We pulled into a garage and they said that the garage for the library was next door. It was my bad for not paying attention to the sign because there is one but you have been warned! Not only is this one of the best libraries I have visited (referring to study space, staff friendliness) in the Orlando area, it is also extremely comfortable. There are tons of different, unique, and spacious chairs to use. There is a section on the 4th floor called "Tower Reading Area" this unique space is hidden and tucked away. And all are categorized by genre, and is kept exceptionally organized by the library staff So if you are looking for either a drama or musical, those categories are listed on the shelves. Not like you are going to find "Friday the 13th Part 385" in with the comedies. And this location has a good selection of foreign films. The Southeast Branch also offers computer labs, language labs, wifi, meetings rooms, classes, and other events. However, with the current COVID-19 pandemic, there may be some change in services provided. This branch is located in the Terracotta Business Park near the intersection of Semoran and Hoffner. There are Chinese statues of people and horses throughout the landscaped areas of the parking lots. Several retail and fast food establishments are in the plaza as well. The current hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. Closed on Sunday.

Coming from Miami, I've never had a librarian take so much time to talk to me about all of the perks you get as a library cardholder. I never knew how expansive the electronic system is for borrowing books, DVDs, streaming, etc. until I came into this library branch. I feel like local library systems are SO underutilized: I wish more people knew about the amount of resources they could access with a single library card- especially children. I appreciate the staff here and look forward to visiting this branch in the future.

Did I read all the books? No, but as a 7-year-old who hardly went out anywhere, that place was paradise. That's why the public library system is such a valuable asset; especially where children are involved. It keeps them out of trouble and in a place where they can actually learn something. Fast forward to many years later and my heart still skips a beat whenever I enter a Library. This Library in particular is small when compared to other libraries in central Florida, but it's also one of the newer ones so it's clean, well kept, and has a Lab room, but also a Technology room should you sign up for one of their courses. Which by the way is completely free. I try to take advantage of that when I can, just the other day I took a: "How to make a book charm class", and it was a delightful experience. I've seen that you can even learn how to program video games if you wish to go down that avenue, or if you wanted to, you could sign up to become familiar with various computer programs, even how to build a web-site, all free, why would you not take advantage of that? Other than books, you are able to check out DVD's and movies here as well. The staff is super friendly here, definitely will be back.

Initially, I went over to use the computer systems to print a few documents and to scan and email a few documents. It was easy to access the computers and get everything completed. There is a small quite study area tucked away in the back. I was able to easily connect to the internet and get a few things accomplished. On another visit, I returned with a group, and we used the meeting room up from. The group had to set up and put up the tables and chairs - it was easy to do and there was plenty of equipment for our needs. Overall, I like this little library. I'm glad that it is here.

Overall, a fun way to spend a couple of hours with your toddler!

I recently attended a series of workshops at this library location and was reminded of why I enjoyed coming here. The Alafaya Branch of the Orange County Library System is on East Colonial Drive (State Road 50)…read more just east of where East Colonial Drive intersects with Alafaya Trail and is overall a decent Library, though a lot smaller than their downtown location. It is good seeing that libraries are still a thing, especially since we have sp much available through our phones and the internet. I have so many great memories of libraries in my childhood and it was nice walking through this Library and remembering those carefree days. For a Tuesday afternoon, it had a decent amount of people here. All in all, a good library.
