to rectify this problem. You can get my contact information from your service department records. All I need now is you send a plumber to replace the pipe section that is leaking so we can put this nightmare behind us.
