I stopped by this week for an estimate on window tinting and the price ($175) seemed ok, neither too high nor too low. I was told that they did not give out appointments; that it was first-come, first-served. Ok I can deal with that. I called on Friday afternoon to see how their work flow was running for that afternoon and they said they could not take my car until probably Wednesday. I told them I understood it was first-come, first-served and the woman said it is but they have that many cars waiting. So that many people are going without their cars for up to 5 days to get their windows tinted? Sounds like appointments to me. Something fishy going on here... Needless to say they don't need my business if they are that busy and I don't need to wait a week to get a simple tint job. read more

In 2008 I bought a head unit, amp, and subwoofer, in all it was around $2000. Not even a full year later my GPS said it needed to be updated and because of the "old version" everything was bigger than the actual screen which caused my GPS from working all together because the button on the screen to start the GPS was no longer visible because of the calibration issue. I came into the shop and the guy at the counter told me it was a simple fix and that they would remove my head unit and send it to alpine to get it recalibrated and it wouldn't cost a thing besides a few days wait. At the time I was really busy and ask the guy if I can bring it in later. He said that wasn't a problem. I then ask him what is the time limit on me bringing it in, he said since its not a mechanical problem and it is alpine's problem that there is no limit on the time I have to recalibrate it. Being a meticulous guy that I am, I asked him if I bring it in 1-2 years later would they still do it without charing me. He emphatically answered "yes" and said that all Alpine do is recalibrate the screen and it does't cost them anything and the only cost would be the shipping which he said they would gladly handle the shipping cost for me because I bought and had my system installed there. Cut to today, August 2015. I accidentally erased my bluetooth on my phone and the only way to set it back up is through my GPS menu and since I can't get into my GPS menus i was outta luck. So I decided to head over to SoundTech to see what they can do. When I got there the lady behind the counter asked me how can she help. I told her I had a long story so bare with me and she rolled her eyes and started to half-ass listen. Before I can finish my story she ask me for my name so she can check her system. Once she checked the system she told me that it would cost $130 for alpine to fix the head unit and that she was going to charge me to remove the head unit because in her worlds "it's over six years ago" I explained to her what I was told before and she keep repeating that it's been a long time so therefore their going to charge me. So being a meticulous person that I am, I made sure to tell her that I was promised something different and i ask her if she can help me out. She told me that I had to pay so I kindly thanked her and told her I'll get it fixed at a different shop because I don't patronize businesses that don't deserve my money. Long story short, I would not recommend this place to anybody for the simple fact that they did not live up to their word and also, that lady's customer service was horrible, she did not care whatsoever about my problem all she wanted was money out of me. Also their work isn't great either, if you have ever had any work done there you would know that their workmanship is subpar. save yourself some future headaches and find a different shop because with this shop once you pay and are out the door they don't put enough effort into their customer service to keep you wanting to come back. read more

I once thought this place was good.Only to find out after being there customer a few times. The owner Greg Kim, was being very dishonest. When I found the errors that were made by them. I addressed the issues in person. I provided receipts, of the work that was done. His excuse was that he didn't own the business in 2008. It gets better as I asked, what are you going to do about my problem? His answer was I'm going to have to charge you for the labor. First my crossover's were thrown in the front carpet jacket. Then one of my JL Audio tweeters weren't even hooked up. One side was glued in unknown to me. I this as I took it to another shop. The issues were addressed. I would have never known had I not taken my speakers out. Greg, has terrible communication skills. Consumer beware. I'm not done with this issue. read more

I went in to get my windows tinted with a brand of tint called "HP" in 2007 for $200. 4-5 years later bubbles began forming in the back window and it looked pretty bad. I went back to get the warranty service on the back window, but they told me that they don't carry HP tint anymore or that the company went out of business b/c that tint was low quality, so they won't replace my rear window tint under warranty. So beware of them using low-quality tint that won't even be covered in the future under their warranty. I am now going elsewhere to re-tint my windows to get rid of the bubbles. read more

