I had Jessica, who was the owner. She completely butchered my hair. I asked for a shadow root that matched my roots and instead she basically gave me black roots and it went all the way down my face so it looked like I haven't been in a salon in forever. Not only that but she was unsure of what she was doing during the process. She had already applied the hair stuff to my hair for the shadow route and then asked her colleague if she thought that it was too dark. As the owner you would think that you were proficient and do what you were doing to where you didn't need to ask one of your employees if Youre unsure AFTER the application in front of a customer. At the salon it didn't look too bad since she styled it. But once I got home and took a shower and styled it myself it looked terrible. Not only that but she left color all around my face and on my ears and did it take the time to remove it before I left the salon. I decided to sleep on it that night and maybe I would have been OK the next day but my hair still looks terrible and I had a work event coming up so I needed it fixed. I had ended up also purchasing the purple shampoo and conditioner from them, which I hadn't used yet. After a few days past I contacted the salon and expressed my disappointment and that I wanted my money back. The salon owner argued with me via Facebook messenger and try to get me to go back to her so she could fix it. At that point there's a lot of negative feelings towards her and I'm sure towards me so I wouldn't have felt comfortable going back to her. I decided to book with another person who had fit me in last minute just to help break up the red and the darkness from the color that she had put in which somehow had hints of red in it. After I told the salon owner that she didn't have a no refund policy on any of her websites or receipt that she had agreed to refund me the amount but I had to return the shampoo and conditioner before 11 AM she said. Mind you I also contacted the salon a few times about my hair before it escalated and she read my messages and ignored them. After I got my refund she messaged and said that she would appreciate if I didn't say anything bad about the experience since they're a new salon located in the heart of downtown new Bern North Carolina. I thought that was extremely shady, and sneaky. It also is not me to share false information because if it were me I would want to make sure I knew that something like this happened. I recently found out that Jessica, had done something very similar to other clients who were also unhappy and asked them to also not say anything bad about her company. I will never be back nor keep my mouth shut about my experience even though I was asked to.
Oh! Let's not forget about the fact that she posted the picture of my hair that had multiple filters on it so it didn't even look like my hair, with the caption we strive for happy clients. I was livid! I demanded them to take it down and as soon as I post to my story they removed it immediately. read more
