I always felt a sense of magic whenever I walked the woods, gazed at the pond, and saw the joy on each child's face on the nature playground! I was always in awe of the unique activities and ideas flowing through the children and teachers! Ms. Carolyn is such an incredible soul who values children and offers each of them an invitation to receive an incredible love of learning. The foundational skills of curiosity, social interaction, creativity, exploration, and problem solving are rock solid after my child's preschool experience. His connection to nature and love for science couldn't be more beautiful. There is no other preschool in our area that comes close to this unique forest school experience. In addition, we took advantage of the summer camp offerings and birthday party packages as well!! We drove 25 min between our home and the school. It is worth every moment of commuting to give my child such a rich childhood experience. I plan to continue my relationship with Woodland Discovery when my youngest is old enough to begin!!

The experience of having three young children removed from a daycare setting under questionable…read morecircumstances raises serious concerns about fairness, inclusion, and the duty of care that childcare providers owe to every family they serve. In this situation, the decision to expel the children appeared not to be rooted in clear behavioral or safety issues, but instead reflected a troubling pattern of unequal treatment that strongly suggests racial bias. From the beginning, the children were reportedly treated differently from their peers. Minor, age-appropriate behaviors were singled out and escalated into disciplinary issues, while similar actions by other children were overlooked or handled with patience and understanding. Communication with the parents lacked consistency and transparency, with vague explanations and shifting justifications that failed to provide a clear or reasonable basis for the daycare's actions. The most concerning aspect of this situation is the apparent role that race played in how these children were perceived and managed. Bias--whether explicit or implicit--can influence how behaviors are interpreted, often leading to unfair labeling of children as "problematic" or "difficult." In early childhood settings, where development varies widely and guidance is essential, such bias can have lasting emotional and psychological effects. Being excluded at such a formative stage can harm a child's sense of belonging, self-worth, and trust in authority figures. Equally troubling is the lack of accountability demonstrated by the daycare. Instead of engaging in open dialogue, offering support strategies, or working collaboratively with the family to address any concerns, the facility chose removal as a first response. This not only disrupts the children's routine and stability but also places an unnecessary burden on the parents, who must now find alternative care under stressful and unjust circumstances. Daycares are entrusted with more than supervision--they are responsible for fostering inclusive, supportive environments where all children can grow and thrive. Situations like this highlight the urgent need for stronger oversight, anti-bias training, and clear policies that protect families from discriminatory practices. No child should be denied access to care or treated unfairly because of their race. In conclusion, the removal of these three children appears to be less about behavior and more about bias, reflecting a broader issue that must be addressed within childcare systems. Families deserve transparency, respect, and equal treatment, and children deserve safe spaces where they are valued for who they are. Addressing these concerns openly is the first step toward ensuring that such incidents do not continue to occur. And I asked Blair multiple times does it seem fair that my child is in a different classroom not bothering anybody his teacher tells me every day how sweet he is and how much she loves him and now you're telling me that because my other son got into it with a child in his classroom. None of my children are allowed in school and Blair could not answer me. Blair was a deaf mute on the phone and told me she feel today should be all of my children last day. See I work hard. I take care of my children and I always show the upmost respect And see when your mom is a part of the NAACP and your aunt is the news reporter this is definitely not good for anyone. But my kids being discriminated against will not be accepted and no shape of form. I hope that other parents that may go through this take the same actions I'm taking.

He has always been a very shy kid, and school experience was challenging for him. All the school staff were extremely attentive and helpful during his transition period. His first teacher, Ms Megan, always hugged him when he came and spoke in soft voice to make him feel comfortable. I was amazed how my son changed in the school. I couldn't believe my eyes when after a couple of months I saw him running from the car to go to school! It's also impressive to see all creative and development activities they do. My son learned all his letters and numbers, he learned shapes and colors even before going to the next age group. Most importantly, he learned to love making art and create! Ms Crystal and Ms K from his next age group are incredible, they both know each child very well and have individual approach to each of them. We had to leave the school after moving to another state, and now I have a very challenging task to find another place with such a warm and loving atmosphere and great teachers, like in Goddard School in Concord.

You cannot communicate to the teachers through the app like we had in the past. I want to be able to reach out directly if need be without having to call in since I work throughout the day. The process should be made easy for the parents based on the rate to have my kids in enrolled. I have talked to other parents about the app and some dont even use it at all. There are times where my kids will come home with new marks and the teachers dont always know what happened. This might be based on the ratio of students to teachers or it could be based on lack of attentiveness. My 3 year old in particular is just thriving. He loves school and his teachers and has so much to tell us about what he does daily. It's a warm, welcoming environment and the teachers are first class. Someone else posted about the COVID closing including a sudden closing on a Friday morning. We are part of that class that closed. I want to point out what extreme circumstances we are all in and childcare facilities have an extra hard job having to Navigate this and keep kids and teachers safe and keep paying the wonderful staff. Personally I think Primrose communication around COVID has been beyond excellent. They are mandated to close in specific situations and always communicate thoroughly, quickly and frequently. I want my kids' school to thrive so yes I want to support them financially. And for that reviewer who said 'where's the proof' - that is called HIPPA or patient privacy. You don't get to see other peoples' medical records. I certainly don't think a preschool is going to lie about that. If you're that worried, pull your kid out. Primrose is WONDERFUL. I'm so grateful to the staff who love my kids for all they do and all they endure. It's a fantastic daycare and we never want to go anywhere else.

On multiple occasions management has made the choice to close down for weeks with little to no warning to parents and demand parents continue making payments despite not being open. on one occasion they sent out a mass email 8pm on a Sunday stating that a temporary staff member tested positive and that they would be closed for the next 2 weeks. They provided no proof of positive testing or exposure to any students. on another occ they sent out a mass email in the middle of the day in the middle of a work week and demanded all parents pick up their children within the hour because a person had tested positive. Again they would be closed for 2 weeks and we would be forced to continue paying, again with no proof of exposure. today on the 3rd occasion they once again sent out a mass email, this time at 6pm on a Friday informing parents that again supposedly someone tested positive and they will once again be closed for 2 weeks and we would still be required to pay for services not provided. Again without providing any proof of positive tests results, or proof of exposure.
