I've done SoulCycle in and out for the past few years but have had the best experience at this studio. Shout out to Trammell for making classes challenging in the best way! Regardless of instructor though, any SoulCycle class is a good class in my opinion. Every instructor is different but that's what makes it fun. I love going in knowing that each ride will involve great music and "pump you up" motivation from not only the teacher but other riders too. You ride solo but being in a room with a crew all hustling it out together is inspiring. If you've never tried cycling, SoulCycle is a great place to start! read more

Due to my dad passing away and me having an injury that stopped me from spinning for 2 years. I adore Soulcycle they are the best and it's always been a great outlet for me to spin. I find it to be a moving meditation. The instructions are really nice and sweet. Can't forget about the front desk staff who go above and beyond. Can't wait to return to Soulcycle. Thank you Soulcycle. read more

Location: This spot is quite smaller bathroom wise compare to the other spots I have been too. Class: it was packed and the music was 10/10 the instructor was an amazing guy and could tell his favorites definitely enjoy his classes, which was indeed an intense class for sure. The gals at the desk are a little stuck up compared to other spots I have visited definitely could soften the faces and smile more. read more

Had a great experience here! Really friendly and helpful staff and the instructor was also really good. Great class.

Both me AND my friend got ringworm from the seats here. So disgusting. When we reached out to SC seeking some type of reimbursement for our troubles, they said they couldn't offer us anything. They simply don't care. Stay away from this location - truly can't imagine how dirty this place is if both me AND my friend got ringworm. read more

The nicest front desk staff in the city. Was having a terrible day and the bus was packed and I ended up being almost 10 minutes late. I've been to a lot of SC studios and most would just turn me away at that point, but this one was so kind on the phone and told me not to worry about it and they got me in to the class I wanted. They even offered to bump me to the one a half hour later if I wanted a full 45 min. So kind and also one of the best quality studios in the city. So lucky to have found them! read more

I never come up here because it's a ride to get here from my house. But I came today for Elton John v. lady Gaga and Anthony was the instructor. He is incredible: read more

I will never give a SoulCycle anything less than a rave review, but this is one of the best studios in Manhattan. They actually have two studios, one full-sized and one that's a little smaller so that more classes can be packed in. Everything is super clean and orderly as always and the staff are always so nice. There's plenty of retail in the lobby, though locker space could be bigger. There are locker rooms downstairs, but the cramped stairs make for tons of traffic in between classes. Of course, this isn't really their fault. Regardless, I always enjoy coming to Soul and this location features some of the most prominent instructors. There are a lot of great and healthy food options in the area so I love coming up here on the weekends and having a full day of wellness. read more

SoulCycle - Front desk - Cycling Classes Near Me - New York, New York

It was my first time here for a class with my friends and the front desk were super helpful and friendly! Would recommend getting here early if it's your first time, because the staff helped us get set up with our bikes! The bathrooms/locker rooms were amazing and were complimentary to use with the class. Although each class is a little $$, it is a fun way to get a workout in! The class has loud music that keeps you pumped and our instructor, Tora, was amazing at guiding the class!! read more

I am a big, big fan of SoulCycle and go pretty often. I have been to almost all of the studios in NYC and Westchester so I am now going to start finally reviewing them all! This location is the studio I go to the most often as it is the closest - only a few blocks - from my apartment. But it is also one of my favorites. It is a very big studio, two floors and two studios. The main level is the two studios, one main one and one smaller one. They have a couple lockers and a single person bathroom upstairs along with their apparel for sale. Then downstairs is the locker rooms. On big area full of lockers and benches that is a multi gender area, all the lockers also are built with their own locks, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own. Then there is a men and women's locker room. Each equip with multiple showers, bathrooms, areas to get ready, etc. Coming to SoulCycle you really feel like you're getting pampered because all of their products and amenities are so nice. The showers are stocked with Le Labo products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and and face wash), they recently just added some drunk elephant facial items like a cream and serum that I was so excited to try yesterday and I loved, they have the Dyson blow driers, endless towels, spray on deodorant, face wash, lotion, hair ties, q-tips, pretty much anything you need. As far as the class itself goes, I love SoulCycle, it is a fun, upbeat, motivating and challenging workout and you feel so good when it is done. I have never had a bad instructor, they are all really great. They incorporate choreography like push ups, weights and more into the class to really make it full body, everyone leaves the room dripping in sweat. I take the T/Th class at 7:30 a lot here with the Taylor and he is so great. He is so positive and always changes up the workout so it never gets boring! Shoes and a Fiji water come with your class which is great. They also provide a towel on each bike, so you really don't have to worry about bringing anything. And everyone at this location is really really nice (they are at all the locations tho)! This is prob my favorite location in the city! read more

