I always felt a sense of magic whenever I walked the woods, gazed at the pond, and saw the joy on each child's face on the nature playground! I was always in awe of the unique activities and ideas flowing through the children and teachers! Ms. Carolyn is such an incredible soul who values children and offers each of them an invitation to receive an incredible love of learning. The foundational skills of curiosity, social interaction, creativity, exploration, and problem solving are rock solid after my child's preschool experience. His connection to nature and love for science couldn't be more beautiful. There is no other preschool in our area that comes close to this unique forest school experience. In addition, we took advantage of the summer camp offerings and birthday party packages as well!! We drove 25 min between our home and the school. It is worth every moment of commuting to give my child such a rich childhood experience. I plan to continue my relationship with Woodland Discovery when my youngest is old enough to begin!!

The emergent curriculum is a relief is a sea of preschools where kids are forced to do worksheets, this is truly a play-based preschool. The kids spend TONS of time outside, rain or shine, and the playground is magnificent. There is a strong focus on the children learning independence, which I really appreciate. Teachers empower children to resolve issues and challenges themselves, which has given my children great skills that make them ready for Kindergarten socially. They have a lot of agency, which grows their confidence and is a good outlet for the "I do it myselfs". Plus, there is a focus on healthy living, as the Schoolhouse only serves fresh fruits and vegetables for snack! Being snack-helper is one of my kids' favorite activities. This school is a great fit for any family that wants their kids to be kids, experience true play-based learning, and spend lots of time in nature.

He has always been a very shy kid, and school experience was challenging for him. All the school staff were extremely attentive and helpful during his transition period. His first teacher, Ms Megan, always hugged him when he came and spoke in soft voice to make him feel comfortable. I was amazed how my son changed in the school. I couldn't believe my eyes when after a couple of months I saw him running from the car to go to school! It's also impressive to see all creative and development activities they do. My son learned all his letters and numbers, he learned shapes and colors even before going to the next age group. Most importantly, he learned to love making art and create! Ms Crystal and Ms K from his next age group are incredible, they both know each child very well and have individual approach to each of them. We had to leave the school after moving to another state, and now I have a very challenging task to find another place with such a warm and loving atmosphere and great teachers, like in Goddard School in Concord.

My 3 year old in particular is just thriving. He loves school and his teachers and has so much to tell us about what he does daily. It's a warm, welcoming environment and the teachers are first class. Someone else posted about the COVID closing including a sudden closing on a Friday morning. We are part of that class that closed. I want to point out what extreme circumstances we are all in and childcare facilities have an extra hard job having to Navigate this and keep kids and teachers safe and keep paying the wonderful staff. Personally I think Primrose communication around COVID has been beyond excellent. They are mandated to close in specific situations and always communicate thoroughly, quickly and frequently. I want my kids' school to thrive so yes I want to support them financially. And for that reviewer who said 'where's the proof' - that is called HIPPA or patient privacy. You don't get to see other peoples' medical records. I certainly don't think a preschool is going to lie about that. If you're that worried, pull your kid out. Primrose is WONDERFUL. On multiple occasions management has made the choice to close down for weeks with little to no warning to parents and demand parents continue making payments despite not being open. on one occasion they sent out a mass email 8pm on a Sunday stating that a temporary staff member tested positive and that they would be closed for the next 2 weeks. They provided no proof of positive testing or exposure to any students. on another occ they sent out a mass email in the middle of the day in the middle of a work week and demanded all parents pick up their children within the hour because a person had tested positive. Again they would be closed for 2 weeks and we would be forced to continue paying, again with no proof of exposure. today on the 3rd occasion they once again sent out a mass email, this time at 6pm on a Friday informing parents that again supposedly someone tested positive and they will once again be closed for 2 weeks and we would still be required to pay for services not provided. Again without providing any proof of positive tests results, or proof of exposure.

I have nothing but good things to say from the front desk with Karen, to the kitchen with Ms. Corry, to the teachers and janitorial staff. Everyone at Primrose cared about my son and no matter what trouble he got into, I was met with care and support from the staff. My son has had plenty of challenges, but Primrose always did their best to accommodate. Speech and Occupational Therapists could come in. Dietary restrictions were respected and Ms. Corry accommodated whenever she could with alternative options so that I didn't have to make his lunch as much. When he needed firm direction, the teachers provided it. They even filled out forms to help get diagnoses. My son didn't get sick all of the time like he did at his first preschool which was amazing - the facility is well taken care of. The school hosts events throughout the year for the kids, has parades, a holiday night with Santa, charity fundraisers, dinner sent home at least once a year, parent breakfast at least once a year. A no tuition vacation week after a year. The price isn't the cheapest that you will find but its right in line with similar schools in the area that are not ranked as highly. After our child was born, we toured the facility with Karen. She only showed us the infant room at the front and did not offer to show us anything else--unusual compared to other daycares we visited. During the tour, she also made an offhand comment about not wanting to live in our neighborhood because too many of her students live there. I understand not wanting to mix work with your personal life, but it definitely gave off the vibe that she isn't a huge fan of kids. Back in her office, I saw the "waitlist," which was a disorganized Excel sheet with no formal tracking system. It makes sense why updates were so hard to get. Karen promised a follow-up the next day, but we never heard back... until 2 months later. Ultimately, we enrolled elsewhere due to the lack of communication. My thought was if the communication is this poor before enrollment, I can't expect it to make a 180 once our child is enrolled.
