I went here because I have low back and hip injury. He is the only one who is available to see me right away, and I needed relief for my pain (couldn't stand up by myself for two weeks). It was my first time getting acupuncture so I was a little nervous, but I really needed relief from my back pain so I gathered courage to get it. He used needles and e-stim/TENS on the needles. After maybe 25 minutes of needle+TENS, he would do cupping then massage on the injured area. I only had maybe 3 visits with him, but it relieved my pain. I paid out of pocket. I have been to three sessions so far and it is why I have taken the liberty to write the review and highly recommend Anh. He is very knowledgeable and will go out of his way to really try to help you with your problem. He doesn't push any sells on you or even suggest anything unless you ask!! I have had accupuncture in the past and despite needles being stuck on me I cannot move because with each movement the needles cause great amount of pain and discomfort, but I always manage to dose off and semi take a nap under his treatment. This is my second time coming here together with my Dad who has never done any acupuncture before in his life (Me? I am a fan!). He has many sports injuries under his belt from back in his prime (athleticism) time. Anyways, his kneecaps cartilage have severely deteriorated with the time, causing him acute pain throughout the day. Well, after every session with Dr. Trang, my dad has told me that the pain goes away something that he only feels when getting his anabolic injections twice a year and he says that he feels a lot better with the acupuncture. I decided to try acupuncture in absolute desperation about 3 weeks ago because I'd been experiencing physically and emotionally debilitating symptoms since the beginning of 2018. Nothing else I tried worked and I had just about given up hope. My MD could find nothing wrong with me, but I was clearly in rough shape. BTW, I'm 72, and have a fairly depleted system. From the first treatment it was obvious that Anh was extremely proficient and I felt immediately comfortable in his calming presence. I was impressed with his pleasant office, as well. He discovered that my digestion was so weak that my efforts to eat healthy foods and take good supplements were all in vain. My system just couldn't absorb and assimilate them. This had been going on for years, and finally began to take a serious toll. I've had 7 treatments so far, and things are beginning to improve. My appetite has returned, I've been able to put back a little lost weight (I'm too thin, generally), and I'm beginning to feel stronger. I was told it could take about a month to get me back on track, due to my level of depletion, but at least I now have hope that I can still heal. I brought my dad Saigon Acupuncture out of desperation. My dad has been complaining of excruciating pain starting from the hip radiating to the knee for the past four months. It was so painful that he would make me take him to the ER. I took him to pain specialist, had him do therapy, went to orthopedic surgeon. Doctors had him an all sorts of pain meds from cream, gel and patch to narcotics and nothing helped. When he's on pain meds the pain is bearable but then the med wears off he could barely walk. They had recommended epidural and steroid shots or last resort surgery. As a pharmacist myself, I have experienced first hand and have a deeper understanding for my patients and how they become so dependent of these narcotics. I'm a firm believer of western medicine but sometimes there are things we can't explain and a good example is my dad. After a few sessions with Anh and taking the herbs Anh has given, he's able to straighten his leg which he was not able to do in months. He has been seeing Anh a few times a week for a month now and his pain has subsided, he told me he's 80% better. He's not taking narcotics pain meds anymore.
