What a lovely place! I visited North Carolina to explore Asheville area, and couldn't help myself but to stop at the local winery. Located only 30 minutes away from Asheville, this winery is a combination of relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. To do the tasting you need reservations. Unfortunately, I did not have reservations, and even though I was there by myself, I was not allowed to do the tasting. It's completely understandable due to the pandemic regulations. With that said, I didn't feel like I was very welcome there, but again it's just my perception. That did not prevent me from getting a glass of wine and sipping it outside on the patio. I also walked around by the grapes, the view was very nice. You also get a glass to take home with you, which was very nice. Overall, I had a positive experience.

Love this place. A little effort to get to but so worth it. We went for bottles instead of tastings. I highly recommend the Coming Home- light Cabernet savignon. Matt, the wine expert, was amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable. We sat outside with a view of the vineyard. Will definitely be back.

Addison Farms is located on a bee-you-tiful piece of property in Leicester, NC North, North west of Asheville. I went here because this place has a little special place in my heart. Many years ago when i was in school at Surry Community College for the Grape and Wine science program we traveled to this very vineyard to help plant some vines in the vineyard. We were learning about grafting vines and planting and this was part of a class project. I wanted to see how the wine tasted and how the vines were holding up. I never got to walk down in the vineyard as they were having a wedding there. Always a joyous and beautiful (see I really do know how to spell that word!) occasion. Our lady that ran the tasting was really nice and on point. Very down to earth and not that "syrupy fake" personality that one sometimes encounters in the public service industry. You had to make reservations due to covid, they were strongly encouraged at least. The wines were a bit different some with herbal qualities I wasn't really too fond of them, I am more of a traditionalist when it come to wine. I really enjoyed the Port style wine they make and the bottle of Petite Manseng that we enjoyed on the front porch while talking to some other people. In fact that 30 minute tasting ended up being a 4 hour chat with some new friends. In my book, thats a good day by any standard!

This was the best winery find! The winery was beautiful and the wine was great. Everything was so smooth and the staff was so friendly!

Very cute small business. Wine was different from typical wines but was definitely tasty we also enjoyed the cheese plate got. The view was also incredible. Would definitely come back!

I was confused as most vineyards give you the glass after you pay for a tasting and it indicated it was included but we were charged! Otherwise, great experience and definitely worth a visit! You won't be disappointed! Beautiful views! Knowledgeable and engaging staff!

Delicious wines and stunning views! Highly recommend. Taking a few bottles home with me! I'll 1000% be back next time I'm in Asheville!

What a great place! Incredible location, gorgeous views all around. We did a wine tasting, and it was one of the best wine tasting experiences ever. The staff is super knowledgeable, welcoming and accommodating. We had five little kids with us, and were given a 5 star service and attention. The wines were unusual and delicious.

I came across this winery online, and I am so glad I did. The people were amazing especially Matt, so accommodating with our party. We had the honor of meeting the owner and he gave us a personal tour of the winery. It's a family winery and that is its biggest charm, I'm so happy we found them! Wine was delicious by the way...

I couldn't say enough great things about Jeff and Addison Farms. He gave us a detailed tour and Even came and sat with my boyfriend and me to chat afterwards. It was so nice to hear a detailed winemaking explanation and get to know the lifeblood behind the business. Just like he recommends-- the experience is so much better if you ask questions. I'm definitely scheduling a tour/wine tasting every time I come back to Asheville, and a huge thank you to Jeff for the great tour.

    Great wine and gorgeous views!

We drove approximately 30-40 minutes from the Biltmore to visit Addison Farms Vineyard and we were not disappointed! We arrived 30 minutes before they closed and were immediately welcomed and never felt rushed through our experience. The woman at the wine bar was very knowledgeable and the wines were very good. At closing time, the owner greeted us and allowed us to stay to enjoy the amazing views from the front patio. He even spent a considerable amount of time with us and talked about the vineyard, recommended great spots in Asheville, and took our picture. We would certainly recommend Addison Farms Vineyard to anyone visiting Asheville.

We had the best time celebrating. Even in the rain, the vineyard was so cute and inviting. The wine was yummy and we can't wait to go back when it's not raining.

At first we drove by the unassuming entrance to this vineyard. We called to ensure they were open and had the location correct. Upon entering the property, you follow a a small gravel drive to to right to be greeted by an adorable building perched atop a hill overlooking the vineyard. We arrived and only one other couple was in the small tasting room. What a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our very informative tasting and even left with three bottles of wine. We will definitely be back the next time we visit the area and the trek to this vineyard was absolutely worthwhile!

Very quiet atmosphere. Barely got a sip during the wine tastings. There's better vineyards in the area to go to before this one.

A little customer service etiquette and a simple smile would have been a start. The woman who came to meet at us at bar seemed like we were putting her out and being a big bother just to be asking her a question. I don't see how this place could get a rating of 5 when it is so uncomfortable to even enter the premises!! Need to give education on how to welcome people in and present the wines and make us feel comfortable!! We made a long drive for absolutely nothing; have been to many wineries and breweries in areas around Tenn, NC, & Ga. And cans rate them all a 5!! Very miserable experience; glad we walked out before even sitting down!! Can't even rate this place - it's pathetic!! The one star rating should be a -1 !!

I had some spots in Maggie Valley bookmarked, so I made my way to the charming little hamlet. I initially wanted to get food and drink at the local brewery, but despite Yelp and Google saying they were open....that was not the case at all. So...just a little ways up the road was my other bookmarked place: B & C Winery. The whole of Maggie Valley seemed to be a bit deserted, but the winery (which also houses a pharmacy...weird, but you know...small town charming!) was open and I had the place to myself. The woman working greeted me right away and gave me a rundown of what I could do for a tasting while I looked over the multiple rows of offerings. There is almost too much to choose from, but you are sure to find something (or rather, several somethings) in your preferred sweetness or flavor palate. I enjoyed my tasting, enjoyed chatting with the proprietor and learning about the business, and I happily left with a couple bottles of wine to come home with me. I'm not sure I would encourage you to go too far out of your way to stop here. But if you were in the general area or passing through, it is definitely worth a little visit.

They make it sound like it would be an experience, though it was pretty much a regular tasting with three rows of cheese and three stacks of crackers. Considering that we had purchased three of the Groupons you would think that they would have maybe fluffed it up a little bit, I thought maybe we would have been tasting our wine while we had our cheese, but we just stood at the counter doing shots of wine which was somewhat tasteless. I get that they don't use extra flavors, but it was pretty nondescript. The view from the back porch was nice however we did need to purchase something to wash down the cheese, and it had to ask for our souvenir glass, which I think possibly if I didn't ask for it they wouldn't have offered.
