I was quoted 2-3 weeks, when I followed up 2 months later they discovered that the unit had been sitting ready for pickup for a long time and no one reached out to me to tell me it was ready. If I had to guess, it seems like the repair folks are swamped with work and that they're constantly asked to prioritize items that are going to the sales floor over local customer repairs. Sad, this used to be my favorite shop in Seattle. Now it feels like they target the tech-salary or boomer collector over working musicians, and all the charm and relatability is gone. Won't be back.

The Martin Jr in stock was hanging with the other guitars was ready to play & she set me up to try it out. They had a good selection Martin accessories including a good assortment of guitar strings including the Martin brand so I also bought a spare set of the Martin LifeSpan Phosphor Bronze Light strings. I was short on time so did not get a chance to fully take in the ambience & experience of Dan & Sara's music store, but reading up on Crossroads before hand on their website & stepping into their store, I felt the warm embrace of some good vibes, and appreciate their community involvement in local music events in this very charming waterfront town. I like contributing to local businesses so I not only walked away with a very nice Martin acoustic electric guitar, it felt rewarding to give back. I used to have my work done at Mike Lulls Guitar Works. When Mike passed, I was desperately looking for a Luthier. When Aaron told me that apprenticed under Mike, I was overjoyed!!! When I initially took my first guitars to Aaron, it was to do some minor "Tweaks". After seeing AND feeling the quality of his work, I ended up taking all of my "Immediate Rotation" of guitars for him to work on!! In closing, Aaron was ALWAYS fair and accommodating. I found one that was not cheap but still met my limited funds, a pre-war Gibson L-50. I still have it and it sits out ready to be picked up and played each day. We agreed on the selling price and I went away a happy man. But doing the buying via video calls is the usual norm, from what I gather. I would buy again from him when I am ready, more likely via video call and delivery since I'm now living out of WA state.
