Was purchased 19 years ago for over $5000 from reputable local jeweler (Not Kay's or Jared's). The lady behind the counter looked at it under her loop and tested it. Told me it was Moissonite and she'd give me $150 as that's all it was worth. I freaked. I left, went home, looked up the GIA appraisal which said nothing about it being Moissonite and said insurance replacement cost was $5800. I truly believed she was trying to rob me!
