Such a stunning place with many things to try. The pours are generous and it's located in an area that is hidden. Beautiful!

Be advised: Kids are not allowed on the *property*, not just at the bar. We've been here a few times and the wines are great. The staff are hit or miss--we've had exceptional service and we've had kind of *weird* service. Quick remarks, pretty intense awkward staring, things of the sort. The location is gorgeous once you get down that super steep hill of an entrance though, and every time we've been they've had live music which is always fun. Going to keep showing up and trying more out. Too pretty not to lol

The Trainette white wine is exquisite. Nice open tasting room to take in the scenery. Service was great and friendly. Easy 30 minute drive from Asheville, well worth the drive. Will definitely return.

While this might be the newest vineyard in the area, they are certainly delivering on an all-around experience! Tasty food truck, great wine flights, live music, a chance to walk through the vineyard, and meeting the owner. We couldn't ask for more and can't wait to return!

We did both the Wine Safari and the Two Sins tasting and Ken and (mostly?) Angela did a phenomenal job setting them up. Purchased a couple plus one bottles of the Twin Sins as they are a very limited "bourbon barrel aged" production. These folks, all the help and the place is simply superb! Thanks so much...

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Love the open air concept of the tasting room. Plenty of seating to view the gorgeous mountains and grape vines. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms clean. All the wines on their flight menu are dry, I'm not the biggest fan of dry but they were still good. And they have guest wifi, and thankfully because signal can be a bit spotty out there. Would highly recommend checking them out.

Another impressive vineyard in the area, SWV features an open-air tasting room (but don't worry, they have cool vinyl walls that they lower in colder weather), producing a cool, relaxed vibe. They specialize in eastern and Central European grapes (lemberger, regent, Gruber) which they pair with cab franc and Cynthiana. They offer a white flight and a red flight. I chose the red, and I really enjoyed everything. Not on the flight was the More Shenanigans, a blend of lemberger, cynthiana, regent, and cab franc. It's a tart, juicy, lighter bodied red that shouldn't be ignored. Prices are fair, and the service was great. Souther is a real must try in the area!

Lovely smelling soap there on the left.

The rollercoaster-like drive from the road onto the main driveway was just the beginning of the fun of Souther Williams. Located in a lovely little nook of gorgeousness right off the road, it is one of the nicest, laid-back, and loveliest little spots we visited during our stay in the area. The tasting patio is ample and provides tons of shade for all the gorgeous humans and dogs who love hanging out with wine people. There was a food truck out back featuring lobster bowls and other foods that fit all array of dietary categories. Well played, food truck people. The food paired well with all the wine being poured. Fanciest flights I've seen in a while. We were invited to go check out the bathrooms, which each featured a different theme. My favorite was the large one with the handles near the toilet. Sometimes it helps to have that extra boost. The bathroom soaps were very lovely. I remember smelling my hands for quite a while after. So nice! Tons of really great spots to snap pics, sip wine, or gander at the surroundings. The wine was good too.

We visited the Vineyard on Friday July 21, early afternoon. We were greeted by Claire, tasting server, who was knowledgeable and provided exceptional service. I chose the red flight. All 4 wines were wonderful. The vineyard was beautiful, with comfortable seating options. The owners put a lot of effort into the details of the facility making our visit very enjoyable. We will be back!

This was our second trip to Souther Williams and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the owners tasting experience which is a 5 wine tasting paired with tapas. What a treat! The owners Ken and Angela treated us like royalty! The wines were so delicious, the food pairings were 5 star gourmet and the views from their house overlooking the vineyards were breathtaking! If you ever get the chance to experience this-do it! The tasting room alone is reason enough to visit. This vineyard is not to be missed when visiting the NC!

Beautiful winery/vineyard in the Carolinas! We stopped here on a visit to Asheville and it was such a fun venue. The location is picturesque, and the vineyards are so easy to walk through. The music and yard games they had were a nice touch, as were the pairs of chairs spread all around. The ladies who helped us were very nice and quick to wait on us. Great option if you're visiting the wineries in the area!

This was our second visit to SWV and won't be our last. The wines are delicious, the atmosphere perfect for day drinking and the service top notch. Highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of visiting Souther Williams' opening weekend. Hendersonville's new gem and best winery has officially arrived! I truly have to give them a 5 out of 5 in every category: Wines - all well-balanced, the tasting notes were spot on, many varietals to choose from, flights were excellent Service - tasting room staff was knowledgeable and attentive Tasting Room - beautiful, comfortable, open air Vibe - Fun, dog-friendly, adult-friendly, relaxing, plenty of room Suggestion: You should go!!!!

We technically arrived 10 minutes before they opened and just soaked up the views. Finally we meandered inside. Point Lookout Vineyards is the winery, but Top of the World is the meadery. John selected 5 wines & 1 mead for a flight & i went 5 meads with one wine as my flight. We grabbed a glass of water & picked out our seat. We also spring for a 10 inch pepperoni pizza since it was lunch time. 1st- skip the pizza. IMO it didn't match the caliber of the experience in its entirety. Too much like a tostinos frozen pizza. The wine and meads were stellar. I started with Sweet Carolina Girl, a mid- sweet blended red that was bold in flavor, with that rich fruit. Very luscious. Next up, the Orange Blossom Mead, exactly as expected. Velvety mouth feel, bright flavor. The Beguile was next, a raspberry mead- at first sip, I was hesitant to like it. I went around the tasting and came back and liked it much more after the second sip. The Masala surprised me, a Chai tea mead, I'm not usually a fan of Chai tea but I was intrigued by the description. The clove and ginger with the cardamom was delightful. Mimi's Apple Pie was also very yummy, I honestly stay away from most "apple pie" flavors, because it usually never does it justice. This was an exception. Finishing this mead in bourbon barrels sealed the deal. Last & not at all the least was Sting, the classic orange blossom mead fermented with juniper berries, finished in a gin barrel. Startling on the palette. A very unique flavor profile for mead & I loved it! Overall, I absolutely loved my experience! We bought 3 bottles! Sting Mead, the Masala Chai Tea Mead & the Sweet Carolina Girl wine.

We set inside, large fans and big open doors made for a beautiful breeze that blew through. Keeping you cool and comfortable Music 5-8pm from a guitar player. Large selection of beers on tap all cold and delicious, on the beer side service was friendly and quick. We ordered food from their kitchen, my husband had a mixed leafy green salad-(lots of arugula) he added a piece of Salmon on top. Salad was first served with zero dressing (yuk) my husband took it back had salad dressing added he said it was good. I had the wings (teriyaki), they were hot, crispy and delicious. I will definitely.order them again. On the bar side - Trailside bartender was "unfriendly" several in our party ordered sodas and mixed drinks, the woman bartender was indifferent with an attitude, like it was a bother to take a drink order. I returned for a refill of soda and was told nastily "$3 we don't do refills" WOW! Really??? No need to be nasty I didn't know and last time I was there the bartender happily refilled my soda-(which was mostly ice) Obviously this lady dislikes her job! No matter how fun or nice a place is or how good the food, if service is lacking or server gives a negative attitude people won't return. I would give 5 stars to Trailside Brewing if service would have been friendly and smiled.
