Nice little coffee shop right on Stephens Ave. Close to several hotels, Calgary Tower, Chinatown, and more. Offerings include all the usual coffee and non-caffeinated suspects. Did not try the baked goods to comment.

Rosso Coffee Roasters is a great spot right in the middle of CBD to chill and enjoy a cup of coffee. The space here is spacious and welcoming. Love those comfy armchairs! Coffee made from their own roastery was well prepared and really aromatic. Both Americano and Macchiato were nicely pulled. Of course, don't forget to pick up a bag of their beans. If not there is always the option of ordering through their website.

Silky and Smooth coffee is the dream. I have passed this coffee shop many a times and finally had the chance to enjoy their amazing coffee. Very friendly barista made me one of the best coffees I had this year. If you are a coffee fiend, definitely need to check them out!

I was a little disappointed by this location. First off, the service was not great. The two women working were rude and not the best to represent the shop. We made 4 different orders and they managed to make each of us the same drink... after saying that we didn't clarify that we wanted 4 different drinks... even though we paid individually. On top of that, I ordered a maple latte and all it tasted like it was a regular latte with oat milk. Not worth it to me and will not be visiting again.

someone wrote it all depends on who was working and I guess that's true but also depends on who is in line in front of you. A woman was trying to get the place to buy her homemade juice, and I guess her sales pitch was don't worry about the customers waiting in line and just keep talking and talking about juice. Anyway, it took forever and then I had to rush back to work. The coffee was good, but pretty sure not oat milk based on later afternoons troubles.

A delicious café that is also a champion in sustainability. One of my top 5 cafes in Calgary Atmosphere: 4/5 - Very modern décor, spacious seating but cranking the AC a tad to high. Price: $$$/5 - Average for a high-end café but will put a dent in your wallet if you visit often. Customer Service: 4/5 - Baristas were quick & polite. Location: 5/5 - Great spot in downtown Calgary that is rather accessible. Taste: 5/5 - Some of the best tasting coffee available in Calgary Menu: 4/5 - Lots of options for all caffeine lovers, would like to see more unique items though. Sustainability: 5/5 - Paying over fair trade value, choosing sustainable coffee farms, multiple sustainable initiatives. Rosso is definitely a champion of sustainability in the Calgary community. Strengths - Great taste and even greater sustainable leadership. Weaknesses - No menu items unique to Rosso Good items to buy: Latte, Iced coffee Summary: 4.5/5 - Overall, I would 100% recommend stopping by this café if you are in Calgary. They are in a great location and have awesome coffee that is both strong and smooth. Their menu has many options to chose from and their location has lots of seating. This business clearly cares about sustainability as they are paying over fair trade value for their coffee beans, they choose sustainable coffee farms, and have multiple sustainable initiatives. Rosso is definitely a champion of sustainability in the Calgary community. One thing I would like to see is a unique drink that you can only get at Rosso (for example a iced coffee that represents their brand, maybe sweetened with hibiscus or something). Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!!

Yummers! Cinnamon scone and Americano Misto

I have an occasional weekend love affair with Caffe Rosso in Ramsay. We sit together early in the morning, sipping coffee or tea and eating muffins. In those early hours, we have our privacy I knew Caffe Rosso had a twin somewhere out there, I didn't expect to run into the twin in the middle of a Thursday afternoon downtown. Now when I'm craving my weekend joe, I know I can tide myself over with a little afternoon delight on Stephen Ave. Across from the Glenbow, Caffe Rosso offers a variety of sandwich-type eats for lunch, and coffee and treats. On this particular visit, I found myself with a hot piping cup of an American Misto and a cinnamon chocolate chip scone. Plenty of seating and free wi-fi, it was an enjoyable little place to stop and set up shop for awhile. Although I enjoyed the quiet, I'd love to see Calgarians hit up spots like Caffe Rosso over the famous chains that appear every two blocks or so. There's just something about a well-brewed bean, it doesn't require anything more than being straight up black.

