Sought x Found has quietly become one of the best coffeehouses in the country. I hadn't been in many months, but I had the pleasure of a visit a few days ago and- wow. First, SxF now is its own roaster and they take it SERIOUSLY, with many rare options and it's all carefully curated, and the staff knows its stuff. I love how your options are espresso and "espresso with milk" in four sizes. Moreover you have a choice from, when I was there, six different espressos- yes, now, Q.Lab does the same thing, but with full respect to Q.Lab, SxF is its own roaster (Q.Lab sources from several different local roasters) and is a lot more luxurious, with rare beans that are distinctive. I got a "small" (this'd be a cortado or piccolo at most other shops), at 4.5 ounces, and chose an anaerobic process, single-origin option for the espresso portion and the flavour notes checked out- it was "boozy" and fascinating, and the milk was PERFECTLY steamed and at a PERFECT temperature. The whole experience was very special. Now, I'd not get that coffee every time, it's a $3 premium on top of the very-reasonable base charge of $4.50, with which you get the standard house espresso, but for once in a while this is a memorable experience. This is the place to take out-of-town guests who don't know what a world-class coffee scene we are blessed with in Calgary. read more

The matcha latte was just what I needed. I am glad I tried the coconut pandan croissant. I wish I got the black sesame croissant too. They have a takeout window so that makes it convenient. The store inside is spacious and comfortable. The staff were nice and friendly. read more

It's a bit pretentious. Maybe I have simple taste when it comes to coffee, but I don't like theirs. It's fruity but too acidic for me. Staff are nice, but still wearing masks (it's late 2025 at time of writing). That said, I like Starbucks drip coffee. So if you don't like start bucks, give this a try. read more

The cafe is clean and the workers are polite. It's a nice cafe to sit and work (I was editing my novel near an outlet without issues). The matcha latte was good. Would have liked it a tad sweeter but still some of the best hmm at h I've had at a cafe. I wasn't a huge fan of the cinnamon roll but it wasn't bad. read more

Sought x Found was an incredible experience! We were greeted with the fantastic aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans. The coffee options abound, as there were easily ten or more different bags of coffee that one could purchase, at about $29 a piece. The store also sells coffee paraphernalia, which is always fun! The staff were so welcoming and took the time to not only explain the options, but what made them special. We had both warm and cold lattes and each were wonderful, though the warm was my preference! The espresso they were using was wonderful, with lots of dynamic fruit flavours. It was called Paradise Tabi, a Columbia bean, that had notes of lavender, passionfruit, guava, and peppermint. This espresso was easily one of my favourites I have ever had! However, the espresso they use changes week-to-week based on availability, so coming back regularly for new things is certainly in the plan! The shop has indoor seating with a ton of plants that can be viewed, and purchased. However sitting outside was certainly worth it, as there was a fun street side patio that was great for spending some quality time. The coffee was accompanied by an order of their Toast: On the Pasture, and Toast: In the Forest. We split each order into three so each of us could try both kinds, and they were awesome! It isn't a meal to be certain, but I would certainly order it again. Toast: On the Pasture is Sidewalk Citizen sourdough bread with cream cheese, organic pumpkin seeds, dried apricots, and handcrafted ginger orange jelly. Toast: In the Forest also uses Sidewalk Citizen sourdough bread, however has an incredible with in house-made hazelnut butter, topped with organic apple slices, handcrafted Saskatoon berry jam, and toasted maple oats. Toast: In the Forest was certainly the crowd favourite, though both were delicious! After enjoying coffee and snacks you can go next door to several cute shops! There is parking, though limited, in the back of the store. It shares with the brewery next door, so you may have luck though I suspect it fills up quickly. Will absolutely be going back! read more

