This was the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor and would advise everyone to avoid…read morehim. He never showed up and always had an excuse. He wanted money even though he was not entitled to it under our agreement. He's a personable guy and I was foolish enough to let him have money not yet earned with the result that he spent his time elsewhere, not here. The work that did get done was done by some guy named Christian, and almost everything Christian did had to be redone. But Josh didn't show up to do it. Finally he told me that Christian wasn't working for him anymore because he screwed too much stuff up. Christian also showed up and told me he hadn't been paid for his time. That's when I learned that they hired him to work on my job and didn't bother to supervise. The final straw for me was when Josh demo'd the wood and tile floors. He brought in a big machine to take up the old material, and damaged the front door and put a lot of holes in the wall. It was then another week before he showed up again to grind the old mortar and glue, but he brought two vacuums that didn't work. Since he didn't have a working vacuum there was about a half inch of dust everywhere and he didn't show up to get the dust up for most of a week and I ended up doing it myself. When the dust was gone it was clear that he couldn't see the floor and so couldn't see that there were mounds of old unground mortar everywhere. When he didn't show up for another week to finish the job, I'd had enough and fired him. We were 10 weeks into a project that should have taken 3 or 4 works at most and that he repeatedly promised they'd be going full blast on the next week. Never did. The only thing he ever did was ask for money. Fyi, I am not overly critical of contractors. To the contrary, my electrician was Gilbert Rico and he was always on time and did it right. Michael Archibald did a great job on wall board, including repair of all the damage done by Simple Creek and was willing to come back right away for any needed touch up. Cinar Interiors who did my floors were great to work with. Over and above the quality of the floors, Cinar introduced me to Tony Gomez to paint and Tony and Tristan Ruiz for door installation and trim work. They did great work and went out of their way to get me into the house. Because of Simple Creek, I only had 6 weeks before I had to get out of my other house. Once Cinar and their contacts got in, they were on my side and got me in on time even though they had to do or redo the Simple Creek work plus new cabinets, appliances, paint, floors, doors, trim, countertops, vanities, accessories. toilets, sinks and a lot more. The right contractors are the key to a successful project. I picked the wrong one. I am just very happy I fired Josh when I did. I wish I had done it sooner. Cinar and the others then saved my bacon. I didn't get to do some of the things that were planned, but the new guys delivered a result I'm happy with.

Highly recommend Simple Creek. (We had added a deck to an existing patio on a new home, hiring…read morebased on cost to save money.) In the end, the roof did not comply with code so I called Simple Creek to come out and see what could be done to be in compliance. Josh and Richard performed their magic on the top part of the deck and it looked so beautiful, I knew I had to redo the bottom as well. Josh's creativity was a plus and the quality of their work is exceptional. If you're thinking about hiring based simply on the lowest estimate, think twice. I love my new deck! Thanks guys!

I take exception to that and want to offer my strong approval/recommendation for the many projects completed on my behalf by Bob Kyle and Kyle Construction! Bob Kyle is honest, delivers what he has promised and goes beyond the scope many times to add things that others do not even see to make sure the end product not only meets but exceeds my expectations! He shows up when says he will be there, personally directs his crew and is involved from start to finish. He is adamant about keeping the work areas as clean as possible; there is never any trash left after a day's work. Bob will come anytime there are any concerns whether it is after hours or on weekends! I have been involved with construction in excess of 30 years and this is the first letter of recommendation for a contractor that I have ever written. I have now used Kyle Construction for several projects and am always very happy with the end product. I will continue this relationship for any future renovation or new construction projects I might have! Sincerely, Jennipher Dwyer
