I think it has something to do with the well-honed system of explanations and progression they use as well as the tutor quality. Mathnasium tutors seem to be more intelligent and more respectful to the kids. They are friendly to her and welcoming: She has never said "I like working with this one and not that one" she likes them all, she doesn't ask to quit, and her confidence has increased. We came for homework help. I could have quit when Covid hit but stayed. She needed face to face help and needed some bad experiences in school wiped clean. I originally didn't want the placement test and just wanted to take it from where she was but am so glad now they do it that way. Parents see the placement test results and monthly progress report which might panic you with how much needs to be done, but even a month or two is worth it if you can't stay longer.

With over…read more1500 sales people and a lot of money invested in the seminar Duro-Last picked exactly the right speaker when they chose Mike. He related to the audience in a way I have seldom seen and made a very tough audience laugh and feel at home. His points were hard hitting and to the point and delivered in a way that we will all remember . I would recommend Mike to anyone looking for a keynote speaker.

We went to this place for a 4-year old birthday party…read more Honestly, the concept is fun, but the "teachers" kept insisting on the parents leaving to get their "grown-up time" and kept suggesting bars and coffee shops around. Some parents left but some of us stayed because we wanted to see what it all was (which the teachers were clearly disappointed with lol). They made the kids all sit around a table and all the kids took turns adding ingredients to a bowl and stirring with a whisk as the teacher brought everything to each kid around the table. One of the teachers spilled flour on my son's head, and another doused one of the girls' pancakes in syrup where they were literally drenched in it. Some kids got their food and started eating while two of the kids were just sitting there waiting for the next batch of pancakes, watching their friends eat theirs. Also, the menu was pancakes with syrup, ice cream sundae (kids made the ice cream, pancakes and whipped cream) and then cake of course... everything sugary, all before lunch time. And then the teachers suggested we take the kids to a nearby park to blow off their energy. Needless to say, all the kids were super wired up and all the parents were quite annoyed because no one ate lunch nor napped. But like I said, that was a neat concept and knowing this, maybe you can find an appropriate time of the day for your party so parents won't be annoyed.

Farming school! Who could hate on that? Well apparently some local county government did last…read moreyear and they almost got shut down. But thankfully Scott Avett of the Avett brothers came to the rescue and with the media as well, these guys are back in business. A review really can't do this place justice, you need to do your own research. They could be helping the future of farming. We need small farms, but unless you grew up on one its hard to know the logistics, much less if its even your kind of thing. These guys not only help you learn how to farm, and the monetary logistics, but they also let you have a plot of your own to try out, with only a small investment. I really wish I could say more, but just do some research yourself, or help get involved. Check out how the CFSA is involved. If you are a foodie, this should be important to you.

If you're looking for a preschool for your child, I cannot recommend Planet Playschool enough…read more When you visit, you'll notice that the facility is a house that has been thoughtfully partitioned into different classroom spaces. While it may not look like a large commercial daycare center, don't let that fool you. Behind those doors is one of the most loving, family-oriented preschool environments I've ever experienced. My children absolutely adore Planet Playschool. My son literally calls the director his "best friend," and both of my kids love every teacher there. One of my favorite things about the school is that while each child has a primary teacher, they interact with all of the teachers throughout the day. That means every teacher truly knows every child, and every child feels loved and supported by the entire staff. The teacher turnover is incredibly low, which says a lot about the culture they've built. The staff genuinely cares about the children, and it shows in everything they do. The teachers don't just teach the kids, they love them. My daughter graduated from Planet Playschool and entered the Dual Immersion program with Mooresville Graded School District fully prepared and ready to succeed. Another thing I appreciate is how clean they keep the facility. The classrooms receive a full scrub-down every night, which gives me peace of mind knowing the children are learning and playing in a clean environment. Again, I cannot recommend Planet Playschool enough. We Love Love Love Mindy and her staff!!!

As a dad of three kids who have attended Planet Playschool over the years (with two still there…read morenow), I can honestly say it's been a great experience for our family. The staff is absolutely fantastic! My oldest was more than prepared for kindergarten and had a great year thanks to the foundation Ms. Rachel helped build at Planet Playschool. I also appreciate that they've worked hard to keep costs affordable despite the rising cost of everything else. It's not easy to find a preschool that provides this level of care, preparation, and value. I cannot recommend Planet Playschool enough. 10 out of 10!