SoulCycle - Half of the locker room -lower level - Cycling Classes Near Me - New York, New York

Very good SoulCycle location. Have really enjoyed classes here with Anthony Winters, Cher, and Trammell. Moreover, the Studio Crew here is great - shoutout to Donovan, who is always upbeat and positive (and has helped me to adjust my bike on multiple occasions) and to Robbie, who let me keep my stuff behind the desk one day when I was running late. The other Studio Crew members here are great too! read more

83rd Street location is great. Very clean, friendly staff and Anthony Winter's class is amazing. The music is great. His energy is contagious. SoulCycle - Cycling Classes Near Me - New York, New York

Generally, I really like SoulCycle. My only qualms are letting latecomers in - at one class, they were trying to set up bikes for people in the dark, between riders, hitting off elbows, etc. I wouldn't mind if it happened once, but this is maybe four or five times now. Also - many classes start late and end early. I signed up for a 45min class. Not 38 min or 39min, etc. Maybe it's just me, but I like to be on time for a class that says it'll be a certain duration. Time is money, and this ain't cheap. read more

IT PAINS ME TO GIVE SOULCYLCE LESS THAN A THOUSAND STARS. SoulCycle is the best thing in NY, possibly the world. It is life changing and will change what you thought you knew about exercise. I am an absolute devoted SoulCycler, I've been to studios all across and can't go more than 2 days without going to a class, read: I go almost every day. My ONLY problem that I've ever had with SoulCycle is at this studio. It's pretty apparent that a few of the front desk workers tend to "play favorites" to people that they know. I won't say "regulars", because I'm definitely a regular. I've noticed at the 7:30AM class on Fridays (usually Stacey), they reserve seats for people ahead of time (before noon on Mondays), give away free water bottles/coconut water, and definitely play favorites when reading off the waitlist. I'm actually very disappointed by this, as someone who routinely talks about SoulCycle daily, looks forward each morning to my 6am class with Micheal, Trammel and all the other greats, its really sad that a place with such a positive energy would be unfair to people just because you're friendly with some people. We all pay our hard earned $34 like the rest of us, and I don't think this is part of SoulCycle's brand to be acting this way. I would really encourage the manager to take notice of this and bring back a more positive and inclusive energy to the front desk, it is the first thing I see in the mornings and I would hate for it to tarnish or turn people away from the amazing experiences we have in the studios! read more

Tip #1: If it's your first class, come early. A rushed first time set up is no good. Tip #2: If it's your first class or you are just not an all-star soul cycler, don't sit in that front row. Tip #3: Memorize your bike adjustments. Upside: It is a good workout that incorporates upper body. You will sweat a lot and see changes to your waistline. I didn't fall in love first time, but keep going, you will! Downside: The price. It def adds up! Pet peeve(s): When teachers shout people out for not being on beat. Mind you this never happened to me, but I cringe every time it is done to someone else. If you pay so much for a class, who cares if they are moving to their own beat???? You shouting them out won't miraculously get them to keep the beat. At least turn off your mic and talk to them. These are adults that know their dance abilities, thanks for the reminder. Oh and 2nd pet peeve: when the front desk gives up your seat to someone else if you don't come 5 minutes before, which I understand if it's a packed house, but really you gave up my seat when the class isn't even full???!!! But I digress..... Fav's so far: Tomas - OMG energy for days. LOVE him!!! Rique - You WORK from beginning to end Taye - like her music the most and its a very tough workout read more

