Was driving down 183 the other day and one of Sean's crews dropped a bunch of rocks out of their trailer and cracked my windshield. I was able to get the crew to pull over and they said I needed to call their boss. Left numerous messages for Sean and finally got ahold him from calling from a friends number. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. This company does not take responsibility for damage they cause to other peoples property. I would stay clear from someone with such little accountability and respect for other people! You owe me a windshield Sean! Response: You can very clearly see the rocks in the back of the trailer in the third picture. You are just making excuses to not take responsibility for the damage your company caused. Sean, Josh and Josh, as well as the entire crew, impressed us from day one to finish on our quite large job! Sean was very responsive to our questions during the design/quote phase, and all the way through, even now after completion. Both Joshes were out here overseeing progress nearly every day, keeping our sprinklers set to keep our new grass and plants alive during over 100 degree heat for weeks. The crew worked sun up to sun down (this was a new construction home on an acre lot, total landscaping needed), but always left the site clean once they left for they day, including blowing the dust out of the street and driveways. I cannot say enough good things about this company! Everything owner Sean told us would happen, was completed when he said it would be completed. After hiring Southern Landscape Solutions for the second time I was a bit disappointed on the reuse of the crap construction clay as backfill for relocating my sprinklers. This is the clay they use for homes now a days. It's full of rocks, scrap wood, and other construction debris, and it doesn't pack very well initially. I had my sprinklers moved from being next to the house, to next to the fence. The idea is to water the slab area, not the fence area. Builders should do this on every home they build. Again, they did a great job, for a reasonable price, but I wasn't happy. I contacted Sean and they sent out a crew to remove the clay, and backfill it with quality grade top soil. Thanks Sean !!! Now to get the sprinkler heads change so they water up to the slab, as they're not the correct heads to accomplish that. I was hoping that would've been done as well, but perhaps my needs were not explained good enough. We will continue to hire Southern Landscape Solutions, but I'll just be a bit more detailed in what I need done. Worthy of a call and a quote for your landscaping needs !!! read more

We contracted work April 2022 but it was mid June before the work began. We spent over $6,000 and watered according to instructions but so many plants died! I was expecting our garden to have plants in varied heights and color but we are very disappointed in the final results. It was very expensive to only be able to say the flower beds are clean. They forgot to trim an existing crep myrtle tree and told me they would come back but they never returned. I hoped for a happy view but I feel sad to look outside. read more

Called this company to give me a bid on irrigation system repair. They said they would get back with me with an estimate, I am still waiting, but no contact after four days. It was a simple repair and shouldn't have taken over a day or even the same day. I called and Josh said he was still working on it. When I lived in Pflugerville Southern Landscape were able and ready to make irrigation repairs caused by the yard mowers. Before I moved out of Pville. So disappointed! The website says that they do design/build for xeriscaping. After spending over and hour with Sean, telling him what I needed, he referred me to a landscape designer. If he actually doesn't do design, why did he waste my time? I would have to go over everything again with the landscape designer and he would charge me $600-2,500 just for the design. What I wanted done wasn't even that complex! Then, who knows what Sean might bid on the actual job or when he would get it done! Stick with lawn sprinklers, Sean. This is the second outdoor project where I've hired Sean and his outstanding team at Southern Landscape Solutions. The first project was to improve our front yard in terms of new plants, lighting and boarders. Had a beautiful, landscaped walking path and seating area constructed on the side of my house. Originally, it was a mud pit that I couldn't visualize transformed into usable space. Sean and Josh did a complete restoration of our landscape including removal of old plants and shrubs, new landscape plan, installation of 130 new plants and shrubs and 1 tree and added mulch to all flowerbeds. They completed the job on schedule and in one day and did a great job. They were professional, honest, reliable, more than fair, etc. They greatly exceeded my expectations and have earned the highest recommendation that I can give. We have a severe deer problem in our neighborhood and although all the new plants were deer "resistant" or deer "proof", several were eaten after installation. They immediately replaced those plants (approximately 50) with different deer "resistant" or deer "proof" plants. They returned a second time and replaced another 7 plants. They did all of this at their own expense and without any urging on my part. They would not give up until we were completely satisfied and the new landscape was something to be proud of. read more

Run. Emerald Lawns also recommended Sean to me and I relied on him to install both a sprinkler system and an entire new yard. I'd told him I didn't think grass would ever grow on 1/3 of my yard and wanted him to put the lawn & system only in the rest of the yard. He assured me he had the perfect grass that would grow there and I paid him many thousands of dollars over the next couple of years. As I had predicted, I now have 1/3 of my yard that is nothing but eroding mud and dirt. When I asked him for a quote for replacing the grass entirely, he wanted $5,000 more dollars to fill it with rocks. He has refused to even respond to my request that he shoulder some of that cost since he knew I only acted on his specific guarantee and I've now wasted additional huge sums paying Emerald Lawns for fertilizing dirt and the City for watering the dirt over the past three years. I now have to hire someone else to do what he's already been paid in full to do. My next step is the courts. Do not take his recommendations. My next-door neighbor also used him at the same time and has been highly critical of him as well, complaining that Sean basically sold us both out. read more
