I went in to buy a perimeter fence for a large expanse of area, and I was advised very well to the types of fence and the cost etc. I was also advised on how to deal with the City permit process to make it easy for myself. I went back after a few days to order the supplies for the choice I made - chain link fence - and the billing was so well done. Edward went out to their sample fence area with me and showed me each item on that bill so I knew what I was purchasing. He advised me on the design and some of the specs of my fence and made the process very smooth and easy. It was overall a very comfortable shopping experience. Thank you Edward.

Thanks to all the yelp and I found Contempo Custom Upholstery. Also thanks to all the wonderful…read morereviews that helped me to pick Contempo Custom Upholstery to redo the dining table chairs. It took me two years to decide to fix the old worn out dining table chairs. I was debating whether I should get a new set of chairs that can match the dining tables or simply just get a new dining table and chairs. I know that will cost me a lot of money. So, I gave up those ideas. Finally after much research, I found Contempo and I am glad I made the right decision! The owner, Derek is friendly and helpful. I sent him emails for several time and he responded back in a day or two. Very easy to work with. When I took my chair in, he helped us to make the decision easily by showing us what will look good. The price is reasonable. It took them about 2-3 weeks to get the fabric. Then they came to my house to pick up the rest of the chairs, it only took them less than 2 days to finish it. They even delivered it back to my home. My mother in law is extremely happy of how the dining chairs look now. Attached are the pictures of the old one with worn fabric and the cushion has collapsed. The new one now with similar fabric, all brand new and with very firm cushion! Thank you for the great work! Will definitely recommend to my other friends and families.

Do not go to Contempo Upholstery!…read more They use poor quality materials that do not last very long. We did not get a proper invoice from them with a warranty statement from them - which makes getting compensation later impossible. When we contacted them later, we were told the family business was sold and was under new management by another relative, so they would not honor any problem with past projects. The owner refused to negotiate a reasonable settlement stonewalling all our requests and refusing to talk with us. We asked the Better Business Bureau to mediate, but he refused to discuss the matter further. Beware!!

Lam Welding is the Bay Area's best gate designers/builders/installers. They are a family run…read morebusiness that is able to get the job done right. Working with Darin from the quotation stage to the installation stage, the communication and timeliness of the project went smoothly from start to finish. Darin is a next level master gate builder--he puts in the extra effort to ensure the customer is happy. I wanted a design and installation of 2 modern looking commercial gates with an automatic gate opener that could schedule to open and close the gates at specified times. I knew exactly what I wanted and sent Darin some sample gate photos I found online, and he was able to extrapolate from the photos to sketch up a full design. The quoting experience with Darin was much better than 2 other commercial gate installers I had contacted. (Not shown on Yelp or Lam Welding's website, they have an extensive album of sample photos from completed client projects stored on a tablet. The projects are more modern looking, and you can request to view this to get ideas.) Darin first met me at the location and did his measurements, then mocked up the design, and lastly confirmed everything by visiting the site again with our electrician to ensure everyone was on the same page. There were some challenges because the gate location was located on a slope. Darin was able to problem solve, select the gate motors, provide guidance to the electrical installer and also recommend we purchase fire switches to meet the local fire department's requirements. The fabrication of the gate was expertly welded together. Same with the powder coating. The installation of the gate motors was done smoothly, and everything was connected and worked immediately. Darin, Uncle, and Father worked so hard to getting everything installed. Everything just worked. This was the best project experience I've had this year, and I absolutely loved the end result with a perfect look and quality feel to the gates. Thank you Darin and family. I highly recommend Lam Welding to getting a gate designed and installed. They are the best in business.
