GREAT, professional, and skilled. I was afraid of needles. His bedside manner comforted me through each step. There was no discomfort, now I take treatment each week, and witness progress effecting a better lifestyle. Thank you so much! read more

This place recently opened, perfect timing since I was having some neck and shoulder pain. Parking: There are a couple parking right in the front so it's fairly convenient and you don't have to stress about parking The office is very spacious and smells so freaking good! Right when you walk in, you automatically feel relax. There are 5 rooms and each room is based off of elements! Which is neat since you have three option to select the room you prefer. 1. Earth (yellow room with rocks and flowers) 2. Water (blue with waves and other decor to go with the vibe) 3. Fire (red room with nice paintings) 4. Metal (grey with stones) 5. Wood (green with forest decor) Dr.G was very attentive and informational when it comes to what he is using. He lets you know how he plans on fixing the pain right after you discuss it. I barely felt the needle once it poked my neck. The suction cups were so relaxing, I almost feel asleep! After, he uses electric to loosen the muscle so there is less tension there. At the end he tops it off with a massage and that was like the cherry on the top! I believe with Dr.G's expertise, my neck pain will be cured in no time! Pricing info: I did purchased the pinnacle tier which gives you 6 session and it includes micro needling. YES! You read it correct, not only can you fix your body pain but you can fix your skin too! There is a promo deal right now where the first 10 ppl can get $100 off which is such a steal for the whole bundle. The rest of the membership is great too and the price is reasonable. They do accept insurance! I also came in for a micro needling session as well and it was very relaxing. The needles did not felt invasive and you barely feel them on your face. Dr.G used the best quality products such as apple skin cells and etc. I came in to target my acne scars and two weeks later they seem to be lighter! Best part....there is a snack bar in the back where you can help yourself! Therefore, you come to fix your pain, feel relax and get a snack! 10/10 recommend! read more

Writing about two separate experiences and appointments. The first time I came was in December. I scheduled my appointment online with their website. Parking is a little tricky but there are designated spots in front of the building for you. Love how clean and open the place is. A lot of space. There was a friendly gentleman that helped checked me in prior to my appointment. Filled out some paperwork and was ready to see Dr. Gary. He has different rooms with different colors to suit your mood. I went with blue because it was available and wanting to have a calm and relaxing atmosphere because it was my first time getting cupping done. Prior to start, Dr. Gary asks what I'm going through and my problem areas that he can target. I went for a shoulder problem because I was making tamales all day and night in one go with my friends. I guess the same repetitive motion really put my shoulder out. I was really nervous with the cupping but didn't know what to expect but he explained everything he was doing step by step so that it eased my anxiety. The sensation was really interesting but didn't feel any pain. Just more of a sucking sensation on the skin with a little pull. He did point on some cream/ointment that helped with the treatment. Felt like an icy hot sensation which I like. Reminds me of tiger balm almost or bengay for them aches and pains. He also used a heat lamp in some parts of the session. Afterwards I was given after care instructions, hydrate, and a supplement to help with my shoulder pain. I felt sore for a couple of days. But afterwards I really felt a difference and my shoulder was back to itself again. I loved my experience and was scared of cupping for no reason. Yes you get a little ring of bruising that looks like a temporary tattoo but it'll fade away with time. ------ Went back again for a different issue and treatment. I scheduled an appointment again through the website and it is with great ease. I wanted to try acupuncture but was very anxious. I've only done acupuncture one time as a guinea pig for my friend that was going to school to study Eastern Medicine and it was only in my hand and I can see it so it wasn't so scary. I wanted to come here because I had a great experience with Dr. Gary with my cupping and wanted to give him a chance. I have an ankle sprain where it was not getting better and has been taking awhile to heal with physical therapy. I wanted to try this because I had a friend that recommended it with a combination of physical therapy to heal. So I figured why not. (I did mention this to Dr. Gary last visit about my ankle sprain and he asked if I wanted to try acupuncture but I wasn't mentally ready and said I would think about it. But this time I was more mentally ready but still some parts anxious because I have a fear of needles). Again came, and was greeted by the same gentleman as last time in the front and he helped me check in and select a room for my treatment. Got the green room this time and it was pretty and calming. Dr. Gary asked how I was doing and what I came in for. I told him about my ankle and my situation and he took a look at it and saw that it was swollen compared to my other ankle (not affected side). He asked a series of questions to figure out where my pain is. Before I knew it, he was already placing the needles. I barely felt them. Maybe because I was distracted and was chatting with him. But shoo that works wonders! He attached a thing to clip onto the needle to push in electrical current. It felt funny, almost like someone is poking you but not painful at all. He would adjust the strength and let it sit for 6 mins intervals with some adjustments in between. After the treatment he rubbed on something soothing to my skin. And away I went. My ankle felt lighter and not as much pain like before. I bought the package deal and will be coming again to tackle this issue. Thank you Dr. Gary for your kindness. I felt comfortable and really taken care of each time I visit. read more