This coffee shop is a cut above the rest in the area. They use fresh farm milk and know a lot about the expresso shots. I got organic agave in my latte, and the taste and quality was delicious. Ok so being a person that is not a coffee drinker I can't really comment on the coffee. The tea I had was good not my favourite but they added lavender to a London fog and I'm not big on lavender to begin with and I don't really feel like it's a flavour to add to a black tea and vanilla based drink. I have always been supportive to local coffee roasters. But this small coffee shop up on Crescent Heights gives above and beyond. I finally got the chance to sit in the dining room since reopening after COVID. I've ordered an espresso and a pour over coffee. All coffee beans are blend and roasted in-house. Not getting into the fancy terms in taste. Their coffee has a smooth and fruity (more towards berry) taste. Who said coffee are meant to have a sole purpose of awakening? This is great! Another place for quality coffee. If you are more into Timmy or even Starbucks coffees then this might not be for you. This is a quality coffee house, where their coffee is made with the best ingredients, for example, their milk is from a local Alberta farm, and cups are made with 100% biodegradable material. The latte tastes better than any other places around the city. The only one that comes close is Phil and Sebastian coffee, which is another locally-owned coffee chain. read more

I dropped by this location and spoke with the owner. He is not a big fan of Yelp and that is all he talked about. Of course, every one is entitled to their opinion and I respect that. I was very disappointed in the coffee. Probably the worst I have had in months. Definitely overpriced for the size you get. I have to say the decor was interesting and I can see where people who are into coffee might like this place. But if their regular coffee is any indication of their roasted coffee I have to say I was not impressed. In fact, as soon as I left I just threw the coffee in the trash can as I just couldn't drink it. Won't be going back there. read more

TERRIBLE service and coffee. I went in for the first time to try it out as I walk by it regularly. I ordered a coffee and asked for sugar. I laughed when they said "No" because I thought it was a joke. The OWNER then proceeded to berate me about how I don't know anything about coffee and their coffee is superior and doesn't NEED sugar or honey and there's enough sugar in milk, etc. I just stood there cuz I was like, This guy is nuts and I just want to get TF out of here. I stopped in here hoping I found a real gem but was very disappointed. I ordered a large latte and was given a 12 ounce cup, AT $5.50! Even the most expensive downtown cafes don't charge that much for a MEDIUM latte. The milk was not frothed at all and lukewarm. I was also informed that honey was not for coffee? This is terrible and I always use honey in my coffee. I didn't feel welcome here and won't be back. read more

This coffee shop is great. Not only is the coffee fantastic, but their tea is incredible as well. I had one of the green teas (forgot the name), and it might have been the most well steeped tea I've ever had. The flavour was extracted so well that I thought there was leaves in my cup. I opened the lid to have a look because I was concerned the tea might become bitter, and was surprised to see there were no leaves in the cup. Might be back sooner to enjoy another cup of tea rather than a coffee, to be honest. They also have tasty almond croissants which are a favourite snack of mine. I am not a coffee drinker but the Black Tea with lavender was by far the most outstanding tea I have had in a very long time. Expensive? Yes! Worth it? absolutely! Tea was beautifully presented and perfectly steeped. Not a bitter note to be tasted. Great ambience and decor - Kinda hipster but us 'oldies' felt fine! Loved the bean-sack back rests! Lovely, passionate people doing their best to give you the best experience Tea and, I am assuming good coffee takes time to prepare so don't expect a quick in/out service from these guys We had two Fanciers (can't remember the exact name of the pastry) but, oh so good and a perfect accompaniment to our tea. New establishment in a space that has been empty for years. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Simple and unique décor. They have an excellent selection of children's books if you are stopping by with a little one. We tried the hot chocolate and London Fog - both were $5 for very small sized cups. The flavor of my London Fog was unusual and I wouldn't recommend it. Unfortunately my friend felt the same about her hot chocolate (although the presentation was lovely). Although I'd prefer to support the small Canadian,business owner, they might need to consider re-pricing to compete with Tim's down the street and Starbuck's across the street. read more

A neat store with a ton of potential! The interior looks cool and would definitely be a go to place for me if only it's not so pricey. For comparison, a latte Tim Horton size small is $5 at this new coffee shop. I'll likely walk across the street still for a grande Starbucks. Similar in pricing but way more quantity!!
