There are many one star reviews and I see why, mind you there are many 5 star also. Not my experience. It started with me calling the representative who came out a few years ago, his name is Phil. Nice enough guy, however when I didn't hear back after 3 calls, I called the office and asked why he is not calling me back? There answer was he is out in the field and will call you asap. Well I find out after his assistant calls that he is out of town at a funeral and won't be back in town until next Tuesday. I was calling on a Weds. in any event, I said that would have been nice and understood if the office didn't lie to me originally. His assistant sent over 2 quotes and they were $39k and 43k for what looked like the same thing. I emailed her and said "what is the difference"? Rhino has done a lot of roofs in my neighborhood and wanted to get a quote from them as most homeowners are happy with them. The other roofer that does many jobs is MRE who has terrible reviews and have heard the horror stories. Well, I get a text from Phil that basically said that "they were going to pass on the estimate as they didn't think I would be a good fit". There are tons of roofers in So Florida and I guess they can decide who they want to do business with? I will gladly take my business somewhere else, no problem. BEWARE! does not do what he says when he says he will do it. left a huge mess my 81 year old mom…read morehad to pay to have cleaned up. he had to come back out and fix the exterior lighting and camera system (which they installed upside down) because they covered them up. didn't fix the wired doorbells and had to pay to have the newly repaired drywall repaired again from their lighting debacle. they didn't reattach the enclosure liner to the new plywood they installed and he is currently not showing up when he said he would to fix it. she is going to have to pay someone else to do it. she had to pay $1200 to clean up the mess they made with all of the nails and clumps of stucco left behind. used a vintage car that was covered to put their tools on. Luke said it would take a month and would have his guys paint at an extra charge, it took 3 months, they only primed and never came back. my mom is 81 years old and treated him like a son, and was kind every time he had an excuse as to why they couldn't show up to work. the final work was good but definitely not worth the extra $ and the huge headache. he didn't pull the permit like he said so my mom did for the sake of time (Luke acted like he didn't know he was supposed to but I have it in writing)., I got confused when the inspector inspected the French doors. I told Luke it passed thinking everything including the stucco passed, but Luke never verified the inspection papers (as the professional, he should have known to verify) so it ended up costing an additional $2500 to have a structural engineer sign off on the permit. I could go on and on including the night mom went without power because his guys used 3" nails and damaged her electrical wiring. stay clear!

But HBS made it easy. They asked me to take photos of the windows, I did and emailed them and a few hours later the appointment was made and kept. We met with the sales person who provided us a plan cost for the renovation. They were very limited as to what they could do. The one thing that I did not like was that it would've been piece fiberglass type of modular unit. The other thing I like was that it would've required a step over into the shower space. We went to Island Homes and Renovations showroom in Vero Beach and met with the owner J. J. first of all the showroom is gorgeous and has many different examples on display. They had a large variety of tile and fixtures for us to look at as well. JJ is so knowledgeable about the renovations and homes that he was able to give us a ballpark price of what we were looking at as we find tuned the details of what we want. The price was just slightly higher than the other company, but it was exactly what we wanted. So we decided to contract with him and we could not be more pleased with the result. It pulling permits and inspections, which is what we wanted and we got exactly what we asked. The entire experience was well worth it. The new shower is gorgeous. It was very easy working with JJ and his team. They were always on time and they were immaculate with whatever process they were involved in. I cannot speak more highly about them.
