We had waited for over two months for them to (not) schedule our job, so we expected a long wait time with Control Freaks as well. To the contrary, Jerry came out the same day to give us an estimate, and he completed the work four days later. Jerry took about an hour longer than he had anticipated because he was dedicated to making sure everything was up and running perfectly before he headed out. He was polite, clean, honest, and meticulous. Overall, we could not be happier with the service we received from Control Freaks and would not hesitate to refer them to friends and family. We will certainly use them again in the future.

As a part of building a new house we were looking for a home audio/video company that could merge…read moresome existing AV equipment with new purchases to complete a finished system. We also needed the company to be flexible enough to work with our existing building contractor. We met with Dave Gerard, owner of Elemental Home Technology, and outlined our needs. Dave listened to our goals and was more than willing to work within the parameters of our project. From crafting an initial proposal, meeting with our builder during construction, to equipment selection and final install and configuration, Dave more then met our expectations. Dave's attention to detail from start to finish, understanding of the AV landscape, understanding of our project budget, cleanliness of the work areas, listening to us as individuals and much more made this work a success. Work included install of multiple in-ceiling speakers, mounting and wiring of two televisions and related devices, connection of a sound bar and connection of extensive existing equipment. During the project I never felt like Dave was trying to sell us equipment but rather listening to our needs and making suggestions. We did purchase some items from Dave but he was equally willing to work with other equipment we already had. It felt like we had a partner in our project not someone just selling us home AV equipment.

In my continuing quest to complete a retro fit LED lighted store that the new retrofit lamps (the…read moreentire system was upgraded in 2020, 100+ fixtures!) are somehow already obsolete, I'm finding myself asking others with hopefully more current electrical know how. As an electrician, I've been practicing this trade this time around since 2014, following a career redirect in 98 wherein I dropped blue collar electrician work I did 1983-1996, to do CAD work for electrical engineering and similar. This was often solid modeling GIS and GPS mapping. At any rate, I just found another electrical contractor who was both welcoming and open to share knowledge and not expect compensation for his 10min consult. In short, when I find individuals who are courteous and wanting to help I like to make sure they get the best foot forward. I looked at examples of their work online and it's precisely as I hoped to find. Top shelf.