As an avid fitness person and indoor cyclist I have mixed feelings about SC. Pros: Great workout, high energy music, clean studio/locker room, positive vibe, nice sense of community and most of the instructors work hard to motivate, inspire and challenge you. Although, it hasn't yet lived up to the hype of being "the hardest and greatest spin workout ever". Cons: The studio ventilation isn't great so it gets very hot, instructors aren't consistently focused on form, classes are extremely expensive and you have to pay for shoes. SC's single class rate is comparable to other boutique spin studios in NYC, which provide a similar experience & amazing workout. However unlike their competitors, SC rarely, if ever, offers class package deals(aside from an occasional 4 for $120 but expires in 5 days). They are also one of the only studios not on Class Pass or FitReserve, which would give fitness enthusiasts the chance to take at least 1-2 classes a month at a more affordable rate. If you're physically active taking 1-3+ spin classes/week, Soul Cycle isn't the best and most cost efficient option out there, so I wouldn't waste the money. I understand the exclusivity and elitism vibe SC strives for with this, but I've had better spin workouts at their competitors, and my friends on Class Pass can actually afford to join me. I still go to this studio on occasion since is convenient to my home and a great workout, but I'm still not sold on all the hype. read more

I went this past weekend and was very unimpressed with this location. I've been to various SoulCycle locations around NYC and this was my first negative experience. The front desk staff were extremely unprofessional. I had a gift card and there were issues with the system accepting it and they were huffing and puffing about it the entire time. Every time the phone rang, they shuddered like it was a chore to pick it up. While I'm not a regular at the location, I still expect good customer service. SoulCycle in general needs to improve its gift card accessibility. I tried to reserve a bike online. When I couldn't book that way, I called the studio. They ultimately recommended that I come in-person to book. For a business model that's so forward thinking, you would think they'd figure this out. It is clear the SoulCycle experience varies by location. I won't be returning to this one. read more

Have you ever gone so basic that in the process, you find you've become a bad b*tch? Moi aussi. And while I happily get my housewife on at spin class when I'm rolling around the mean streets of Winnetka, it was not until I found myself surrounded by a sea of blonde ponies, Lulu spandex, and tight tushes at the E83rd Soul Cycle that I realized I had transcended to a new level. And yeah, sure, there was a moment where the lights were off, an EDM remix of a Killers song was on, and our fearless leader, Anandah (not kidding) instructed us to "rise up, extend our right arms, and feel powerful" when I looked around and was like, this totally looks like an underground mtg of the Nazi youth....but did I get over it real quick and happily ride on? Reader, I did. Standard classes are 45m, though they also offer hour long sessions for those looking to get fully spring break ready. Music depends on the instructor - and per KD, ranges from all Beyoncé to early 90s throwbacks - yes, the vocal stylings assaulting your ears at splitting levels while you sweat last night's regret can make or break a class, but overall, it's reliably solid. To get real for a second, I'm not sure I would attempt a class if I wasn't already keeping my shizz together - the bikes are built for loving punishment rather than comfort, and if I was a size 16+, I'm honestly not sure how that balancing act would work. Also, if you hate any flavor of chilling in the dark with 40 scantily clad strangers, this maybe won't be for you, but if you're at all inclined to get down w humping a stationary bike, shoulder presses, deep breathing, and all things that are simultaneously so right and so wrong w our world, I cannot recommend SC highly enough. Single class is $35 - includes a pair of shoes and a locker. Packages are also available - but I think we worked it out and it's still like $30/class, so clearly it's a workout for those who's inner core is all abt that zen shit and who's outer self is a total boss who can bankroll feeling this enlightened. For me, it is truly my baddest, most basic dream come true. read more

Easily my favorite soul location! I'm biased because Stacey is my favorite instructor, but the front desk staff here are also incredibly friendly and helpful. Whether you're huge into soul cycle or just a beginner, i highly recommend this location and take a class with Stacey! read more

