This year's hanging baskets are so outrageously colorful, they look like fireworks went off in a flower shop. I hung a few on my deck, and now my neighbors think I hired a professional landscaper or joined a gardening cult. (Maybe both.) I also built a custom planter box (Pinterest, don't fail me now) and needed something show-stopping. Enter: petunias. The Black Mamba and Mayan Sunset petunias are basically floral drama queens in the best possible way. Everything I bought here has outperformed my usual big box store plants, which tend to give up on life the moment I walk away. Even the vegetable starts are thriving like they're auditioning for a salad commercial. Meanwhile, the seeds I got from a chain store are still contemplating germination. No rush, guys. Prices are totally fair, and the staff actually knows what they're talking about, which is refreshing. I'll definitely be back -- probably with even less self control and the desire to fill more planter boxes. And maybe they can help me get a green lawn as well.
