So I was hesitant to try this therapy out. I have a very old knee injury to my left knee. It has been twice the size of my right knee for 24 years. My sports injury doctor really was at a loss, so he sent me to see Melanie and told me she was fabulous. I trust this man, so I called and made an appointment. I came for my first appointment and Melanie made me feel very comfortable and at ease with everything. She explained what she was going to do and doing every step of the way. I stared at the ceiling because I didn't want to watch the needles going in. I didn't even feel the first couple and barely felt the 3rd, after that it was very easy. After my first session I was very relaxed, so relaxed that I wanted to take a nap. I never nap. She explained to me that since this injury was so old, it was going to take a while and several sessions to see a difference. What I noticed after the first session was an immediate lessening of pain. What I noticed after a few sessions was that my swelling had started to go down. It's amazing, I can actually wear high heels again, and I have not been able to in a long long time. On one of my sessions I came in and my neck was painful, so I laid face down and had my neck worked on too, that was awesome.
