Initially, he was good to work with, and I was planning to hire him for several additional projects around my home. Unfortunately, my experience changed after that. When he came back out to look at the additional work, he quoted me nearly double what he had originally discussed and gave the impression that he wasn't interested in taking on the job. He eventually completed the work I hired him for, but when the insulation company arrived, we immediately discovered that part of the job I had already paid for had not been completed. As a result, the insulation crew and I had to finish the remaining work ourselves before the insulation removal could even begin. That was extremely frustrating, especially since I had hired and paid someone to ensure everything was ready beforehand. Based on my experience, I won't be hiring Joe again, and I can't recommend his services to others. I expected the work to be completed correctly the first time, and unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

I cannot speak more highly of the professionalism, timeliness, and value of the work done by Hamtil…read moreConstruction. They agreed to assist me with the replacement of the four posts supporting my front porch even though this was a comparatively small job to those they typically take on. Once I spoke with Paul about the job he promptly sent over a very detailed and thorough proposal with a quite reasonable price. Things moved quickly from there and I was impressed at the speed with which the job was scheduled and completed. Brent did the work for me and his attention to detail and care were very evident. The posts he installed (complete with trim) are far nicer than the originals and the front of my house has never looked better. I will be hiring Hamtil Construction again!

I entered into a contract on April 8, 2025, with CRSS for storm damage repairs to my home…read more It has now been more than seven months since the contract was signed, and no work has been performed, nor have any materials been delivered or installed. I have exercised my right to terminate the contract. Because no services were rendered and no a substantiated expenses were incurred, I've exercised my right to terminate the contract and have requested a full refund which also includes my deductible. There has been a seven-month delay caused by CRSS's refusal to move forward with the repairs as requested by my Insurance company. My insurance company confirmed they would accept photos of a repair that did not match and would submit them for review toward a full replacement. Despite this, no progress has been made on the siding or gutters, leaving my home in disrepair and an eyesore to the neighborhood. The siding has been removed on two separate occasions for samples and has yet to be replaced As communicated by phone on August 13, 2025, I requested completion of the project before the end of September 2025 to avoid HOA fines. It is now November 1, 2025 and still nothing is done. He refuses to return my money and feels like he is owed 40% of the money I paid up front. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING is stated in my contract that he is owed money when nothing is done. The insurance company asked for specific photos, those were not given and they requested a second time to be able to move forward. It's apparently mine and the insurance companies fault that he was not able to do his job the first time of getting the photos. And lastly when I asked why things were still not moving forward, he told me that now he needed someone from the insurance company to show him where the damages are! I don't know how it went from the initial scope of multiple people seeing the damages to now, not being able to see them and needing the insurance to come out to show him where they are. I requested to have my money by October 31, and here November 1, NOTHING! I'm sorry that I got involved with this company.

Justin gave me his cell phone number, and has been very helpful in planning the fence and providing advice. As with so many home projects during these COVID times, there was a several month backlog for installation. Justin told me up front that the fence would not be installed until September. He explained that his firm does not hire extra crews of unknown workers during busier tomes only to let them go when work slows. His crews have worked for Trost for many years, and know what they are doing. It shows now that the project is complete. The crew was polite, and responsive to our requests. They placed excess dirt in a spot that needed fill, and spread it out professionally. Afterwards, I noticed one post cap-a VERY small detail- was not secured, called Justin and they were back the very next day!