Sound Tech is our "go to" spot anytime we need window tinting on our vehicles. In fact, we've used them to tint the last 5 cars we've owned. I'm always very pleased with the quality and service. A lot of people say the lady at the front is rude, but I strongly disagree. Every time I've been in there she's always been polite and helpful. They don't take appointments, and maybe this is what frustrates people, but it seems family owned and I'd rather support local businesses instead of larger chain locations for this service. Had a great experience here yesterday. My stereo was stolen and they cut all of the wiring when they took the unit, so in addition to no stereo I had no interior lights. These guys quoted a very reasonable price to install the new unit I brought with me and were done in about an hour, even with all the rewiring. As family owned from my understanding could of been more greetful when potential customers walks into your business. Called and was told it was 1st come 1st basis, so made treck 30 mins early from opening time. Pulled up from the driveway and already saw a car being worked on. No biggy but already felt discouraged but im already there and 1st physical customer there. So started to ask questions and asked whats turn around time, " By end of business day ' was already there and might as well get it done and get picked up. Was called an hour b4 closing time, got there and inspected and must say a very clean job. Everything is the same as i left the car to get my Radar Detector hard wired other than the Rj11 is dangling down from rear view mirror which is the reason for the hardwire. Overall for this place dont expect too much from pulling up and pulling out from the driveway from an hours work on your stereo or etc there will be cars left from previous day(s). As i left the place i only saw 1 tech that explained how the work was done, which was a bonus for any customer. Overall experience the asian lady working the front, should be more friendly and know how to welcome customer(s) and as for technicians, should be more than expected not just 1. If business is tight totally understand but if greed is in the mix, not the way to go. Having more techs will get more sales by the end of the day. All in all i recommend this place if you want a professional clean job but if your in a time frame to get it done, this place is not for you. read more

The cost and work are excellent. The workers are friendly too. I just went to this store to fix my car's Viper Alarm System. I actually only needed to get a new remote control. But they discovered a switch in my car was cracked and fixed it for cheap price. There are many stores that do not work in the way they should. But I will give this store an A !! im been getting my tint and car audio since the first owner steve kim ran it. Now his brother runs it and the service and quality is still great, no need to worry about getting haggled. The asian lady that works there is so rude to customers- acting like she has better things to do and other places to be. above and beyond expectation i had a 2013 4runner brought in for a entertainment package. i am familiar with car stereo and installations. when these guys were done, first thing i check was the wiring. this was show quality installation and wiring. even though you can't see the wires, i looked under the dash and under my seats and the wiring was superb. steve did a great job with the car. i went with the brands they recommended and it was way better than what i wanted. great job steve and greg. read more

This is the second time they fixed a problem that no one else could seem to handle. I had a problem with my satellite radio several years ago, it caused my battery to spontaneously die, causing me all sorts of problems. I took it to 3 or 4 places and no one could figure it out. A friend recommended them and it took them all of 15 minutes to solve the problem. I got a new car recently and was getting the run around about why my satellite radio didn't work. I had been to the dealer several times and they couldn't figure it out. I bought a new radio and was prepared to have it installed when the tech realized it was just a problem with my antenna. Quick and cheap and now it works thru the existing system. I would never go anywhere else. read more

I would not hesitate recommending them to family and friends. I recently had an issue with my parrot blue tooth and they diagnosed the issue witch turned out to be a bad remote and even printed the page on amazon to find the replacement and didn't charge the service fee. I call about prices on a tint for a Honda Civic 4 door sedan 2012. I am a fan of ceramic tint and I asked the price on that kind and it was a whopping $450 for the whole car? I understand ceramic is expensive to begin with but another place I called was only charging me $195 and $40 more for ceramic. On yelp they have 71 reviews with 4.5 stars and many ppl seem to be VERY happy with their ceramic tint. So must be good! I will be going there instead :) read more

Bought a new truck and had no idea where to go for window tinting. My last tint was done by a friend at a business that no longer exists, so I had no idea where to go, or what it would cost. I got an e-mail Groupon (out of the blue, ironically) for a $79 "Deal" to tint the windows, not knowing any better I called and they were too busy to see me. I called a few others, after a quick search online and all were too busy to see me. I called these guys, realizing I'd driven by them about a 1000 times over the last 20+ years (even stopping in many years ago about a stereo question, of which they were very helpful) and the woman who answered the phone (Esther) was awesome. She said they don't do appointments and it's first come-first served, also that it would be about an hour to tint my windows. I drove over, talked to her for a few minutes about what tint would best match my truck and left it there. I came back in about an hour, and my windows look great! Match wonderfully and my new truck looks stellar! No hassle, quick service, and great prices! They were quick, very knowledgeable and it was CHEAPER than the "Deal" I was offered through the other place. The business looks like a business, with a very large and comfortable waiting area. If I needed an alarm, I'd take it here. I will certainly refer any one else looking for window tinting or electronics in their car to these guys, they were great and I couldn't be happier! read more

I have had 3 custom installations done by Greg and his techs at Sound Tech and every single time I have been pleasantly surprised at the outstanding quality of their work, from the windshield tinting to the custom sound equipment that they have installed on my personal vehicles. This last vehicle that did for me, he outdid himself in the quality of the install and also in the outstanding craftsmanship and detail that he went to in fabricating a custom fiberglass box for my sub. He has a vast amount of knowledge on the A/V equipment that he sells and installs. In the years that I have been business with him I have never felt pressured into purchasing any equipment that I did not need. His prices are fair and competitive on the equipment that he sells and installs.
