I had been concerned about the pond getting too much sun and also wanted to add some protection from flying predators. While certainly not inexpensive, I feel the shade sail is worth every penny. They are great in the winter, to keep the rain away from the windows, and the house nice and cosy, and in the summer to keep the hot summer from shinining into the rooms. Makes a huge difference.
