This company stained my 60'x12' deck. I pre washed it to save some money as I own a power washer. The man who did the entire deck in 3 days with 2 coats. It came out very nice and I am very pleased. The man was friendly and all business. My only complaint is that when he left on Friday he said I will be here tomorrow between 8:30/9:00. I waited for him to come but no show so I contacted the owner who apologized for him saying he would be here but because it was a holiday weekend he would not be here until Tuesday. I had a wonderful experience with Arbor and E D Painting. I found them somehow online and liked what I read and liked Arbor when I spoke to him and when he came to give me an estimate on our job. We had a few areas that over the years had water damage that needed to be fixed including to 2 ceilings that had what they call a knock down texture on them. so they had to do some retaping and had to smooth out the ceiling to a flat, no texture, finish. He showed up with 2 guys that didn't speak much English but they were really lovely. They both had an app on their phones that would translate when u speak into it for when I needed to tell them something. We've lived in our 300 year old home for 34 years and have had our home painted SO many times by many different painting companies with mostly mixed results. We decided to try E D Painting and will never go with anyone else. Arber Dhima, the project manager, was very responsive and gave us a thorough and reasonable estimate and that never changed through the whole process. We've never had such care taken in the prep work the crew did on our historic home. Arbor's crew spent almost two weeks scraping and sanding as well as patching and caulking. It was tedious work but the crew of five worked tirelessly and actually seemed to be enjoying themselves (That may have been my imagination ). To a person, they couldn't have been more pleasant to have around and more respectful of us and our pets, even after someone's lunch was stolen by our puppy. When they'd finish for the day, everything was left neatly put away. The painting was no less thorough than the prep. They did a beautiful job. Came across E D painting on a recommendation from a friend. Said he did great work updating their exterior and I should check them out. After going through a very thorough bidding process to paint our house exterior (along with some carpentry work), we ended up choosing E D Painting and a carpenter they work closely with on projects. They offered up a few extras that other painter / carpenters did not offer and the pricing was very competitive. I like to do my homework and they have all current licenses and insurance as well. Bonus (to me at least) that they are local guys vs. a large national chain and prefer to put money back into the local economy when I can. We were a little anxious though, given the smaller nature of the companies. I can say that we ended up very pleased with the quality of work and the ability to work through weather issues and meet the timelines we needed to have the work done. The recommended carpenter shingled and trimmed a portion of our house and did great work. E D Painting had some weather issues to deal with to meet timelines, but had anywhere from 2 - 5 guys at our house whenever the weather permitted and was attacking the project like their livelihood depended on it. All the workers were very thorough and you could tell they took pride in what they were doing. Cleaned up the job site each day and workers all very polite and asking for feedback on work. Definitely would recommend E D Painting if you are looking to do similar exterior work for sure. I'm a hard guy to impress at times (see my other Yelp reviews), but these guys impressed me. read more