I thought this place was disgusting. For almost 40 bucks a class, I would expect to walk out feeling painfully pampered. (The pain from the workout and the pampered feeling from the spa like locker rooms.) Quite the opposite. First the locker rooms: the showers were filthy, no lotion was available and the shower products were sub par. I could feel the mildew on the wooden drying mat as I got out of the shower. I actually had to go home an shower again because it was that disgusting. The workout: meh. I have taken spin classes at NYSC and crank that were harder. I dont need a dark room and candles surrounding a spin instructor for a zen experience. And I would prefer not paying $3 for smelly spin shoes worn by countless other women. I have to admit the other soul locations I've been to (union square, UWS) were definitely cleaner, but the experience felt similar. maybe I set my expectations too high, or maybe it really is just overrated. read more

Soul Cycle has so many locations in NYC that I never felt the need to come up all the way to 83rd street especially when they just open their east 63rd street and Noho locations. However, when I actually got into their free Girls HBO ride this week, I had to go! SC does host free community rides around the city but it's typically their Union Square or Tribeca locations and they are full within a matter of seconds (their reservation system opens up on Mondays at noon for each week). When I first walked towards the building, I was like "wow!" The whole outside wall is just white with a huge soulcycle symbol outside. When I walked in, I noticed all the iPads that were connected to the wall with stools in front of them so you can sit and browse. This location is similar to the Union Square one where a majority of lockers and the bathroom/showers are down the stairs, with the studio and lobby upstairs. However the downstairs locker room is much more spacious than any of the other locations locker areas. I'm so happy I got into the ride. They were even handing out free Girls HBO sweatbands. Also, I got to ride with one of my favorite instructors, Emma. My first sc class was with her and she is just amazing and motivating. I'm addicted to SC!!!! Yes, it's not a cheap addiction but it is worth it. Plenty of amenities for usage such as gum, hair ties, hair spray, tampons, etc. It makes it easy to head off to work or out for drinks after class. read more

This was my first soul cycle class. I'm an avid indoor cyclist so I feel like I know what to expect when going to these classes. I've heard great things about soul cycle how it's the greatest workout you will ever have, the teachers are incredible and when you leave you will be hooked. Well... I defiantly didn't get that feel. Pro 1. I loved the teacher. I went to Sandra 11 am class she was incredibly nice and really pushed you to go at your own pace. I would take her class again. 2. The studio is very clean 3. They do have showers which is awesome if you are going out after Con 1. The price. The studio I go to at home is ten dollars cheaper and offers unlimited monthly. Soul cycle is nothing special. 2. Bikes seem old and rundown. For being this expensive I was expecting brand new top of the line bikes. 3. The bikes are horribly placed. You feel like you are On top of each other and I was constantly hitting the person next to me during the weight section. 4. This location has two studios with one of the studios having 70 bikes. If you are new this is super intimidating and it was super hard to get the manager attention. read more

I tried this once and left thinking that for the money, $32? !? people in this neighborhood are desperate. The people are a bit too over zealous and the indeed, the forty-something moms are annoying. The cost per class is so shameless but I am sure they will have to lower it. One does have to admire the audacity of the owners and kinda wish them well. However, let's face it. The best place for exercise is Central Park which is steps way. A walk around the reservoir is more than great exercise, it is an exercise in taking in nature- good for the soul. Being in a room with forty-something petal pushing lycra moms giving themselves a pat on the back, for being "good". The fact that this kind of business exists, exercise for a lot of money should be a sign of how lazy we have become. read more

I've been coming to soulcycle on 83rd for over 5 months and have nothing but amazing things to say about it. I've had to do things that would normally lead to a bad experience, like cancel a class at the last minute, but even that was handled with exceptional customer care. Every time you come in the staff is attentive, smiling and accommodating. I love that about this studio. Yes, the classes are a bit pricey and you have to rent your shoes, but I've been to 6 other spin studios/chains in the city and soulcycle is still my first choice. The mix of the instructors, class composition, music and darkness of the room that make their classes more fun than their competitors. Soulcycle is about your personal journey. There's no focusing on competing with anyone in the room. It's just about the bike, the beat and you. I have classpass and could easily only take spin classes via their offerings, but I don't. I choose to shell out the 30 something dollars twice a week because it does my body that much good! read more

