On 7/4/26, a staff member was sitting in the cooler handing out water bottles -- 1-2 each -- to select customers, but skipped over us entirely. When we finally got inside, she asked how we were doing. My 80-year-old mother mentioned it was hot, and the employee replied, "Is it that hot since you're out?" -- dismissive, especially right after handing out water to other customers and not us. It felt like the staff cater to a certain type of customer, and we didn't fit that mold. Very disappointing and disheartening after being loyal customers for so long especially on July 4th.

I only say that to make the point I have been to a lot of nurseries in my day. Covington's is one of the best nurseries I have been to. They have an amazing selection of plants and all of their plants are very healthy and ready for their new homes! Even their half-price greenhouse plants looked great! Their prices were comparable to other local nurseries but selection and service is what Covington's rocks on. I was asked everytime I went to a new section if I needed any assistance.
