Four and a half years ago, my husband and I went to Ron at Gemstone Designs with my original wedding set, and various other jewelry, given to me by my husband over our 20 year marriage and a sketch of a wedding ring we wanted designed using stones from all of the jewelry, to make a new band for our 20th anniversary. We were involved in every step of the process and allowed to make small changes along the way. We ended up with a beautiful, original, and unique wedding ring that I will treasure for years to come. I have received compliments at least weekly since receiving it four and a half years ago. It is a stunning piece of jewelry. I couldn't be happier with my ring that was modified by Ron at Gemstone Designs. I asked him to take the diamonds from my platinum wedding band (which I could no longer wear) and make them into a halo for the center stone on my engagement ring (which I wear every day.) I wanted to change the style of my engagement ring a bit, but t was important to me to use the stones from my original band. Ron worked with me on the concept, designed it using a computer model and let me provide input, and produced a finished product that exceeded my expectations. I recently took a bent ring to Jared's to straighten out. They quoted me over $100 to fix along with telling me that it is not guaranteed and possibly the ring could get damaged in the process. I remembered gemstone designs and the great service I received before, the owner fixed it in 10 seconds by putting it on his ring sizer and stretching it out. I have a bracelet which has links that kept coming apart due to connecting pins coming out. He spot soldered all of the pins into place and polished the bracelet to a mirror shine. It now looks better than it did when it was brand new. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship or service and I will be back. read more
