The second deck was never permitted. He led me to believe he would get all permits with the town which turned out to be false. So when it was time to sell the home he ghosted me and any information he could provide. In addition, the deck was not built to code. The deck was built too close to the electric meter. I attempted to get a hold of him over and over but never replied. We've sold the home but now it's already cost me over $4k to resolve the COA but still ongoing. He showed up as I was running out the door to an appt. He said he could fix it while i was gone and he did just that! Sent me photos of the door. I asked him to meet me at my appt which was 15 mins away so I could pay him. He charged me a very reasonable price and when I got home I saw that he did and excellent job on the storm door. He added some extra screws. We get crazy wind and weather and now I don't have to worry about the door falling off and glass all over the place.
