Was driving down 183 the other day and one of Sean's crews dropped a bunch of rocks out of their trailer and cracked my windshield. I was able to get the crew to pull over and they said I needed to call their boss. Left numerous messages for Sean and finally got ahold him from calling from a friends number. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. This company does not take responsibility for damage they cause to other peoples property. I would stay clear from someone with such little accountability and respect for other people! You owe me a windshield Sean! Response: You can very clearly see the rocks in the back of the trailer in the third picture. You are just making excuses to not take responsibility for the damage your company caused. Your driver Alejandro even admitted it when he stopped. read more

After hiring Southern Landscape Solutions for the second time I was a bit disappointed on the reuse of the crap construction clay as backfill for relocating my sprinklers. This is the clay they use for homes now a days. It's full of rocks, scrap wood, and other construction debris, and it doesn't pack very well initially. I had my sprinklers moved from being next to the house, to next to the fence. The idea is to water the slab area, not the fence area. Builders should do this on every home they build. Again, they did a great job, for a reasonable price, but I wasn't happy. I contacted Sean and they sent out a crew to remove the clay, and backfill it with quality grade top soil. Thanks Sean !!! Now to get the sprinkler heads change so they water up to the slab, as they're not the correct heads to accomplish that. I was hoping that would've been done as well, but perhaps my needs were not explained good enough. We will continue to hire Southern Landscape Solutions, but I'll just be a bit more detailed in what I need done. Worthy of a call and a quote for your landscaping needs !!! read more

Sean, Josh and Josh, as well as the entire crew, impressed us from day one to finish on our quite large job! Sean was very responsive to our questions during the design/quote phase, and all the way through, even now after completion. Both Joshes were out here overseeing progress nearly every day, keeping our sprinklers set to keep our new grass and plants alive during over 100 degree heat for weeks. The crew worked sun up to sun down (this was a new construction home on an acre lot, total landscaping needed), but always left the site clean once they left for they day, including blowing the dust out of the street and driveways. I cannot say enough good things about this company! Everything owner Sean told us would happen, was completed when he said it would be completed. The entire staff pays attention to the smallest details. Thank you, Sean and crew, for such a great experience from start to finish! read more

We had a great experience with Sean and Southern Landscape Solutions. They took our blank backyard and created a beautiful xeriscape design that has made it a pleasure to spend time outside. Sean is very knowledgeable and his crew are prompt showing up every morning when they say they would and cleaning up every evening as if they had never been there. We are very pleased with the end result and Sean follows up even after the project is complete. We highly recommend them. read more

We contracted work April 2022 but it was mid June before the work began. We spent over $6,000 and watered according to instructions but so many plants died! I was expecting our garden to have plants in varied heights and color but we are very disappointed in the final results. It was very expensive to only be able to say the flower beds are clean. They forgot to trim an existing crep myrtle tree and told me they would come back but they never returned. I hoped for a happy view but I feel sad to look outside. read more

Called in November said they were booked until end of December but would put our name down to be called back. No call back, called in January, same story would call back and were busy until first of February. Called 3rd time first of February, will have someone call and are now booked until March. Guess they don't want or need business read more

Called this company to give me a bid on irrigation system repair. They said they would get back with me with an estimate, I am still waiting, but no contact after four days. It was a simple repair and shouldn't have taken over a day or even the same day. I called and Josh said he was still working on it. Not so fast Josh, I've already gotten a reasonable estimate from another company and they did it on the spot. I would not recommend this company as they seem to be a little lazy. read more

They were able to come sooner than expected and did a great job! The guys who came out were kind and had my satisfaction as priority, you don't see that now a days. I would refer them to everyone! read more

When I lived in Pflugerville Southern Landscape were able and ready to make irrigation repairs caused by the yard mowers. Before I moved out of Pville. I had a large stone hauled to my house to stop curb jumping and again Southern Landscapes did a great job. Some jobs are easy so they moved fast;other jobs are harder and take more time. read more

Michael, Sean and Helper were Absolutely Awesome... Customer Service Outstanding and Very Best Possible. Always Kind and Courteous, Very Professional, Honest - our irrigation system had many leaks. didn't work and needed serious attention and that is exactly what it got. Response to my many calls and emails were answered quickly, courteously and there was never an issue of being late ... the few times necessary to complete our project, always on time. Everything works great now and we are more than satisfied and happy. After work was complete, Michael and helper took their time to double check our sprinkler system to make sure there was nothing missed. In todays world, you just don't get this kind of service and dedication... Recommend everyone to 'not hesitate' to call Southern Landscape Solutions and tell them Steven sent you. read more

Used these guys to evaluate an existing sprinkler system when we moved in. They worked with me to create just the right plan for my budget (replace, relocate, and cap various sprinkler heads) and I now have a fully functioning irrigation system that covers my whole lawn. Timely and professional communication and service have definitely earned them another call when I'm ready to proceed with Phase II of my irrigation plan. Big thanks to Mike and his team. read more

Great experience! Sean was very easy to work with and reliable, very hard to find these days. Southern Landscape Solutions does great work as well, very pleased with how our project turned out. Highly recommend this company for your landscaping needs! read more

So disappointed! The website says that they do design/build for xeriscaping. After spending over and hour with Sean, telling him what I needed, he referred me to a landscape designer. If he actually doesn't do design, why did he waste my time? I would have to go over everything again with the landscape designer and he would charge me $600-2,500 just for the design. What I wanted done wasn't even that complex! Then, who knows what Sean might bid on the actual job or when he would get it done! Stick with lawn sprinklers, Sean. It is obvious that you don't know what you're doing. read more

