My only reason for 4 stars is because the Pistola jeans I purchased would have been $188 if I bought directly from the site...they were $208 at Novelle Eve. I love supporting a local business, especially a staple like this so I will be back, but might double check some of the price points before hitting the register :-)

I am an African American female in my late 20's. I entered the store and despite being the only person besides the worker in the store I was not greeted. The store was silent, with no music on and the worker didn't once come up to me to ask if I needed any help. However, when a white customer walked in the door she was promptly greeted with a hello and asked if she needed any help. I had found an item I wanted to try on and the worker saw me carrying this item and never asked if I wanted to try it on. I then was forced to try to coat on without a fitting room. AFTER fully trying it on and taking it off, the worker comes up and asks me if I want to try it on. I then told her that was no longer necessary. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. I am not a person to assume my maltreatment is due to race, however the fact that a white customer received immediate treatment does raise suspicion. I would recommend this store address implicit bias as to their customers.

I have to admit that the prices here are out of my normal range for jackets, mittens, etc. I don't think they are probably overpriced, it's just that things of these materials and quality are expensive. I came here to get some sheepskin slippers. At $119 they are among the lowest-priced items here. Still - to me, they are worth it. I know they will last a long time and are soooo cozy and comfortable. Slippers from other places might cost half as much, but these slippers are way more than twice as nice. The online selection is broader than the in-store stock. The slippers are available in other colors on the website but only the natural color is in the store. I admit, when I got these slippers home, there was a seam in the right slipper that rubbed against my little toe. So I did go back to exchange them and the staff were fantastic about making this exchange super easy, and they made sure the new slippers didn't have that defect. They encouraged me to bring these ones back if I was less than 100% satisfied. I am wearing them now and I can verify I am 100% satisfied.

Fun accessories, jewelry, etc in a mix of vintage and modern. It's in a vintage building as well, in the Old Market, so it feels just right. I went in recently to buy a wallet, and I got a wallet! I was tempted to buy a vintage-style (but don't worry! It's new) tin of that lip balm, the kind we used to have in the early 80s, it smelled so great but would get pocket lint in it. Now I'm tempted to buy one and not carry it in my pocket. Anyway...back to the review. The staff member who helped me with the wallet was really nice and thoughtful, and offered to cut off the tag if I wanted to use it immediately (I did). I hope they are working there today if I go buy that lip gloss!

Heck I didn't realize there were KC, Chicago, or Lincoln NE locations either...! My daughter is named Olivia, but goes by Liv so these two Olivia Mauch shirts were fun to see in there! Olivia Mauch is a standout with the Nebraska volleyball team! Since switching to the Big 10... The football program... Well... Let's just say... It hasn't been as successful as it was in the Big 12... Being a lifelong Iowa State Cyclone fan it doesn't hurt my feeling much to see the University of Nebraska Lincoln to now be known as a volleyball school. Lol It's also proof that someone who "might" lean a little Right can still find something worth buying at Raygun... Still support an Iowa headquartered company... And doesn't take life so seriously that they are offended by things they read that they don't necessarily agree with... I won't hold my breath for a "just right of center" collection though. Lol