I never soulcycled before, so I was not sure what I was getting myself into but I have heard so much about it. I went here with two other friends as our first time, and it was actually amazing! For first timers, you can get your first class for $20, which includes the clip-on shoe rentals. They have lockers downstairs and you do not need to bring a lock. It is a digitized automatic lock! They also have showers and amenities in the bathroom, such as deodorant, lotion and etc. The place is also super clean! Remember to bring your water bottle, as you will sweat like you haven't sweat before! When you get into the studio, you can ask the staff for help to adjust your bike and to clip on your shoes to the bike, so no worries! There is a bottle holder for your water bottle and there is a towel to wipe your continuous sweat through this intense activity. Our instructor was Tomas and he was so much fun! His playlist was great and he uses the lights of the studio to his advantage, almost as if you were in the club. The class is actually really intense for those that never soulcycled before. It consists a lot of effort in biking at different resistances and getting up and down from your bike. The other people in the class that were regulars kept going and did not stop. I was amazed. But FML, when my water bottle fell from its holder and I couldn't get it because I was clipped in and the lights were off. There were times where me and my friends had to stop because it was just too much, but you'll still have fun and leave with satisfaction! Me and my friends were sore for a couple of days and I don't know if it was just us, but the one of the areas that we were sore in was near our crotches (TMI, but I'm going to be honest here). However, feeling sore is the best feeling! Definitely coming back! read more

I belong to a great gym already so paying out-of-pocket for other exercise classes isn't necessarily my jam (and this place isn't cheap). I was, however, convinced to try Soulcycle out and it was totally, totally worth it. It was pretty cramped as the lockers melt into the front desk, so if you're looking for a place to shower and casually do your make-up post workout, this isn't it. It doesn't really matter though, because you grab your special shoes to lock into the bike, throw your stuff in the complimentary locker (let's just briefly mention that my gym charges a monthly fee for lockers, so thanks, Soulcycle!) and get ready to ride. Nick, the instructor, had great energy and really pushed us. The music was great for a high-intensity workout - Bruno Mars, Usher (love), Katy Perry - and totally matched the vibe of the intervals. We also did upper body exercises and I felt like my 45 minutes was totally optimized from start to finish. This is the best spin class I've been to by far (and I've been to a lot) and I'll definitely be back. read more

I love this SoulCycle location! I have had nothing but great workouts here to supplement my normal cardio choice of running. I haven't tried many other cycling classes, but Soul Cycle is great option to mix up your workouts or just treat yourself to. Its of course pricey, and a little annoying that they charge for shoes and water on top of the class. I always grab water or gatorade across the street at Duane Reade beforehand (cheaper). The downstairs locker room is super clean- I'm usually weird about using gym showers but the Soul Cycle showers were immaculate and their shampoo products smell lovely! My favorite instructors are Olivia (great music and attitude!) and Charilyn (really motivating!). Charilyn gave a great tip for Soul Cycle newbies (ahem, me) struggling to unclip their shoes from the bike: press down on the ball of your food, and then swing your heel outward as if you're stamping out a cigarette. Amazingly this tip worked for me and I haven't struggled with unclipping since. Soul Cycle is definitely worth a try and more fun with a friend- I've been accompanying a friend who is going for pre-wedding workouts and she looks great! :) read more

The UES location for Soul is definitely one of the better ones! Even though it is crammed in the lobby area, their studio is superior to the other ones I've been to in the city. My favorite instructors at this location are Tomas and Daniel. Tomas is incredibly upbeat with a lot of emphasis on weights, and I also LOVE how he actually utilizes the amazing light system in the UES studio. Daniel actually substituted for Tomas when he was injured and I was incredibly pleased! Definitely one of my best classes thus far and I loved the long sprints at the end. I just wish this establishment would offer a student discount or discounts for classes in the middle of the day that don't fill up as quickly. read more

