Hallandale office- charged my insurance 54 for oral evaluation on dec 11- I went in for a cleaning…read more paying $100 cash and have a receipt to that effect. I specifically requested to pay cash because my dental insurance is limited. I had to pull teeth just to get Myhalia to provide me with a receipt. I received multiple unwanted calls to confirm the same appointment. I visited this office 7 times within a six month period, so I interacted with them extensively. Asking for a bill breakdown I was meet with resistance and attitude. Then to find out that my in insurance was charged for an evaluation I was not made aware of after I paid cash for my cleaning and was giving a receipt to that effect is very disturbing and disappointing. I do not know what's going over there but buyer beware!

I finally booked appointment and am so thankful you guys moved into the neighborhood because I found my dentist office forever. This office is immaculate clean. Isabel took X-rays and 3-D photos of my mouth. This is always my least favorite part of going to dentist. The way she used new sterilized equipment and took great care at not contaminating her gloves was very much appreciated. It's the first time I haven't gotten nauseous when getting X-rays. Dr Chloe was great! She definitely knows her practice. She is professional and explains findings on exam well, she gave me options to fix my issues and improve my dental health in the future. I trust her completely and in no way felt pressured like my past dentists. Chelsea did my cleaning. This was the easiest and least painful cleaning of my my many years on this earth. I'm a repeat customer. Scheduled my appointment for 4-5 months after my last cleaning and 3 months…read morean emergency fix early January. I was happy with the service at that point. At that point, I thought I confirmed the appointment twice. However, today when I arrived, the receptionist told me my appointment was cancelled my appointment without warning, quoting that I didn't respond to her by 3:42PM and as so she went ahead and cancelled it. No where in the prior messages did it say the appointment was at risk to be cancelled if I did not reply to the text message. Nor was this the case at the beginning of the year or during the last cleaning. I drove 20 minutes each way and took PTO attend. What's worse is when I tried to highlight the above point as constructive feedback, the representative did not want to read her messages and admit to the failure in communicating the risk of cancelling the appointment if I don't respond to the text message. I've had a least 100 doctor appointments over the last 5 years. I usually schedule them months if not a year in advance. Not a single doctor has ever canceled because I never responded to a text message. As I was trying to explain that there is no indication in her communications that there was a risk of cancellation until after she cancelled the appointment, the receptionist then continued to interrupt me continuously. I couldn't complete a full sentence without being interrupted. Not only the behavior of this individual was unprofessional and quite frankly, unacceptable, I'm more concerned about arbitrary policy that she referred to as started in 2026 where they will cancel appointments if you don't confirm. This shows that this was not an isolated incident, but rather a poorly communicated and executed policy that reflect poorly on the owners. When I asked to talk to the doctor/owner, I was told the doctor left for the day. This is concerning because had the appointment went ahead as planned, I would have to come back another day for the second half of the appointment. Outside of the obvious scheduling policy issue above, not having a doctor/dentist for an appointment defeats the purpose of the dental appointment altogether. At the end of the day, I'm not happy with the outcome here with this office. At the current moment, I don't know who I can't trust at this ultra smile brand. Is it the receptionist, the owner or the brand that I need to attribute this new found loss of trust. If you are a working professional, you may want to consider other professional options.

I hadn't been to a dentist in over 10 years, and I was honestly very afraid--but this team made me feel safe and cared for. They treat you like a person, not just a patient. I came into…read morea simple cap re-cement (which I had done several times with my dentist in NJ in minutes and at no cost) to the office trying to force me into an evaluation, extra unnecessary x-rays BEFORE the dentist even saw me. It is important to note that at the start of my visit they told me my visit was covered. However, when no X-rays were needed (they had done just a few months ago during my cleaning visit) then the office manager informed me they needed to charge me $100 but that they would submit the claim. Time passes and no claim was submitted. I had to call Delta Dental and they contacted dentist office. Today 9/16, I called the dentist because they did not even have the courtesy to inform me that the insurance claim was being processed or they received payment from insurance on 9/14. Lady on the phone, today 9/16, claimed that the original visit was an evaluation and she continually argue her point. I pointed out that the only reason for me making the appointment was to re-cement the cap. Nobody should switch the reason for my appt or switch costs on me in the middle of the appointment. Now I have to wait for the office manager to call me after an evaluation of how much money they should returned. Again, this was a 15 minute no charge visit with my old New Jersey Dentist. It is a shame that Smile4Life office can treat a patient who has been going to them in this manner. Truly a shame.

She fixed 2 cavities, and 3 chipped teeth that were bothering me cosmetically. All excellent work. Also, she is very good with the needle. In the past, needles were the worst part, but she is very good without causing any pain at all. I barely felt them go in. Only front top teeth with the hard gum line was a little painful, but that is to be expected. So if you are afraid of needles, don't be if you come here! She is also very personable and a joy to talk with. Answering all your questions, and genuinely seems she truly cares and enjoys her work. I returned 2 more times to finish the work and then also to get a cleaning. Her staff is very nice, warm, and friendly. From appointment, to xrays, to cleaning tech, to everyone I met. Overall, a great experience and I will return in a few weeks for my check up. Finally found a great dentist in South Beach!

Prior to making the appointment, Jinelle - not sure if she's an assistant - advised me that I had to change my insurance primary doctor's name to this office so that I can have an appointment there. I followed her instructions, but it was going to take one month to apply (mind you, I needed this appointment sooner than later as I was paranoid about something with my teeth. Finally, one month later I asked Jinelle to help me schedule an appointment where she then told me that they do not take my insurance AT ALL. This came as a shock to me because I would think she would've done me the courtesy to let me know this ONE MONTH PRIOR, during our first initial contact. Supposedly it took affect this month, but I'm sure they knew beforehand this would be the case and were ever so CARELESS to say anything. Unfortunately, I've learned there's not a lot of courtesy or empathy with patients or potential ones from doctors or nurses these days. Which is unfortunate because it's the one main career path that should have it! But I guess all of you are the same, no matter how many good reviews you have. it's a true SHAME. Now, I have to wait another month to change my primary dentist to another dentist before I can finally check my teeth. I didn't have to be assertive, I didn't have to ask, I didn't have to say anything about reviews.... they simply offered their services and tried to help me either way. I obviously wanted to find an alternative dentist that did take My insurance which is why I had to look elsewhere. Dr…read more Ilon is so kind and patient and really takes care to be sensitive and reassuring so I feel more comfortable, and can let go of my fears some. he's got a very gentle touch so you're not being manipulated how other aggressive dentists operate. He's got a very laid back manner though highly professional. if it wasn't for the fact that I hate metal in my mouth and the sounds of drills so much, he'd see me much more often! the customer service is excellent which is saying a lot in Miami much less on the beach. truly a gem in the heart of our beach city. and also, it's very reasonably price. you absolutely get your moneys worth. unless either one of us moves, I'll be seeing Dr. Ilon from here on out for my dental care, and the place is beautiful too!
