After a significant stay of over three days, which included a surgical procedure, I can confidently…read moresay that Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) provides truly world-class care. I am highly impressed and incredibly thankful to be a part of the Allegheny Health Network. From the moment I arrived, the quality of care was evident. The entire staff--from the administrative team to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and surgeons--were not only competent and talented but also genuinely friendly, patient, and attentive. Every question was answered with care, and I always felt respected and prioritized during my recovery. Beyond the medical excellence, the hospital environment itself was superb. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the attention to hygiene was constant and reassuring. Even the food was delicious and provided great comfort during my recovery. I was also deeply touched by the thoughtful details, like the substantial care package and the puzzles provided to help pass the time--a small gesture that made a huge difference in making the long stay feel more manageable. Allegheny General Hospital exceeded every expectation. If you are facing a stay or surgery, I would highly recommend AGH without any hesitation. This is an exceptional institution.

I went to the triage area and reported the problem, it was not new to them. She had fallen out of her chair earlier in the afternoon, she had reported it to the appropriate folks twice and nothing was done. She was so sick. I saw a police officer and two staff members literally step over her, offered no help. My 96 year old aunt had been brought in via EMS, I was not allowed to go back and see her, they were to call me when she was ready. They never called me back until I insisted I be able to see her, I found her sitting in a wheel chair in the treatment area in her urine. She had asked several workers to take her to the bathroom, no-one helped her, hence she urinated on the floor, no-one cleaned that up. Someone needs to address the care at this madhouse, it was deplorable. Where is the compassionate care?

You will never be called with test results - you can read them in the portal and decipher the results yourself. I have no medical background, so this isn't useful for me. She's been named to Pittsburgh Magazine's Top Doctors list in past years and it's well deserved. Sarah is personable, easy to discuss just about anything with, and really knowledgeable in her field. She never makes you feel like she's rushing to get to the next patient and she's efficient and thorough. She's really good at analyzing your personal risk factors and ordering tests that will give her a clearer picture of your health because her goal is always to keep her patients healthy. Some of the tests she's ordered were things I've literally known nothing about but did them because I trusted her judgment and said afterward, thank goodness I did that when something was discovered that needed to be. Her office has also called me with a subtle reminder to get my act together and call to schedule a test she's felt was necessary and I'd been putting off. How many physicians are that on top of things? I'd venture to guess that type of follow-up is unique and just one more thing that makes her amazing.

She lied about everything that was said in the room. When he spoke with the receptionist she was ignorant and has no customer service skills even if the patient is wrong or not you still need to provide customer service skills that show you care even if you don't at the end of the day the people in the office don't care about their patients they care only about a paycheck. After a follow-up with his PCP which will now do the cleanup of a botched and quite frankly waste of time and still didn't have an answer as to what is wrong even they said they have multiple people complaining about her office. My advice GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! She doesn't even deserve the one star.
