I fell in love with a diamond wedding band from a different (and MUCH more expensive) store, but 2 months later their ring dropped a diamond. The Other Store had such awful customer service that I showed up to Phillips and asked if they could help. I was immediately greeted and my ring looked over. The quote was a fourth the price of what The Other Store was asking, and they had the work done THAT NIGHT. You can't even tell which stone was replaced, but I've learned my lesson - always go to Phillips for fine jewelry if you want it to last!

When the men went to go pick up their tuxedos on Wednesday as they had been told to do, there was such a long line that the wait was three hours long. Then after waiting patiently, the owner locked the door and told the men that were lined up that they had to come back tomorrow. Unacceptable. When we finally did get the tuxedos, every single one of them was wrong. One was missing a bowtie. Not one of the jackets fit properly. Two of the men's jackets were 7 inches short And their dress shirts stuck out those 7 inches. One young man's fit so poorly that another traded jackets with him so he wouldn't be humiliated escorting the presentee. The biggest disaster was my husband's tuxedo. He ordered a dark charcoal gray tuxedo, and instead received a white dinner jacket. Which was appallingly small. So small, in fact, that he could not wear it. He also could not wear the shirt that was provided or even get it buttoned. My husband had to attend the event with the clothes he was wearing because he absolutely could not wear the tuxedo. our special event was completely ruined by this company. Take my advice and avoid disaster. Please rent your tuxedo from any other establishment. The staff was rude and I will be asking for a full refund.

a wonderful & educational experience. the most fun we have ever had spending money!…read more it was our first time making a purchase in liz beth, & we were pleasantly surprised when liz suggested that they, because our vehicle was too small, take a few pieces to our home so that we could get a feel for them in that space. we were not certain what to expect, but we got so much more! liz & bart, her son, came into our home & spent the next 2 hrs or so offering suggestions on art placement, rehanging art & giving us frank opinions. it did not feel like having a salesperson in our home, liz was actually forthright when she felt like something did not fit & bart had some great ideas on the placement of our existing art. their patience was saintly. of the three pieces they brought, we only ended up keeping one, although they allowed us to hold on to the other overnight, to decide. more amazing than the valuable service they provided, was the fact that they didn't charge a dime for the service. about a week later, we had another art dilemma, so of course we headed to liz beth's. liz picked out a piece that i was dubious of. it actually took a while to bring me around. but she taught us that often decor is best viewed through a photograph. after heeding her advice, & the advice of gregg & anne, some furniture was moved & the piece that was suggested was properly placed. the after affect is wonderful, i only regret i did not listen to her sooner! again we had an issue with art placement. we found a piece at liz beth that we loved & brought it home. sadly, although we love the artist, it did not work, so we returned it. but instead of conceding defeat, anne & liz kept providing options until the right piece was found. we are ecstatic with the piece we decided on & more importantly what it has added to our home. our experience with liz beth has been stress & pressure free; more like going to see friends. we have never been encouraged to buy anything. to the contrary, we were often advised to take a piece home, to get a feel for it in the space. at least once, liz has refused to let us pay for something, cautioning us to take more time for consideration. gregg & anne have learned our taste & are always on the lookout for new pieces. thanks to anne, bart, gregg & liz, our home has become a true showplace for some fantastic pieces. if you are in the market for art, or even framing, don't even consider going anywhere else. the true value liz beth provides is an excellent staff with knowledge of art & design & the best customer service we have ever encountered.

Honoring my mother…read more At 6:00 am this Saturday morning, I learned that my mother had passed away. My siblings and I had gathered from around the country fearing this outcome. After a few hours processing the news, I composed myself and decided to set up a makeshift memorial to her at my brother's house. I knew Kroger flowers wouldn't do. I wanted to honor my mom with a dazzling display of various and vibrant colors. Halls Flower Shop was the closest florist to me. I called to ask if they had loose flowers so I could select them for my own arrangement. The cheerful young woman on the phone said yes. I arrived around 12:15 pm. I didn't see bins of cut flowers I could peruse, but upon mentioning the need, the same young woman kindly escorted me to the back to see the selection. With her help, I selected what seemed like 3 of everything. She was so kind and helpful through the entire process; if I'd pointed to an unhealthy flower, she'd pick a better one. When one of the carnations (my mom's favorite) snapped as she was transferring it to a bucket, she gave it to me. I was touched by this simple gesture. Along the way, she would kindly caution me as she saw the total price rising. She'd tell me the cost of each individual flower as the cost mounted. Given that this was a once-in-my-lifetime need, I told her to keep going. That was very kind of her, though, to look out for my wallet. By this point it was around 12:45, the store closed at 1 pm, and I'd picked an extraordinary number of flowers of all colors and redolence. Not wanting to keep her past quitting time, I asked if she could just basically trim them and put them in 2 vases I'd chosen. I didn't need them perfectly arranged. She agreed. While I waited, another young woman who had helped and conveyed the same empathy and warmth as the first, noticed me crying. The news was so fresh. She brought me a box of Kleenex and a water. She also made a boutonniere out of the broken carnation and helped me pin it on my t-shirt. I wore that all day long and have kept it as a memento. When the 2 vases of offsetting heights came out, I got emotional not just at the beauty of the flowers but at the skill and care taken in arranging them. Far from being 'just putting them in a vase,' she had brought me 2 works of art. They were stunning arrangements. A bit emotional, I paid the bill. She put the vases in cardboard boxes and helped me get them in the car. "Support them from the bottom," she helpfully added about the boxes. At home and set on opposite sides of the scruffy memorial I'd made in front of a darkened TV, they complemented the candles and photographs we'd hastily gathered, catching the light of the sun during the day; the flame of the candles at night. They brought much-needed brightness and happiness to the sad occasion. They were absolutely gorgeous and the aromas absolutely intoxicating. It was a feast for the senses and it mattered deeply to my family. (The picture doesn't do them justice, but trust me on their splendor). So a huge thanks to Halls Flower Shop for helping me at a very delicate time to do something special to honor my mother's memory. Your warmth, kindness and assistance will stay with me forever as a positive aspect of an otherwise sad day. And mom, I hope you liked them. Pretty sure from your vantage point, they were even more beautiful than from mine.
