Ok so update. I was told that they took ribs off the menu temporarily because they were out due to the Smoke Out event at the UC! Great customer service follow through! Now I love this place!!!!! Great restaurant warm and friendly--thanks for restoring my faith.

On a random Thursday, my business partner and I decided to grab lunch/happy hour to catch up. I specifically wanted to support a Black-owned business, and she instantly said, "Soul Vibez." As a frequent TikTok viewer, I was excited to finally try it. We arrived right when they opened at 1 PM and were seated in a small cozy booth in the back. Our server came over cheerful and welcoming, asking if we'd had a chance to look at the menu. I told her it was my first time, and she smiled even bigger, sharing all her favorite drinks and how to get the best value. We decided on a tequila flight (blueberry, leche, and strawberry). She headed straight to the bar to make them herself and when I tell you EVERY drink was strong, fresh, and flavorful... I loved it! My business partner then whispered, "You know she's the owner, right?" I said, "No way!" She was so kind, down-to-earth, and personable. When she came back, she said, "Let's start with some appetizers," and recommended her favorites. We went with the deviled eggs with lobster bites and the jerk chicken egg rolls and they did NOT disappoint. Every bite was fresh and delicious. For our entrees, she again highlighted the top sellers and her personal favorites. We ordered the blackened catfish and the stuffed salmon. It didn't take long to come out, and when it did, it was beautifully presented and piping hot. Everything tasted incredible, and the service was consistent, fast, and genuine. The fact that the owner was our server made the experience even more special. I would've never known if my business partner hadn't told me. When we acknowledged it, she just smiled bright and said, "Thank you so much for being here and choosing us." I immediately replied, "See you soon, sis!" I will definitely be back. Y'all go check them out you won't be disappointed!

It's very clean and modern. The food was amazing. I started off with a peach lemonade/tea drink that was very good. I cannot remember the name, but it was spirit free. Next, I got the collard green dip. This is a must try when you go. Its so cheesy and delicious. It was perfectly seasoned. For my entre, I got the smother pork chops. OMG I did not expect that food to be so good. IDK what they seasoned that gravy with, but it was fire. The porkchops were delicious, and I loved the seasoned rice that it came with. My only complaint was that the kitchen moved very slowly on the night that I went. It took forever for my food to come out; however, I will say the taste of the food made up for the how long it took to come out.

Front of the house staff was very nice and kind and I was seated right away. However once we ordered the wait time was so bad that my cousin had finished her appetizer and we waited an additional 30 minutes for my collard green dip which was very good by the way. Everything was served one at a time with long wait times in between. By the time I received my entree I was full. I took a few bites of the Chicken and Fish and everything else I took home. Literally as soon as happy hour was over everyone around us started receiving their food very fast. The food was ok a little salty (batter from the chicken, fish and tomatoes). In addition your staff Karen was not so kind and very forgetful of what we asked for. I know she seemed overwhelmed for the area that she had. Our sentiments were shared with the manager but that was it. The owner came by to check in but she just breezed by. I'm not sure that told her of our complaint but as fast as she went by asking was everything ok I dont feel like she would have been open to what we had to say. Overall it was ok, A few suggestions...and yes I would return because maybe today was an off day and everyone deserves a chance to get it right, During Happy Hour everyone should get the same level of service, and if a different menu is offered it should be offered to everyone upon arrival. Nothing is perfect and we understand that and gave grace by waiting and being patient. But these are some easy fixes and I look forward to seeing that on my next visit!

Definitely book ahead. We all ordered the Grand Tasting, which lets you try three entrees plus a beverage. It was so much food but everything was delicious. I had the short rib, fried chicken, and catfish, each with different sides. The only thing I did not really care for was the dressing. They also had live entertainment, which made the vibe even better. Customer service was just okay, but I would still recommend it. I definitely want to try their other location since I have heard the menu is different.

Because it was a busy holiday we had a reservation made for 1:30 pm, and of course my friend group was running a little late but they were so friendly and accommodating. There was a 90 minute time limit to eat due to how busy the day was, but they were so kind to start the clock after everyone in our party showed up. Now for the good stuff! The food? Phenomenal! On the menu they have a special called the Grand Tasting where you can get 3 sampler entrees and a free glass of champagne or wine (red or white), all for $69. Everyone in my group decided to get this deal so we could all sample one another's food. I ordered the Tuffle Lobster Mac and Cheese, The Carolina Creamy Shrimp and Grits, and the Sicilian Sriracha Chicken Parmigiana. Everything was fantastic, so incredibly delicious. For the entrees to be samples they were a pretty decent size. The shrimp and grits and the Mac and cheese were absolutely perfect 10/10. I wish there was a location in the suburbs I would go here all the time! Huge thank you to the staff for their great hospitality. I almost forgot to mention that this place has live music, which definitely helps create an enjoyable vibe while you're dining. This place is a must try!!

My 4 wings and loaded fries cost $60 folks!!!! 60 freaking bucks for 4 wings and a thing of loaded fries. I was told if I added onions it was no charge..my bill came and there was a $5 charges for adding onions to my fries. A WHOLE ONION AT THE STORE ISN'T $5 3. Our table was straight wobbly. They have two tables directly by the front door so if you sit there prepare to be cold everytime someone opens the door. They have another table right by the ladies restroom so be prepared to deal with that everytime someone opens the door you're literally looking in the female bathroom. 4. This is the problem I have with eating out...I literally can afford it, trust me I'm overseas every two weeks but why would anyone on EARTH be okay with spending that level of money on 4 chicken wings and fries? 5. The service charge I was told was for the bartender and cooks so if we needed to tip the server that's extra. It's 18% service charge PER CHECK not per table. LAST BUT NOT LEAST...as much as this food cost you would think we could have gotten silverware with our food right..we got cheap plasticware when other tables to real silverware. We were warned by others who've eaten here and I'm in town visiting but this is just disappointing. I'm super mad when I go to black owned establishments and have to hear music that's derogatory. Like, I listen to it but I'm not sure whose the audience they are trying to cater to cause I really don't care to hear it as I'm out eating at an establishment when I know it's plenty of black music that is better. I will not be visiting here again.

The staff was very friendly, and the bartender gave great drink recommendations. Our server, Malik, was exceptional. The menu can be a bit tricky with brunch vs. dinner options, but he explained everything clearly and helped us make great choices, his service alone is a reason I'll return. Drinks are on the pricey side but worth it. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned, mac and cheese was good, and the greens were flavorful (slightly salty for me). My friend loved the lamb chops, and my chicken & strawberry waffles were delicious. Total was about $180 with tip. Worth it. I'll definitely be back to try the catfish and grits. For an event pop up, I thought maybe they would play some wicked music (even remixed) but it sort of felt like it was an afterthought. Even the "decorated" side of the bar was empty and not being served at that bar. I walked over to take pictures of that side but I wasn't sure I was supposed to lol. When we got there, we had to ask about the happy hour because it wasn't mentioned. When we got the okay, we ordered drinks and pizza. Only after I got back to my hotel did I noticed that the pizza rang in full price. The drinks were creative and fun but I wasn't sure ready to leave after a few loud minutes.