I finally (!!!) SoulCycle-ed! I had my first class with Ryan P. on Tuesday, and it was everything I thought it would be -- intense, amazing, fun and kind of made me want to throw up and cry at the same time (...but in a good way.) I did the first-timer deal; it's $20 for the class and shoes. I think the normal/not discounted price is $35/class and $20/shoes, so $20/everything is actually a bargain. Also, signing up for the class was super easy. I know you can do it online, but I just walked in and the receptionists/staff happily signed me up...and cancelled and re-signed me up and cancelled and re-signed me up. (My work schedule kept changing; at one point, it felt like my life revolved around canceling and rescheduling this one class.) Moving on, though. After a few days of canceling/rescheduling, I signed up (and stuck with!) for a 4:30PM class on Tuesday with Ryan P. I was a few minutes late, but I don't feel like I missed too much. Everything was surprisingly easy to get the hang of, even clipping in the shoes (which freaked me out the most.) Ryan is great! He's upbeat, positive, fun and super helpful. I loved his playlist, too, which was pretty pop-y and perfect for breaking a sweat to. He was also super easy to follow along with. I also really liked all the positive affirmations during the class. (I suppose that's where the "soul" comes in.) The class definitely kicked my ass, but it was so fun. I felt so empowered and so strong and so...just so good! It's a little pricey; I can't imagine coming here more than once a week (who has the funds?) But, it's a great way to spice up your weekly workout routine. read more

Taken classes with Ryan S. and Nick Pratley so far. The two instructors have very different styles. The music in Ryan's is bumpin' and will really get you going, which is essential to a good spin class imho. The class pretty much turned into a dance party on wheels and was an excellent work out. Nick's class was much more zen-like with softer music and Nick uttering yogi-like affirmations during class. [Can you tell which class was more my style, btw? ha] My only complaint was how hot and stuffy the studio got - at one point Nick joked that it was bikram spinning, which it certainly felt like. The heat and how densely packed the room was made it feel a bit claustrophobic, and at times it felt like there wasn't enough air and ventilation in the room; and from my guesses, I can't imagine everyone was maximizing their oxygen intake, what with so many people and candles burning, sucking up excess oxygen in the room. On the flip side, I love that the rooms are kept dark during class. The bikes are shoes are awesome, although I always forget to get bike seats, and my tucchus is a bit achey as a result. Locker rooms are immaculate and stocked with everything you could need. Gets really hot there though, and you really need to be in and out pre- and post- classes because it gets really packed. Sorta pricey to keep up with, but you can save money with class packs. Heard they're raising the price on these though... read more

Best soul cycle in the world. I started doing it a couple of months ago and I love it so much and so does my mom. My favorite instructor is Emma. She helps you if your form is wrong which is something not every instructor does. She also is very motivational. All the employees are there to help and get you your water and shoes as soon as you arrive. The locker room is very nice and you have plenty of space to put your things in. Overall I love soul cycle so much. It's also very well priced at $36 a class. read more

Imagine Soul Cycle on steroids if that's even possible, and you've got yourself the studio on E 83. Firstly, this is the only location that I know of with two spinning rooms (a major plus), so it's much spacier than a lot of locations. Second, the rooms themselves are decked out with neon lights and disco balls- I felt like I was riding in a club, which only made it even better. I've only ever taken a class here with Tomas, but I recommend taking his class if you enjoy the likes of Major Lazer and Galantis and generally enjoy a clubby vibe. The only complaint I have is that his mike was WAY too loud and he was screaming into it, so I was going deaf for 45 minutes. For you newbies out there, DO NOT BOOK A BIKE IN THE FRONT ROW YOUR FIRST TIME. read more

