    Today's suggestion from Leia!
    Bob K.

Not just comics or queer comics, but plenty of manga, novels, and even political books. We love stopping in here, and Leia was incredibly gracious to be the FIRST store owner to carry The Wife's novel, Like It Or Not. And invited her to do a live reading! Leia knows her customers and their reading preferences, and has a wealth of suggestions for everyone. She respects her customers, and clearly indicates material intended for more mature readers. Support anachronistic (printed) media, and the local stores that sell them! Go to Sour Cherry, get your books and comics, pick up a squishmallow, and make a new friend!

Welcome to my Cute Comics shop with great vibes, a part-time doggie, and a number of curated titles in the comic/graphic novel/fiction/nonfiction realm. Shopgal/owner Leia is more than happy to special order any books or get updates on your favorite stories from DC, Marvel, Image, AWA, Vault, BOOM! etc. Be sure to stop by on Free Comic Book Day, May 7 for the first ever SOUR CHERRY CON! Raffle tickets for awesome prizes are on sale now - both online and in store! May 8th will be an artist alley from 1-6pm featuring local queer artists. Come by and visit some time!

I have been following Sour Cherry Comics since it was a pop up. We Stan a woman-owned artist business! Love the energy, love the vibe. There is something for everyone including a bunch of children's lit, graphic novels and manga, a smattering of fiction and memoir, and a small gallery space in the back. Sour Cherry Comics is conveniently located on Guerrero and 16th and they also host events! Looking forward to their poetry reading and writing club. Today I bought a Pokémon Puzzle book for my nephew.

at first, i was a bit confused since i mistook this store for a walk-in shop and didn't know about…read morethe pickup deal. i didn't have an exact product in mind, but i settled on pokemon cards before the person in front of me was done. the man (or possibly owner?) was really helpful and engaged a lot with customers to make sure he knew what they wanted or what they were inquiring. im just a hobbyist card collector, so i didn't know what specific series of cards i was looking for, and he just suggested the cheapest ones, which were what i was going for. initially i was nervous and didn't know if there was a pack limit, but he clarified its just so people don't buy out the entire stock (which is very good for business, since it happens all too often at retail spaces!) even if you don't have an order or know the exact product to the precise detail you want, staff is very helpful in giving you options :) a nice place that id stop by every week if i were local!!

Where do I even start? Husband and I were trying to get…read moresome cards. Never heard of this store so we decided to check it out. It's online order only and you can't go inside. The employee seemed offended that we didn't know the process and told us they did pickup only. Not once did he inform us on the actual website. Secondly the employee from the back came out to "answer" our questions, which he also was offended we were inquiring about a set that came out 6 weeks ago. He informed us we were "6 weeks late". He then proceeded to tell us incorrect information about the sets. Which feels was done on purpose. Pricing? These are scalpers, unauthorized resellers. These are the kind of people that weigh/scan packs and open all the hits. They were showing us set boxes with the shrink wrap missing, but were selling it to us at scalper pricing. (Meaning they weren't doing that thing were target rips open the shrink wrap so only collectors buy)

Finding a bookstore in San Francisco can be a challenge depending which side of city you are and…read morewhat you are looking for as far as subject matter. There are various bookstores which face the street sidewalks of San Francisco and are easy to enter and exit. There is a bookstore in San Francisco which is hidden from the public side walk and accessible through a mall on the second floor. It's located inside the Japan Center in Japantown and it's called Kinokuyina. On a Spring stroll inside Japan Center I landed inside Kinokuyina. In the land of the rising sun Kinokuyina is a bookstore was founded in 1927 in Japan and turns 100 years next year. This San Francisco location is the first in the USA which opened since 1969. They have other locations such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore,Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Inside you will find lots of books in Japanese Kanji and English Manga. They also sell lots of novelties and t-shirts. This a great international bookstore in San Francisco. It's almost Summer say bye to the month of "May" they have a location in San Francisco another down the road by San Tomas Expressway in "San Jose "they have lots books of "display" from manga to "anime" Come visit they have books for any age "group "you can find magazines with the latest "scoop"so you can stay in the "loop" and you can even find a book like some in SF about "poop"

Did you know they have six stores in California and four in Texas alone? I'll gladly reconfigure my thoughts about Texans, that they that can support the existence of four Kinokuniya bookstores. Respectfully. I enjoy browsing the SF store, especially the travel section, cookbooks, and unique magazines. They have all the requisite kawaii stuff including Miffy, Moomin, Studio Ghibli, and Sonny Angels. Having Google Translate at the ready in camera mode, makes exploring some of the Japanese titles even more fun. A unique, immersive bookstore experience.