Quite frankly (and I didn't mind telling Dr Tran) I had always considered acupuncture something for crackpots. After my first appointment, I wondered if there was something to acupuncture. After a month of treatments, I know I cannot live without acupuncture. I am not pain free, but I am now able to get through a day with some life left in me when I get home. I can walk further and do more. I sleep better and take fewer pain pills. Dr Tran is one of the kindest healthcare providers I have ever encountered in my life. He is more than happy to discuss all aspects of acupuncture and how it works, and his transparency makes me feel very safe and I am sure I am in good hands. He stocks wonderful Chinese herbs and recommended formulas that have made me feel better. When a ruptured disk in my back flared up, he knew exactly what to do to calm it down. He also diagnosed De Quervain's tenosynovitis (which the doctors at Kaiser had been calling bone spurs) and he told me exactly what to do to help the severe pain at the base of my thumbs. Kaiser never had me do the Finkelstein test but Dr Tran did the test and found the problem. Ten years with modern medicine left me wincing with pain and ten minutes with Dr Tran identified what was really wrong. My hands feel really good now thanks to him. The last thing is that the office is very beautiful. Dr Tran decorated it himself and he has excellent taste. The treatment rooms are well appointed, with different themes (I like Water best) and just walking into the place is a calming experience. The prices are so reasonable too, and there are bundles on a monthly basis to fit every budget and need. I cannot recommend Dr Tran highly enough. read more

I've been looking for a place that offers microneedling to help with my dark/sun spots and San Diego is sooo expensive. I've been given quotes for around $400+ PER session. So when I saw that the pinnacle tier membership was $250 for 6 acupuncture/cupping/massage sessions AND 1 microneedling session, I signed up right away!!! I've only had 2 sessions so far but I can already see the difference. Dr. Gary was very thorough with the consultation and what to expect. During the session he explained step by step of what he was doing and why he was doing it. Pain is subjective, but I would say 6/10 for cheeks and 8/10 for forehead and temples. But beauty is pain!! Dr. Gary let me know ahead of time that certain areas would hurt more so I can brace myself which I highly appreciated. read more

Pinnacle Acupuncture - Acupuncture Near Me - San Diego, California

I've never had acupuncture before, but I do monthly chiropractic adjustments to address some neck and shoulder tension due to working a desk job. I had heard that acupuncture was really relaxing so I tried it out here. And let me tell you- relaxing doesn't even begin to describe it. Dr. Gary is super friendly and kind. He talked me through the process and would explain what he was doing and the reasoning. The needles didn't hurt at all, he was very gentle, and I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep from my first session (despite being a little freaked out about having needles in me). I ended up getting a membership here because I was also very interested in getting micro-needling. I'm very into skincare and have had my face lasered previously (although that was pretty expensive). My first session went really well and I could see my face improve 2 days after! My skin was glowing and I could see improvement in my skin texture. I have some dark spots that will probably need a few more sessions, but overall I'm very pleased with the results. read more

This place deserves 5 stars because of consistently great experiences during acupuncture sessions. The doctor is skilled and always explains the benefits of acupuncture in detail. After years of suffering from migraines, this is the only place that has provided relief. The treatment here is superior to other places, and the overall care and attention are top-notch. Highly recommended! -Mary Jane read more

Dr Gary is amazing! They have great prices and also take insurance. It's by far the best office I've ever been to for a massage or acupuncture. The rooms are rooms (not curtains) and they even have a snack section!! read more