Sean came out and fixed a series of leaks in my irrigation system. Know how you can just tell when someone takes great pride in their work? That's Sean. He went above and beyond in fixing the leaks with parts the builder should have used in the first place. I'm dropping the other irrigation company I've previously used and only calling Southern Landscape from now on. read more

Sean was recommended to me through Charise of Emerald Lawns as their preferred provider for both irrigation and landscaping services. I called Sean and told him that I'm a first-time homeowner and need someone knowledgable to teach me how the sprinkler system works. He came out right on time as we scheduled and walked me through everything. He was very patient, answered all of my questions, and was a real pleasure to work with. I have plenty of landscape work to get done, so I will not hesitate to call up Sean and his crew to bid on the job. He's a smart man and I can tell he cares a lot about the quality of his work. A true professional. read more

Called Sean hoping they serviced San Antonio but unfortunately they don't. Sure could use a quality company like his in North Central San Antonio! read more

This is the second outdoor project where I've hired Sean and his outstanding team at Southern Landscape Solutions. The first project was to improve our front yard in terms of new plants, lighting and boarders. Needless to say they did a great job which is why I asked Sean to upgrade our backyard patio area with a custom fire pit along with a nice crushed stone seating area. He came in and delivered an amazing backyard experience that also included new plant beds, tree removal and reworking our backyard sprinkler system. His team completed all work in less than four days. Simply amazing! I will continue to work with Sean on future projects, and I recommend anyone who is looking to improve their outdoor space to contact Southern Landscape Solutions. read more

I was highly impressed with the irrigation work to find the control value in my lawn. Richard was on time for the appointment and was able to find and repair the control value in less than an hour (another company tried for an hour and couldn't find the control value and give up). I cost was as quoted and very reasonable for the work done. read more

Southern Landscape Solutions installed my drip irrigation system over 4 years ago and continues to be my irrigation service provider. His irrigation experts are licensed irrigators by the state of Texas. Sean's entire staff is professional and focused on providing custom care to their clients. Southern Landscape Solutions work is fairly priced in a competitive marketplace. I highly recommend Southern Landscape Solutions and will use them, again, in the future. read more

Sean and his company have been a pleasure to work with. Sean takes the time to explain what is going to be done to the yard, and he goes beyond just the basics to help the customer understand the "why" behind everything. It is easy to tell he really loves what he does and his enthusiasm is infectious! His crew works fast and efficiently. My husband is currently deployed in Afghanistan and he loves to see pictures of our yard. I am grateful for Southern Landscape for maintaining the beauty of our yard, there is no way I could do it on my own! A beautiful yard is wonderful to have! Big thanks to Sean and all the staff of Southern Landscape Solutions!!!! read more

Had a beautiful, landscaped walking path and seating area constructed on the side of my house. Originally, it was a mud pit that I couldn't visualize transformed into usable space. Sean came out and designed a space my wife and I absolutely love. Sean was fast, friendly, and patient with all my questions. He's very knowledgeable regarding native Texas plants. Reasonable prices and amazing results! Would defnitely recommend and use again. read more

Sean and Josh did a complete restoration of our landscape including removal of old plants and shrubs, new landscape plan, installation of 130 new plants and shrubs and 1 tree and added mulch to all flowerbeds. They completed the job on schedule and in one day and did a great job. They were professional, honest, reliable, more than fair, etc. They greatly exceeded my expectations and have earned the highest recommendation that I can give. We have a severe deer problem in our neighborhood and although all the new plants were deer "resistant" or deer "proof", several were eaten after installation. They immediately replaced those plants (approximately 50) with different deer "resistant" or deer "proof" plants. They returned a second time and replaced another 7 plants. They did all of this at their own expense and without any urging on my part. They would not give up until we were completely satisfied and the new landscape was something to be proud of. read more

Run. Emerald Lawns also recommended Sean to me and I relied on him to install both a sprinkler system and an entire new yard. I'd told him I didn't think grass would ever grow on 1/3 of my yard and wanted him to put the lawn & system only in the rest of the yard. He assured me he had the perfect grass that would grow there and I paid him many thousands of dollars over the next couple of years. As I had predicted, I now have 1/3 of my yard that is nothing but eroding mud and dirt. When I asked him for a quote for replacing the grass entirely, he wanted $5,000 more dollars to fill it with rocks. He has refused to even respond to my request that he shoulder some of that cost since he knew I only acted on his specific guarantee and I've now wasted additional huge sums paying Emerald Lawns for fertilizing dirt and the City for watering the dirt over the past three years. I now have to hire someone else to do what he's already been paid in full to do. My next step is the courts. Do not take his recommendations. My next-door neighbor also used him at the same time and has been highly critical of him as well, complaining that Sean basically sold us both out. read more

I have now worked with Southern Landscape Solutions on two occasions on two different homes and they do an amazing job. They not only addressed a couple of problem areas but in both cases the end result is really beautiful! Both Sean and Josh are very professional and responsive. Sean has maintained my yard for several years now. He has also designed and planted a new yard for me. Being new to the Austin area I needed to find a landscaper to help me identify all the plants and trees that I have in my yard and how to maintain them. Sean and his crew were just what I needed. Sean is a horticulturist, landscaper and irrigation specialist so all my needs were met with just one visit. He identified all my plants, showed me how to adjust my sprinklers and along with his crew prepared my yard for the coming growing season. They are very organized, work quickly and are very neat. I was very pleased with the way they transformed my yard. read more
