We had Cal and Shan's replace our back concrete steps and pour a concrete patio in 2021. Mostly…read moregood, except... the landing between the steps and the patio was poured incorrectly, sloping toward the house and causing rainwater to leak under the wall into the enclosed sunroom. Todd resisted replacing the landing, suggesting instead making a drainage groove in the landing and installing flashing with sealant along the bottom of the wall. Against our better judgment, we went with his approach. It worked for a while, sort of, but water would still leak in with heavy rain and the problem got worse with time. I called again this year and talked to Ross, asking how they would recommend resolving the issue; he said they would contact us to schedule a time for Todd to come take a look, but I never heard back. Thus, we hired someone else to fix their mistake. It was an expensive project, was done incorrectly, and their followup/response was poor. I see lots of positive reviews online for them, but our experience is that if there is an issue with their work, they aren't likely to do much to make it right.

Power Tree came out and provided an estimate within a couple of days. Many of the other tree…read morecompanies kept giving me excuses on why they couldn't come out. Power was also 10-25% less expensive than the other estimates I received. Once I approved the estimate, they were out in a week to do the work. Day 1 was a full day to remove two trees. Both were ~50-60 feet (oak and ash) and were in the backyard that was not accessible by a bucket truck so they had to climb it. Day 2 was 2-3 hours of work to grind the two stumps. The lead time for the other overpriced companies were at least 1-2 months out. Power's crew also did a great job of minimizing any damage to the lawn considering the amount and weight of wood they have to remove.
