This big shop has been a fixture of Omaha's Old Market for many years. It's a beautiful space filled with amazing leather and fur products. I have to admit that the prices here are out of my normal range for jackets, mittens, etc. I don't think they are probably overpriced, it's just that things of these materials and quality are expensive. I came here to get some sheepskin slippers. At $119 they are among the lowest-priced items here. Still - to me, they are worth it. I know they will last a long time and are soooo cozy and comfortable. Slippers from other places might cost half as much, but these slippers are way more than twice as nice. The online selection is broader than the in-store stock. The slippers are available in other colors on the website but only the natural color is in the store. I admit, when I got these slippers home, there was a seam in the right slipper that rubbed against my little toe. So I did go back to exchange them and the staff were fantastic about making this exchange super easy, and they made sure the new slippers didn't have that defect. In a super cute part of Downtown Omaha. Really close to our hotel. Their products have immaculate textures. We especially love their head warmers. They were the most luxurious and softest material I have ever touched. The goods are pricey but I loved seeing their wide selection, craftsmanship, and textures. read more

I came to Omaha from California to watch a concert at the Holland Performance Arts center. Unfortunately I had not counted on it being 28degrees when I arrived. Desperately, I looked for a place where to buy warmer clothes, however it seemed that there are no clothing stores close to downtown area (since I did not have a car I had to make due with what I found in the Old Market). So I found this place as pretty much all there was to buy warm shoes and jackets. Large selection of coats and stuffs however most seem to be very outdated and mostly overpriced pieces ($55 for a pair of cloth gloves with a small strip of leather on them seem a bit excessive to me). Some of their shoes are handcrafted, however they appear to be of very low quality stitching. The girl that helped us was a delight, very prompt and friendly. Now, on with my personal experience! A big minus from this place was a guy (I don't know if it was the manager or the owner) but kept going where we were, not so subtly to check 'what we were doing' casing us to see if we were 'just shopping'. He would move right behind us and peer from behind the boxes at us. It's true, I'm Hispanic but this was just way too much, it just couldn't have been coincidence. Right when we were going to pay he insisted to the clerk that she get my name "For billing purposes of course", and seemed really surprised when I handed him my credit card (as if I wouldn't have one). I bought the shoes because I really needed them, the weather was colder than what I had packed for my trip and apparently there are no freaking malls close to downtown Omaha. I would have left if I knew there were any clothing stores close to where I was in a heart beat! Seriously, for a $159.00 pair of shoes it was totally not worth the harassment. read more

This store is awesome my husband lost his favorite hat that we bought from here when we were in Omaha Nebraska 2 yrs ago. This was his favorite hat so I as a last effort to find one I called and the young man said if I texted him a picture he might be able to help. Well as it turned out he knew which hat it was and was able to have one shipped to us. That is a great example of customer service, next time we are in Omaha I will be sure to shop here again. I've never had worse service in my life. I went in shopping for my mother in law and the employee at the desk was incredibly rude from the start. She looked at me like I didn't belong in the store and when I asked for assistance it was like I was inconveniencing her. When I thanked her helping me she said nothing and walked away. I walked around the store to see what else there was since it was my first time, and everytime I looked up there she was staring at me like I was going to steal something. When I finsihed my shopping I went to the counter to pay and as I walked up she walked away to answer a phone call (there were two women at the desk). She finsished up then came to check me out, she asked if I needed gift boxes I said yes please and she just tossed them into the bag. As she finished up she through the pen onto the desk and said "you need to sign it", and that was that after she put it into the register she walked away. Not sure if it was because I was younge or the fact that I was latina, because they're other people in the store that were not treated the way I was. There is no escuse to treat any customer like this. I work at a hotel downtown and use to send many guest there, after this though not anymore. Wouldn't recommend to anyone that doesnt fit their image. read more
