Zeb was amazing! Prior to the wedding he was always available for questions and to make sure we had everything set and ready for the big day. It made for a stress free celebration. We actually added some extra speaker set ups, that we had not planned for, only a couple days before the wedding and he was able to accommodate without any issues. Zeb was amazing. He did a great job DJing - we gave him barely any guidelines for the reception, but he still played exactly what we wanted. We hired Zeb Early of Sounds Elevated to provide all sound and music for our wedding (ceremony mics, music, speeches mics, then the reception band). We have been told by all of our friends and family that Zeb and his group were the best wedding dj/band they had ever seen. Zeb had every single person out on the dance floor the entire night! We kept them playing overtime because the crowd was loving it so much and were dancing until 1:15AM. We loved how Zeb remixed all of our favorite songs and had the Saxophone player and guitars out on the dance floor! We wanted to work with a DJ that got our style, brought some funky and fresh beats, and was great to work with - Zeb was all three! We hired Zeb to DJ at a fundraising event for families with small children (ages roughly 3-12) and he was terrific. He played a great selection of danceable music that was kid appropriate, but wasn't specifically kid music, so adults could dance and enjoy it as well! He was exceptionally easy to work with. I am a vocalist from New Orleans. I came to Berkeley to play a house concert with a trio of double bass, guitar and trumpet...as most of us know, there is NO show without a good sound man and quality of sound is of the UTMOST importance; to me even more so since my vocal cord surgery in 2009 and six year struggle to get my chops back. Zeb single-handedly made our wedding the incredible party we had imagined. First, he happily made the trip to Elk, CA (3 hours north of SF) for the big day without complaint. The ceremony music (from what I remember...I was in a bit of an emotional fog throughout) was exactly as we'd imagined, and Zeb was even willing to help our catering staff schlep chairs back down from the bluff where it occurred to the reception barn. As for reception music, it was just perfect. He did an amazing job reading the crowd and keeping the energy up and bodies moving until the wee hours of the morning! So many of our friends told us how much they enjoyed his music. Our vision was to have an epic dance party, and that vision was wholly achieved! Zeb also played for soooooo long (ceremony started at 4:30pm, reception ended at 12midnight), for which my husband and I were so grateful. We didn't get to really start enjoying ourselves on the dance floor until after 10 (turns out schmoozing at a wedding is a really time consuming thing!) and we were glad to have plenty of time to dance with our friends. Zeb is also just a super nice guy. He spent time on the phone getting to know us beforehand, was easy to communicate with via email, incorporated all of our requests for various chapters of the evening, and was fun to have there the night-of. A couple of years ago I had the best time cutting a rug to the jams that Zeb played at a wedding I attended. When it was time for us to get married, we knew that we wanted to have Zeb be the one playing the music on our big day. We hired Zeb to do all our music for our backyard wedding in Stinson Beach. I was planning from Sweden so it made everything a bit more difficult but Zeb was so great and easygoing. I had the opportunity to work with Zeb on the wedding of a lifetime in May, and he KILLED it! There were multiple days and parts to this celebration, and he read the crowd perfectly.
