I purchased a home in Walworth when the snow was 4ft high in the yard. The house came with a greenhouse so we expected the yard would be in good shape. When the snow melted, we quickly realized the backyard was a nightmare. We hired Manuel's crew to come out and get rid of a bunch of the weeds, move perennials around. They also brought two truckloads of dirt and mulch to do around the swingset and trees and sod for a large portion of the yard that was missing grass. They went above and beyond my expectations and even came back to cut the sod for the first time. They set up sprinklers and timers so that I wouldn't have to worry about keeping the sod alive. The crew was SOOO helpful and friendly. We have actually hired them back to install new shutters and various other jobs. They had a crew of 7 guys come in and do the entire yard in one day. I wish I could post photos to show you how great of a job they did! I will continue to use them for all of our handyman jobs around the house. We just completed a fairly large project laying about 1,100 sq ft of brick patio. I couldn't be more impressed with how the final project looks. Manuel and his crew showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves everyday. They were more than willing to do extra tasks as they arose and completed a very large job in 4 days. His crew was courteous and professional. I highly recommend his company and will definitely have them back for more work. Had a bad experience with these folks and moved on. Negative, aggressive, and not pleasant when a billing issue arose. One price quoted, something different billed. Could have worked it out with them but their attitude was just terrible. I paid it and moved on to a much more pleasant provider. read more

I am the kind of guy that prefers to save money and do a lot of landscaping myself. My wife finally got me to break down and get some bids on a ton of work we needed (80+ yards of mulch, tons of stones to finish a sidewalk, big heavy steps down a steep embankment, etc.). Manuel showed up on time for a walk through followed the next day by Kris calling with a detailed price for the work. I was amazed at how competitive their price was and the fact they use a Cat tractor and not just wheelbarrows to do the project. The team showed up at 6:30 and quietly began before my wife and I even knew they were outside! In one day, they did the entire project that others said would take days to complete. We began our association with Manuel's Handyman Services in September 2015 after having received poor to terrible services from 4 local organizations in East Troy. After the final (botched landscaping attempt) by the 4th. contractor at a property we were selling in East Troy, we broke from our tradition of hiring only local professionals and contacted Manuel's. Manuel and Kris showed up to assess the situation, gave us very excellent and cost effective ideas to correct the problems and we hired them for the repairs, landscaping, tree services, and grounds maintenance for the remainder of 2015 and into mid-2016 until we sold that property. After their initial work on the "for sale property", we were so impressed with them & the crews that we hired them to begin the massive wooded lot cleanup and replacement of the "new landscaping??" which had been performed at the new house we had moved to on Lake Beulah. The house was situated on a 2 acre wooded lot. The woods were basically impassable due to Buckthorn, standing and fallen dead trees, brush, litter and undergrowth, stumps, rocks, etc. Once again, Manuel and crew, outfitted with all of the proper equipment showed up (ahead of schedule!!) and set in on the seemingly impossible tasks. Fortunately for us, when several of the tasks required professionals skilled in other trades, we didn't have to go "contractor shopping". Manuel has a group of contractors he works with in what appears to cover any need a homeowner may require, AND, Manuel & Kris oversee the subcontracted work and deal with any issues that arise. NO STRESS OR PROBLEMS FOR THE PROPERTY OWNER!!! I have been a business owner for over 40 years and can certainly appreciate just what an outstanding organization Manuel & Kris have built. Throughout 2016, Manuel, Kris, and crew transformed our vision into a reality and in doing so have created the most beautiful, serene setting one could wish to live in. During the project, passing by walkers and cars would stop to congratulate Manuel on the workmanship, and many took pictures. We are still regularly approached by passing by walkers and cars and asked if our woods is a State Park, or if they could please just walk through the paths weaving throughout the new setting, or to just sit and enjoy the surroundings on the many half-log benches Manuel's crew fabricated from removed Locust trees. We are looking forward to working with Manuel's on 2 more projects in 2017 & beyond. In our opinion, the prices were extremely reasonable for the quality of their workmanship, and we have NEVER worked with a more professional and polite services organization or crew.
