He agreed to pay another company to fix the damage his company caused then write them a bad check. Left me with cut pipes, swamp like pool, and 30k cost to repair! The address of his "business " was a vape shop (now vacated with a bakery next door ) , he had no proper business license and ignores all attempts to rectify situation informally. Don't get taken in; do your research and go elsewhere for pool service.

I called the first week of April to get on their schedule early. Charles started work on Thursday 4/25. After showing up without notice very sporadically and spending most of the time sitting in a rented van in my driveway, I began calling asking for an end date for the cleaning. I wasn't seeing any progress. Ashley gave me the same story every time I called, "just a few more days" "mid next week" and now "it should be done by Monday (Memorial Day)." As you can see from photos - there was zero progress. Pool is still deep green and totally unusable. It's now been four full weeks of the runaround and I'm left scrambling to find another company that can fit me in. I missed out on memorial weekend and had to change my guests' plans. I'm several weeks behind schedule and of course they waited until everyone was booked up, so now I will have to wait several more weeks. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe it. Every time I go in my backyard and see my festering green pool, I feel sick. I wish I had started with a new company rather than trying to remain loyal to the vendors the previous home owners used. Huge mistake. And it really pisses me off coming on here and seeing recent reviews - clearly they've been working, just not with the person who booked April 3rd!

I would not recommend this company…read more We used this company for multiple paid pool-service visits after the husband/owner initially told us our pool was in good condition and recommended a pool robot and maintenance. Unfortunately, the service and communication afterward were extremely disappointing. After a May visit, our pool turned green the next day. They later added chemicals, but the pool stayed hazy and the issue never seemed fully resolved. We paid for multiple services but did not receive clear service reports showing the technician, work completed, chemicals/salt added, or a plan to correct the ongoing issues. There was also an incident while we were out of town where their pool maintenance person turned on our water hose at the pool without notifying us. We have a recording showing this. No report was provided. When my husband questioned a paid visit because the pool looked unchanged, the owner's response became hostile. Before I had ever spoken with her, she texted my husband referring to us as "you people" and calling us "horrible and disgusting people." She later told us to "find another company," accused us of treating them "like crap," called us "HORRIBLE people" and "disgusting humans," and blocked us. Update: After this review, the owner came to my home uninvited within about 15 minutes regarding a disputed bill. My home camera footage shows her standing at my window and recording inside while my 1-year-old was being changed by my nanny. She continued after being asked to stop/step away. During the same visit, footage also shows her striking/pushing a car mirror in my driveway with her hand. After we sent a no-contact message stating that any billing dispute should go through proper legal channels, the company contacted us again and threatened to put a lien on our home. This review is based on my firsthand experience, text messages, invoices, timestamps, and preserved footage. I would not hire this company again. Response to owner: The owner has also tried to minimize the service history by claiming they only came once monthly or that we were not real customers. That is not accurate based on our text history, scheduled visits, invoices, and payments. We requested and paid for multiple services over several months, including visits in May. Whether they considered us "regular service" or "one-time cleaning" customers, they accepted the work, came to the property, performed services, and billed us. My issue is that those visits were not clearly documented, the pool issues were not properly resolved, and when we questioned the service, we were insulted and treated unprofessionally. RESPONSE TO OWNER: The owner publicly claimed I have a "track record of giving small businesses 1-star reviews." That is not accurate. My Yelp profile shows only two total reviews, including a 5-star review from TWELVE YEARS ago and this review. I am documenting this because the business appears to be trying to discredit my review instead of addressing the actual service issues, messages, billing dispute, and conduct described in my firsthand experience. CLARIFICATION REGARDING THE OWNERS RESPONSE AT 10:10 PM: The owner's response focuses heavily on whether we were "regular clients," but that does not address my actual complaint. My complaint is not that we had weekly maintenance. My complaint is that we paid this company for multiple pool-service visits, received limited/no clear service reports, had inconsistent communication, and were treated unprofessionally when we questioned the service and billing. Our records show multiple invoices, multiple scheduled visits, and automated service notifications stating they were on the way to our property and that the pool had been serviced. Their own messages also acknowledge that our pool was mixed up with another customer's pool/list, that chemicals and salt were added, and that the amount was corrected because the $800 quote applied to a different pool. The first clear discussion I have in writing about biweekly maintenance/pricing came later, after we had already used them for multiple services. We also asked for their recommendation on future maintenance and asked about weekly pricing with chemicals included, but that question was not clearly answered before we were told to find another company. Whether they considered us "regular maintenance" customers or "one-time cleaning" customers, they accepted the work, came to the property, performed services, invoiced us, and communicated with us over several months. I stand by my review because it is based on my firsthand experience, invoices, text messages, service notifications, photos, and preserved documentation.

AtoZ has serviced our two pools since the end of June--one saltwater and one traditional chlorine pool. Their own reports show a concerning pattern. For five consecutive weekly visits from July 2 through July 31, our saltwater pool had 0 free chlorine. Across 11 visits, pH was 8.0 or higher on 9 of them, including 8.4. Salt was also low on nearly every visit where it was tested. CYA was 0 on July 9, so stabilizer was added, and by July 16 it was back to 30. After that, their reports show no CYA testing/documentation for seven consecutive visits spanning nearly eight weeks. When CYA finally appeared again on September 10, it was back at 0. Some treatment choices also raised questions. On September 4, their report showed pH 8.0 and total alkalinity 90, yet they added 6 lbs of "Alk Up" even though 90 was already within the normal range. Eventually we began seeing significant white flakes/sediment in the pool. At first I assumed it was undissolved salt, but after it continued for weeks I contacted Rod. Rather than come out and inspect the pool and equipment, he looked at a photo and told me it was algae. By then I had started reviewing their own reports against the recommended ranges for our system and asked why we had repeatedly high pH, low or zero chlorine, low salt, and inconsistent CYA monitoring without anyone communicating an underlying issue. That is when the explanations started changing. First he said they had been investigating a problem because our pool was getting older. The pool was built in 2022. I asked why, if they suspected a problem, nobody had told us or documented it. He then suggested we might have a leak. I explained that our automatic filler had been off for about three months due to water restrictions and the water level was not dropping significantly. Again, if they believed there was enough water loss to affect salt and CYA, why was that never communicated? Instead of answering, Rod became increasingly defensive. He eventually told me I could "F* off"** if I didn't trust his 30 years of experience and called me a liar about how long the white buildup had been occurring. We later tested the white material with vinegar and it reacted and dissolved, which is consistent with calcium carbonate rather than algae. Given the repeated high pH, calcium scaling is a reasonable concern. We also had five different technicians service the pool over the last five weeks, despite Rod originally telling me he wanted one of his more experienced people handling our system because some newer technicians were less familiar with the equipment. There was also a separate incident where a technician used our garden hose while cleaning the filters, put the hose into the pool, and apparently forgot to shut it off. We came home to find the pool overflowing into the yard. When I told Rod, his response was again to question whether I was telling the truth and ask me to prove it with video. Mistakes happen. Pool chemistry can get out of balance, equipment can malfunction, and a technician can leave a hose running. None of those things alone would have caused me to write this review. What I cannot accept is a documented pattern of abnormal readings over an extended period with no clear communication about the underlying problem, followed by the owner calling a customer a liar and telling them to "F*** off" for asking questions using the company's own service reports. After that conversation, I no longer have confidence in AtoZ servicing our pools.
