The options started at about $1,000, with a second option around $2,000 and a top-tier option around $3,000. As I recall, the $3,000 proposal included replacing the toilet, while the first two were various levels of "repair." That seems like an awful lot of money for what turned out to be a bad wax ring damaged during a flooring install. I have since removed the toilet myself, replaced the wax ring, and everything is fine. No major repair was needed and certainly no $1,000-$3,000 solution. No wonder their address is on "profit dr." If this company isn't private equity-owned, they're sure doing a good impression of the private-equity playbook: upsell aggressively, present multiple expensive options, and turn a simple repair into a major sales opportunity. What a rip-off. Get a second opinion before agreeing to anything. Buyer beware.

I spoke with Erik, the Drain Man, early in the morning and he came out on the same day to address a…read morepretty serious clog. Our drains had produced this black oily sludge which Erik explained was the aftermath of years of oil and soap. It was truly a stressful mess. Early that morning, we actually had another plumber who used a traditional drain auger to attempt clearing the drain, but it did not work. Erik used a hydrojet that easily eliminated the black ooze. Afterwards, he used a camera to probe the inner guts of the drain to insure everything was clear. Erik is truly a professional and I will definitely have him back again to maintain these old cast iron drains. On top of that, his pricing is fair and reasonable.