From the time that you walk in, it is a positive atmosphere. The employees are super professional and warm at the same time. The locker room and bathrooms are clean. SoulCycle's gotten too big for its britches. They have forgotten that without loyal customers, they wouldn't have a business. I've downgraded this location from 5 stars a year and a half ago to two stars now. The rides and the instructors are still great, but the customer service has gone down the tubes. Honestly, the cleaning staff is much nicer than the front desk "customer service" people. I've done 210 rides, which means I'm spending a lot of money there, so you'd think they'd go out of their way to be nice to me, but they treat me like dog poop because I'm older (not a me-me-me-mellennial) and because I'm usually quiet and polite. I found out the only way to get any service at all there is to act like a jerk, so guess what? Nice and polite no more. If you're a me-me-me-mellennial they kiss up to you, give you birthday celebrations, 200+ ride celebrations, etc. Me? They ignore me and treat me like I'm invisible. If I had a viable alternative, I'd be out of there in a NY minute, but for the moment I don't. They have 85% rider retention, so apparently they feel they can treat their customers badly because they don't really care if you stay or go (unless you're a me-me-me-mellennial). Also, they claim there's a Soulcycle community...ah yes, but there is, but people who are not me-me-me-mellennials need not apply. And for the money I'm spending to work out there I shouldn't have to change for class in a shower stall or a tiny flooded toilet stall. Their corporate customer service is the pits too. They were "so excited" about my suggestions at least 8 months ago for four pound weights and multiple sign in sheets. Baloney. There are still no four pound weights and only one sign in sheet for class. Also, I'd get better front desk service from a robot. They must have asked me 150 times if I require shoes or water for class, which I never do (I bring my own). I think the front desk people should stick to deodorizing shoes (their real job, apparently), because a lot of them have no clue how to actually speak to a customer without a script. Katrina's really great and always nice to me, but she works mornings now so I never see her any more. The rest of them treat me like I'm something they just scraped off their shoes. Update..I've switched to Cyc...see my review. Similar rides and instructors minus Soulcycle's high prices and attitude. Much better. Another update: This is really sad. It's June 6 and last night I received a package of rewards...fancy toiletries, a 20% off card for retail items, etc. Inside it said, "We see you. Thanks for being one of our most dedicated riders". What's sad and funny about this is that apparently they haven't even noticed that I haven't set foot in a Soul Cycle Studio since March! Right, they see me. Way to go, Soul Cycle Customer Service! If you had "seen me" and noticed that I was one of your most dedicated riders while I was still going to Soul Cycle, I might still be there. read more

It's definitely a great location here. The area is clean. There are plenty of showers and a large locker room. I am convinced Daniel is the best instructor and his Sunday morning classes are phenomenal. The general space is a bit small, which is fine if I didn't have to stand up against all of the pretentious people who attend this UES studio in their $60 half ripped soul tanks and $30 matching socks. Also, your 10 year old son should not be in a soul cycle class - that's inappropriate. That is all. read more

This was my first Soulcycle. I've heard about it for so long I guess I was expecting TOO much. Don't get me wrong--It was a great workout...clean space, the spinning bike rows are elevated so there's not a bad seat in the house, the room is dark and they have candles going. The teacher was nice enough...but "sit, stand, sit, stand, sit, stand" ...I really didn't find this superior or more "inspirational" in any way to the regular spin classes I have a my own gym. Also--I like loud music, but I felt like my eardrums would blow! I can't understand why people would pay $35 plus per class. I think I'll do without the candles and stick to my own gym. read more

I love soul cycle so I cannot be an unbiased! This is a great location and have loved my classes here.

Just went to my first class ever tonight and I. Loved. It. Don't worry if you're not a cyclist or cycling class regular - I sure as hell wasn't. This class is loud, intense, and so much more fun than any other workout class I've ever taken. The instructors definitely don't baby anyone (too many people in one room to do that) but it's easy enough to follow along by watching the people around you on your first try. Yes, it's mega expensive - so while I won't financially be able to attend classes frequently, I sure WISH I could and will try to go as much as I can. I LOVE SOULCYCLE. read more
