This is a very cute roadside stand serving Asian toast or sandwiches. The guy who runs this place is super nice. He even came out and brought my food to my car as it was raining. The prices are reasonable and the portions are big. There are picnic tables and jazz music for ambience. I think it would be hot spot in the summer with everyone road tripping. I got the chicken sandwich based on online pics. You get to choose your level of spiciness. The sandwich was loaded with slaw, pickles and a spicy mayo sauce, bread was toasted -- I could barely get my mouth around it. The chicken was a substabtial, no skimping on the meat. Flavours melded together and the spice built up through time. Also, there's a stamp card where you get a freebie after so many visits. Overall, love this place and will come back whenever I am in the area! If this place was on the mainland, I would go here all the time. It's the epitome of the kind of place that should be featured on Diners, Drive in or Dives. Definitely worth having to do a uturn on the hwy.

Such a great spot! We had the chicken toast and it was delicious in every way. Super massive sandwich. Ate it too fast to take a photo.

As a fan of Korean street food, this is truly a hidden little gem of Vancouver Island and the whole of BC.

FOOD Pork Galbi ($30) It's one of the few options that includes soup and it may be the only option with a non-spicy broth. It is reasonable sized, comes with bone and boneless meat, seven sides and a cup of rice. Overall, pretty tasty! House Special Kimbab ($16) Again, it's not the cheapest but it is sized well, comes with many pieces and tastes good! Vegetable Bibimbap with Beef ($28) Probably the healthiest option on the menu; it was well-sized tastes good, and comes with a Korean version of Japanese miso soup (slightly different with cabbage leaves). Jjajangmyeon ($16) It feels expensive but you get a fair amount of noodles and the sauce can be served on the side (recommended). === 3. SERVICE It was. good in English and Korean; the two front-of-the-house staff were responsive to ad hoc needs and refilling waters. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It clean and newish, meeting the needs of groups of 2 or 4 easily. We took the table could fit all 8 of us and the trays upon which the food was served were tightly packed. Baby strollers and wheelchairs could be accommodated well; parking though was difficult with your luck for the limited street parking outside.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE 3.5 stars: the only thing really…read morestopping us from going back is the perception of value (or price of the dishes). The food is decent and the service good. I know things have gone crazy after the pandemic...but it still feels a little surprising that in Langford (i.e. not downtown or at a ritzy mall like Mayfair with higher rent), the prices are as high as what you get food-wise. === 2. FOOD Kid's Udon ($11) It's good - the udon, broth, single tofu puff, and the kid's juice (apple). I'm just struggling a little bit with the cost to get such a small meal. It feels like it should be $9 or less, or perhaps had more in the udon bowl to make it feel like it was worth $11. Smoky Beef Short Ribs So 8 oz is $28 and an extra 4 oz is $12. We decided to go for both and found that $40 for 12 oz of meat really didn't come up with much (see pic). The portion size is a little on the small side - at least compared to the price. Full Meal ($4.75) This add-on gets you a small salad, one small side dish (no choice - just kimchi), and a bowl of rice. It's different than we're used to in Korean restaurants around the world (even compared to ones in Vancouver) where there is no choice of side dish, and no refills. Bulgogi Bibimbap ($18.50) This is the dish I would recommend - if you're looking for something to fill you up at reasonably value, you can't go wrong with beef and veg on rice. === 3. SERVICE The service was great and the food served in a reasonable time, no complaints here! === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a little on the darker side which is fine - clean and contemporary. There are tables for 2, 4, or perhaps 8 or more when they are combined. Wheelchairs and baby strollers fit well here. The expansive shopping complex parking lot outside should be able to accommodate your chariot easily.

Restrooms are located upstairs, and there are no elevators, so it is not wheelchair accessible. Yelp waitlist and Yelp Reservations are available on the app, so I made a reservation and the host greeted and seated us as soon as we entered. The vibe is fun, they have a great playlist playing in the background, and a big drink menu. The food menu is pretty big, and they specialize in Korean style roasted chicken. We ordered: * Rose Pasta Appetizer - could've been an entree. It was so good and my favorite dish of everything we ordered. The sauce was so good, we saved the leftover sauce on the plate to dip our roasted chicken. 5/5 * Pan Fried Chicken Noodle - basically yakisoba noodles. Decent but a bit bland. 3/5 * Butter Curry Roasted Chicken - came with Korean rice cakes on top. 4/5. Chicken was tender and I loved that it was boneless. * Spicy Chili Roasted Chicken - we originally wanted the Volcano flavor, but the server warned us that it was really spicy, and suggested the spicy chili instead. We enjoyed the flavor of this one more than the curry one. So good! 5/5 Our server was super nice, and food came out quick! I highly recommend stopping by if you're craving some good chicken!!

The Korean proprietors offer primarily sushi and few Korean options when looking for something a little different than the Western cuisine options nearby / down the road. And you won't be disappointed either - recommended for friends; I'm definitely returning when I can also! === 2. FOOD The bento box may be the best value on the menu. We happened to choose a number of items for takeout this evening: - California Roll ($6.50) - Haro Roll ($18.50) - Pork Gyoza ($7) - Maki Combo ($18) - Dynamite Combo ($18) - Salmon Sashimi ($15) - Chicken Udon ($13.99) - Kimbob Roll ($8.50) - Japchae The only thing I might think about before ordering again would be the udon: see my picture, so it wasn't bad but it was unusual how they did the soup and they put red peppers in there, which is unusual... === 3. SERVICE Service over the phone and in person were great in English; they staff speak to each other in Korean and I can only presume service would have been just fine for Korean-speaking patrons. The food was also prepared reasonably quick. === 4. ENVIRONMENT So it's plain white inside - a clean white. There is bar-style seating at the front window and a few small tables meant for groups of 2 or 4 inside. Wheelchairs and baby strollers should have no challenges fitting and the parking is as plentiful as it gets in the this relatively-new residential shopping complex.