Great business loft Cafe at stampede park

This neighborhood coffee shop was a former little wine bar that kept most of its previous components while adding great coffee and lunch eats to its offerings. The set up is an artsy high ceiling loft with wooden chairs and tablesthat invite a hip crowd comprised of business people, locals and students alike to meet, get work done or just sit and people watch. The coffees are great and they have a little retail rack next to the counter, to purchase some of the organic ground goods to take home; nice! In the midst of a hostile takeover or writing a song? You can be sure the surroundings will keep everyone grounded and creative thoughts flowing through the crowd while sipping some good Java; indeed.

Cool board!!! All food made in-house :))

My 1st visit to Rosso was short but sweet. I discovered it by accident whist searching for the pay meter in the Telus Convention Center. Rosso is located right next to said pay meter, on the ground level of the TCC - there's an entrance from inside the lobby, and a street entrance on 8th avenue. The Barista conveniently noticed that I was in a hurry, so gave me the low-down on the place whilst I rummaged through my mega bag for my wallet. The pastries are made fresh in house everyday; they also make soup in house, and a nice selection of paninis! (check out my photo of the menu board for menu samples...) Trusty Americano ordered, muffin stuffed in mega bag, now comes the search for the condiment stand. Unfortunately there was only skim milk & cream on the stand... gross & gross. No worries, Mr. Barista happily provides the whole milk, but my Americano is too hot, maybe even burnt... This is the only reason for the 4 stars. If you have Caffe, Café, Coffee, Java, Joe, or any translation of the word in your business name, then your core product surely is coffee. IMO, this means you need a damn good cup of brew, and an even better shot of espresso. As espresso is the key ingredient in my Americano, please don't burn it :(( Other than that slightly unnecessary rant - Rosso is pretty splendid and I will definitely check out the Ramsay location. "Yes - we do have paninis" read the sandwich board sign. And while it may appear quiet depending on what time of the day you saunter in, Caffe Rosso can fill up and file out much like a heartbeat. But they are right -- they do have mighty fine paninis. My wheat of choice? A turkey club complete with avocado, tomato, lettuce, turkey and bacon. But that's not all -- the all was the pickle garnish on the plate! Overall, it's a small portion, but the grill is good to go and with all of the hunger crushing fillings, chances are you'll be satiated. There are a few plugs along the back wall, free wi-fi and my favourite - a simple, clean coffee station (see pic attached). Oh, and my americano was a tasty bevvie to boot!

I love this place the workers are very nice and helpful, the coffee is amazing you don't need to add sugar it, and it's a sweet simple coffee shop.

I didn't think I'd be taking a picture of their Traditional Cappuccino but once I tasted it I had to document it. One of the best I've had.

The first time I went, there was a trainee barista which was very kind and patient but unfortunately they don't do pour overs anymore - when I pressed them about it, the reason was Covid. I'm not sure what covid has to do with anything since it's a pretty easy thing to keep on the side with low operating cost (I have one at home - total cost about $80) I ended up getting the drip coffee which was quite delicious- they were serving an Ethiopian origin coffee which was bright, fruity, floral but quite acidic. The next day I went back and met another barista who was clearly not interested in being there and was making conversation with another customer about how he hated Calgary and wished he never moved here (apparently from vancouver). While I can understand his sentiment being from Calgary myself and then moving away, it's not really a great way to start the day. The negativity was filling the air. He seemed like a knowledgeable enough guy but I don't think I'll go back if he's there. I ended up getting a bag of the Ethiopian coffee and I'll just make it myself when I get home If you're looking for a place to get a great cup of coffee and go, then definitely check this place out but don't expect to leave feeling energized by the environment. 4/5 bc the coffee and donuts are delicious

Learned about the TooGoodToGo app special they ran today- 12 gourmet bakery items for $13 which my friend and I just happened to be there at the right time to partake!
