I am going to make it my mission to make sure as many people, considering using this company see as many reviews as I can put out their warning them not to do so. My nightmare started last year when I allowed this company to install my windows and the failure over and over again to complete the job and refusal to do final and so on and so forth, but it didn't end there. About a month ago, I decided to replace all of my siding on my house the very first day out, he contacted me immediately and ask who in the world put in my windows, and I told him ikon doors and windows He then told me he was sorry to say that my windows were not installed properly at all and then I better get a hold of the company and let them know. I told him based on the terrible service I was given last year, I highly doubt it they would do anything. The next day I reached out and Dom Robin contacted me and told me he would come out and take a look he did acknowledge that same day that the windows needed to be installed properly with no apology really not that that would have helped meanwhile, my contractor showed me that my windows weren't even bolted into anything and if we've had a hurricane, my windows would've just sucked out my probably would've imploded as a result. Dom told me they would make it right and good review for me because he remembered the bad I had to give them the previous year. I told him I would believe it when I saw a different result, but I didn't when they reinstalled the windows correctly. This time it was before showing up late, not showing up when they were supposed to, and they did extensive drywall damage to the interior not telling me to expect that but even worse, just leaving the job saying they were done that day for me to come home and find all this drywall damage on the interior. When I contacted Dom about this, he told me my exterior siding contractor was going to repair it??? I had to remind him that my contractor did not work for was not higher for this and not hired to make repairs to the damage they created this past Friday he sent someone out here to do the drywall and usual a completely lousy person could not even be bothered to put plastic up, so it did not get all over everything and that I paid a fortune to be repainted last year and the other walls that I also paid all to be repainted last year after the windows were put in the first time. There is drywall texture all over everything caked all over the on the on the glass all over my ceilings. I have spent hours already cleaning it, and I have barely made a dent. All because they couldn't take five seconds to hang up a piece of plastic and protect the area around it absolutely shameful. Not to mention the very first day Dom sent person who was supposed to be so attention to detail Michael to make and the first Michael cracked my marble windowsill in my kitchen and the first day he assured me he would immediately be able to replace what I still have a cracked marble windowsill in my they will never repair. This company is absolutely pitiful and now the second time around they just the caulk on all around my windows. Didn't even do that neatly at least they did that the first time it's all sloppy and messy and all along the edge just a freaking nightmare. I will continue my mission to report this company to the Better Business Bureau to my safe Florida homes and as many other ways that I can review them so other people do not use this company! Well my nightmare started in April of this year. Once the contract left the sales representative there was no communication at all from the office. I had to call many times to get updates on when the windows would be installed and finally at the end of July the windows were installed, Not all because I had to get a fire rated window in the kitchen, So the install I do believe took 3 days (its been such a nightmare I cannot remember) . After the work was done I went around to get a close look I made a list of things that were not to my satisfaction and contacted the office and the Project manager Dom. Finally got tired of waiting for a response maybe 5 days not sure at this point I went to the Office to speak to the owner Josh in August . Explained everything to him and I do believe I had someone address the issues the following week. Now the kitchen window was installed October 13th after being ordered in April I understood it was going to take time But again NO communication on the window status unless I called the office. When the tech installed the window I asked about the screen and when was he putting it in, "I'm sorry there was no screen in the box". Are you kidding me no one opened the box in the warehouse to make sure everything was in the box or better still to make sure it wasn't cracked. Well the inspection was October 16th and the window FAILED no screen, cracked caulking, and very hard to open. Well its October 22nd and no one from the office has contacted me . DO NOT RECOMMEND this company Update October 28,2024 By the way I am in Melbourne FL not CA So my horrible experience continues Now that my kitchen window failed inspection the company is now telling me that the window does NOT come with a screen. WHAT I never heard of such a thing . They are going to make a screen for my window Let me just say this window because of the fire rated was over 9k for a 36 x36 . IKON Windows and Doors - WARNING!!! I do not take writing bad reviews lightly and have posted very few poor reviews in over 10 years. We were past business owners in a service industry and we know sometimes there are problems but in this case it becomes real important that we warn others about IKON. DO NOT use this contractor! We are now a year into our project and it's still not completed. We ordered 7 opening windows, 5 fixed windows and 2 doors on May 7, 2024. Both doors were ordered incorrectly, one door they ate and re-ordered because it did not meet the building code, the other door they installed, even though it wasn't what we ordered. We couldn't communicate with the installers because NOT ONE SPOKE ANY ENGLISH. FWIW they didn't work for IKON, they were subs. We were told at contract that they use their own employees to install. At 40 weeks in, we had 3 out of 7 opening windows that did not work, a slider that was ordered and installed incorrectly and 3 windows that needed replacement because they were damaged. We contacted the owner, Keith Gallo, the COO, Joshua Spivak, spoke to the Sales manager Ryan White, no one is returning our calls, letters or emails. This has been going on since install date in November. The contract with THEIR pictures was agreed to but somehow they managed to order and install the wrong door and now refuse to correct their mistake. All of the original people we dealt with are gone from the company. It's been a nightmare to say the least! A one window job and it's been almost 9 months to complete! Ordered wrong, installed wrong. It wouldn't close or lock . I was told to just shake it side to side it'll work. They came out and made it better with only small amounts of wind coming through and was told that was normal. Please do not use IKON Windows and Doors for your door/window contracting, and if you already are, review your contract, and be vigilant about the installation. Short story, they started an install in January for us, when doors arrived on site we asked if they were the right product, we were told "the will look right when done" In that install they broke the sidelight glass, and installed the door facing the wrong direction. Several months later they came back to "fix the problem", and did replace the broken sidelight, but in doing so installed them backwards, so the exterior stickers were on the inside. We noted this during the install, and the project coordinator came out to look. He told us that he has 23 years of installation experience, and the stickers are wrong, despite us having engineering drawings on site. They finished that install, and it didn't pass inspection. Its been almost another month.. and we continue to have communication issues. They tell us "you will hear from us tomorrow" and days or weeks go by. At this point we have created a punchlist that we want them to agree to before they come out and mess this up... again. The punchlist is just asking for them to adhere to their contract, and replace the door with the cracked frame, replace the sidelights so the glass matches the door.. as was agreed to in the contract.. and get everything safely installed so it passes inspection. Do yourself a favor... find a different contractor, or, be sure to have all your information on hand and document everything, it feels like they tried to sell us one thing.. and install something different, without an agreed to change order. HORRIBLE EXPERIANCE. I ordered hurricane impact windows and a french door April 22nd. I was told it takes about 2-3 months for the project to be completed. Here we are almost 6 months later and the job isn't complete. They didn't even order my actual windows from the manufacturer until June 18. They finally called me in mid to late August to schedule the install but I was about to leave on my Honeymoon. I scheduled the install for September 6, the day after I returned from Honeymoon. The installers arrived that morning and they realized 4 of the 7 windows were wrong and had to be reordered. They installed 3 windows and the french door. The 3 windows that were installed needed stucco around the exterior which has yet to be done. The project manager Sean told me that they would come back out within a few days to finish the stucco and that I would get a call to find out how long the correct windows were going to take. I never received a call from Ikon. I always have to end up calling them. They received the corrected windows and were supposed to come out October 10 but were unable to due to the Hurricane. I called them this morning to reschedule, now set for October 17. We'll see how that goes. Also, when they installed the first 3 windows and french door they notified the finance company that the job was complete even though it wasn't in order to try to receive payment.
