I am a past customer of Kruger in, 2023 I had them do a screening and ordered a paver brick patio at that same time I have to say my experience was a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale. In regards to my screening issue Maybe because I am was a single woman but I was not given any options of Doors etc. After putting 1/2 up front it took 7 months and lots of calling to get the screening completed. A day and a half job. I also ordered a paver brick 12X7 patio @ that same time w? 1/2 up front $800.00 plus a 3% CC fee. Never an effort to get it installed ( as per a very small job) and they are very busy . Finally after 7 1/2 months I cancelled . I was informed that okay , we will refund your money to your same CC . It took 10 days and another call to remind them. Then was returned but not the CC fee of $24.00 . I would not recommend them. Work was fair. Pricing was high. Timing and service unacceptable. Two weeks ago my wife and I had a patio and screened lanai installed by Kruger Construction. The crew did a fabulous job and we could not be happier. The patio is a beautiful addition to our home and we will enjoy spending time on it regularly. The screened lanai will make outdoor living enjoyable and free of annoying flying critters. If you call Kruger...and they send sales rep Chris out...double check what he says, with what's on the contract. A few years ago, I had them do a pool enclosure without screening on the sides. It was supposed to be built so screens could be added later. I decided to add the additional framing to add the screens. I called Kruger, they sent Chris out. We went over everything that needed to be done....he gave me a price...I said ok...and signed the contract, not knowing some of the materials needed were left off the contract. 6 weeks later, a guy came out to do the job, expecting to take a few hours. Because of what Chris left off, it actually took 8 hours and cost me an additional $550. Kruger does good work. Their sales rep...not so much! read more

BEWARE -- Price-gouging, Unprofessional and Unfriendly. Kruger replaced the screens in two lanai panels in December, 2020. I was undecided about rescreening a third panel (identical to one already being done), but decided to wait. During intallation, I asked Kevin how much it would cost to come back out and do the third panel. He gave a verbal quote. Today I called Kruger to get a quote for the third panel. Savanah gave a quote and I accepted (it was $2 off of Kevin's quote). According to the dimensions for the previous two panels, it seemed I might have been overcharged. After two phone calls, Savanah relized they had a recent price increase of 25% for materials and she had quoted me the old price, but needed clarification on the dimensions. Savanah passed our call to a General Manager. He was immediately hostile. He recalculated the screen size needed -- saying he would need to use the entire 9-foot width, because the excess was not usable. He gave a quote, that was over 40% more than Savanah's. I asked him to honor the previous quote -- given the very same day. He started yelling -- saying "no -- we can't give a job away, mistakes happen -- we can't work for free". I tried to explain that his quote was more than I had paid for the identical panel in December, which included the materials price increase of 25%. He continued yelling "I won't argue with you -- the answer is no". This General Manager's attitude was unprofessional, hostile and totally unacceptable -- in addition to raising the price for identical work -- price-gouging. Installers that did the work were hard workers and committed to getting the job done and done well. The job took longer then expected but we are happy with the final product. We received the Proposal / Quote in a very timely manner and we returned the signed document via email on February 24, 2016. I was then contacted by Chris at Kruger around March 25, 2016 and he said we had not yet made the deposit and that he had the engineering plans all ready and we needed to pay the 1st installment. I drove to their offices on April 1, 2016 and paid the $2,700. in cash and they provided me with a copy of the Quote and wrote Deposit Paid and returned it. They said it would be about 2 months but they would try to get the pavers and foundation work done as soon as possible. I contacted them around the 1st of May as I had heard nothing from them and I needed to know what was going down. They apologized and said they would try to get the job going and we were 11 on the list. Roughly 10 days later a crew showed up, dug a trench, did some rebar work and said they would be back as soon as it was inspected. It was inspected the next morning and we waited another week before calling and they finally did the pour and laid the additional pavers. I was told that we were still on the list and that the job would be done as soon as possible. Today my wife asked me to call them and see what was happening as we knew it was about time and I was told that they were behind schedule and it would be several more weeks before the job would be done but that they would try to squeeze us in some time as our job is fairly small for them. The woman was very polite but firm that they were doing the best they can. I told her that I was really unhappy and my wife was going to be even worse and that I would be contacting the BBB and get help where I could. She said that was fine. Shortly after my telephone call a person showed up at our house from Kruger and I was gone. He talked to my wife and said everything looked good for the enclosure but that the grass is higher than the Pavers (which they installed) so the door out onto the yard would be a problem. I arrived at the house and his truck was parked in front of the house. Before I could get our of the car he had sped off. We have heard nothing further. So the net is; 2/24/16 - Deal signed 4/1/16 - Down Payment made 5/1/16 - Foundation and Pavers installed (approximate date, may have been one week later) 6/20/16 - Nothing else has been accomplished and I was told it will be "Several More Weeks" and that the pavers they placed are too low for the door! Four days short of 4 months is really unprofessional. They are terrible at communicating. The only time they contacted me was when they realized their payment was missing. Other than that I have initiated EVERY SINGLE CONVERSATION. At this point I could NEVER recommend this company to anyone and they haven't even done the job! read more

I just read the only post written to date and concur with the homeowner. We signed our deal to add a small porch addition to an existing in Aug of 2016. We paid the 50% down. Their concrete sub showed up in November to prep for the slab/foundation, unannounced. And since we were not home, the Sub was turned away at the gate. For the next 1. 5 months we called and were put off for 1 reason after another. Finally they poured the foundation and applied the floor from finish. The framing and screen people showed up 2 weeks later. We hired the electrician Kruger recommend. But we never were able to get ahold of him, so we hire another local guy that did a professional job. All in all - the the job they did was good (3 stars), but the communication was not. read more

i used kruger construction on three different occasions. the first to special order and install a custom storm door. another time to install screening around my porch. the third time, just today, to repair hurricane damage to that same storm door. in every case, they did the work on time as promised. johnny homan was particularly helpful suggesting possible repairs methods to avoid service calls. the last fix was to the storm door was today. the owner, travis kruger came out, spent about 30 minutes working on the door and replacing the closer.......... all with no charge. thank you travis. ken eaise vero beach, fl read more
