There are 4 individual unisex showers - 1 downstairs and 3 upstairs, along with restrooms on both floors. Their upstairs is a bit cozy, but I like that their showers up there are more tucked away, so there's not as much foot traffic getting in/out the shower rooms. It's nice to have the individual showers as well, so that we can change right after instead of in the general vanity area. One con was that my stats screen wasn't working on the bike I booked (Bike 12), so I swapped to a different one and seamlessly informed the front desk after class, so that I could receive my stats from my swapped bike. I also wish CycleBar had wipes for the bikes bc there were a couple of bikes with shoes left on them, meaning the studio wasn't properly checked. Huge plus that CycleBar provides shoes though + the staff are very helpful in helping you with your bike.

LOVE LOVE LOVE CYCLEBAR!!!!…read more this is my go-to location and compared to others in the city, it is one of the largest and cleanest! the staff and instructors are knowledgeable, helpful, and kind, and i always leave having done a great workout. my favorite instructor is cedrick - he teaches great classes monday and friday so if you can book his class you should! the bikes are always clean and easy to adjust, and they have a TON of lockers spread out so you're not on top of each other. even the bathrooms and showers are huge so you have plenty of space. really great location!!

Their bathrooms are also roomier, where I didn't feel like it was cramped when moving about the area. All the necessary toiletries were stocked and staff came around to clean the bathroom floors as well. There are also ample showers here (~8), so there was little to no wait for an available one. Only downside was that there was no hot water in this location, however it wasn't too much of an inconvenience, as I was sweating a ton after the class to care. They did offer the showers at their nearby 19th st location that had hot water, but at the time, it was inconvenient to trek there in sweaty workout clothes. The staff here are not too bad. They're supportive and more than willing to help adjust your seat as well. I took a class here with Gabby A and her playlist had perfectly paced music that wasn't outrageously fast, so I felt like I got a good workout at my (beginner-spin) level. I love that you're free to go at your own pace, regardless, and the class absolutely feels like a judgement-free zone. Love this SoulCycle area as well and would absolutely book a class at this location again!

Studio space has great lighting that appears to sync with the music, unlike most of the other studios where it looks like the instructors control most of the lights. Not too many bikes here, maybe 45 or so. 7:30 Thursday with Viper was lit, and many friendly attendees here as well. Located in Hudson Yards, not far from the Peloton studio.

I was really…read moreimpressed with the space itself--this is a posh outpost with new, quality equipment and amenities.  Locker room/shower area was clean and well stocked. The spin studio itself has fine new bikes and equipment. I will say though that I found the temperature inside way too warm (which might be a SoulCycle "thing"?) and I also found the bikes uncomfortably crammed together--I mean, I would have had this thought pre-Covid just on comfort alone, but that added factor makes the layout feel particularly unwelcoming. The workout itself is generally very good. Instructors here really give their all, and I was particularly impressed with James, who has enough energy for a spin room of thousands. If I had one critique, well--I know SC has a lot of members and frequent users, but the classes are not newbie friendly. I spin a lot, but I still found myself a bit lost with some of the movements here, and it feels like you're supposed to just get in sync pretty quickly and know what the moves are here without much support. As SC kind of has that cult-ish reputation, ultimately I do think one either buys in completely to the SoulCycke cult, or they do not, and in the final analysis I guess I don't. I'm happy that I got to try it out and enjoy some good workouts--might have been less enthusiastic if I paid full class price though. I would certainly come back for a class if the opportunity presented itself, but I've enjoyed workouts--and spin classes--far more elsewhere.

With the first class ending around 10:15am, by the time you head out it's almost lunch time. I think the earliest weekday class may be 7am, which can be a challenge if you have to be at work early. Check in is easy and staff are friendly. It gets very crowded fast trying to find a spot to sit and change shoes or get to a locker. Even worse when the next class shows up and you are trying to exit the studio and change shoes. There two single restrooms and a tight fit by the mirror once you step outside of a restroom. They offer hair ties, spray deodorant, Malin & Goetz lotion, ear plugs... fairly standard. There are no showers, but they noted I could shower downstairs at Pure Barre because they share. An employee helped set up my bike before class started. The studio felt like most crowded cycle studios in NYC. The air circulation wasn't the best and I noticed they kept opening the door every so often. A little distracting when the studio is dark but you periodically get the bright lights from the doors opening. Music wasn't really my favorite. Overall friendly staff, but I didn't leave feeling like I had an intense workout. This location was a bit out of the way for me and felt very cramped from seating to restrooms. Perhaps the other studio locations are more spacious?

Dorota is the best instructor here. Music and ride full of vibes and fun! She will really push you!read more

The cycling class was very fun. We jumped in and out of the saddle to upbeat songs, did a lil arm workout in the middle, and ended with a candlelit free ride. It was my last SoulCycle trip before I head back to Japan and it was a perfect way to close a series of fantastic classes. I've taken Karyn's classes when she first started. She was great then and got even better. High energy, great choreography, and a playlist that I would want. I'm pretty sure that every SoulCycle instructor gets more attractive over time. Must be the SoulCycle effect. Doesn't have the same impact on me though! Team at check-in is full of smiles and helpful. Love the Pride celebration in the month of June.

Well, 110 degree heat index city days aside, I guess. Casey is a very good instructor--strong, intense, and ultimately encouraging, and a very inventive ride. The studio space is nice--three rows of approximately 30-35 bikes, which are new and excellent; great to ride, and easy to adjust. You need spin shoes, which you can bring (I brought my SPDs) or can rent theirs, I think $4. Locker areas are clean and more than adequate--a bit tight to pass through when others are down there, but ample amount of lockers overall. Clean, modern bathroom, with 2-3 showers if you need to (and you will, if not going straight home!) The workout involved light weight sessions and lots of mini push-ups and crunches owhile on the bike--I've encountered this before snd slightly prefer straight spin, but it's also a fine approach. The two things I didn't personally care for: (a) the instructor will go around and adjust your resistance. We were warned in advance, but I still didn't appreciate it. In my experience most people in spin are there voluntarily and want to push themselves. It struck me as unnecessary and intrusive, and (b) a bit too much attention to people staying in rhythm--on the same leg and on the same beat. Again, I appreciate an encouraging push, but ultimately people need to be able to keep their own pace as they are able while working out. I appreciated the tough workout and would probably come back (signed up via ClassPass to try it out). Not sure I'd make it a regular though, felt like a potential for a bit too much of a cult-y soul cycle vibe or even a potential drill sergeant vibe that I don't appreciate. Also not sure I'd recommend to a spin/cycling beginner.
