The whole ambiance of the store is such a vibe - my husband and I love it. Even down to the music being played. It passes the vibe-check as the kids say. lol. I've been in for their soft serve & cannolis - both so yums! You can never go wrong with soft serve! You can choose from either a cone or cup & they have a bunch of toppings - even the olive oil & sea salt which I have heard AMAZING things about but I am a plain-girly so I opted for a plain soft serve on a cone. EDIT: GET THE OLIVE OIL & SEA SALT SOFT SERVE - ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG, it's LIFE CHANGING! I would never think the combo works but it freakin' works! lol. TRY IT, you won't regret it! If you go here & don't get a cannoli, did you actually go here? Just asking. Cannoli choices: Plain, Pistachio, Chocolate Chips & Rainbow Sprinkles. My go-to is Chocolate Chips, it never fails! A great thing about their cannolis is that they make 'em after you order! Fresh & hot off the presses! They also have coffee but I have never tried it BUT it gives me a reason to come back!

They have recently upped their game with some groceries and snacks that rival in price to Gus's nearby. That said, prices are still high but it's a small business and I do love their selection so shopping here is very much a treat yourself vibe. The service is pretty good depends on who's working tbh. I've just experienced other bottle shops where the operators are more eager about their items and want to make sure you get the right thing for the vibe you're going for. The ambiance is cute very concrete and green; they make good use of the space. I do like that they did a pivot to groceries, but the reasoning we were told was due to consumer habits and people consuming less alcohol. I hope they also continue to consider the local Hispanic/Latino community that is the heart of why Mission is Mission and aim to be inclusive of that community that has historically been here. There is some peppers, onions, tomatoes, oil and things of that nature so that's definitely cool. They recently had a painter do signage, but it is currently completely in English. To me, it feels like a missed opportunity to put signage in Spanish for marketing purposes. Gemini sits on a corner so I think that would've been so cool of them if they decided to go the route of one side of the signage in English another in Spanish. Maybe they don't have Spanish speaking staff tho? Overall, love Gemini and they have a great selection of drinks and snacks and more. I will always be going there and it's worth checking out.

In searching the business, I reread my review and vaguely remembered my past visit, almost two years to the day. There were three ladies at the stand and the one who spoke with me described the five available sauces. The lady on the far left offered samples of each on request. After sampling two, I knew what I wanted. A couple days later, I decided to open one of two bags of plantain chips () that I bought. I stopped at that Amazon owned market and picked up a tub of mild pico de gallo that I wanted to have while fresh; not having other chips at home, these sweet yet crispy plantains offered a great contrast to the tart and acidic (lime juice and onions). After finishing that tub in one sitting, I opened my bottle of La Sticky Sauce (), which was the spiciest of their offerings. The first couple chips were fine. As I continued, that sauce literally creeped up on me as my mouth went to a slow burn mode as I sought a beverage to ease that sensation. I may need to have a glass of my milky next time dipping into this sauce. They are here only two Saturdays so today is their last appearance for this market until their time comes up again with La Cocina. Try those plantain chips if you've never had it and, if you are spicy brave, try that La Sticky sauce.

Next I invited Karla to set up shop at our companies PRIDE bazaar where we featured LGBTQ+ Owned Businesses. Trust me, her stall was one of the most popular ones - probably thanks to her generous sampling attitude! These days, you can also find her products at "Olive This Olive That" in Noe Valley.

The Lonely Planets Cities books lists NYC as the second greatest city behind Paris & San Francisco is number seven I believe behind Istanbul. NY & SF are the only two cities in the top ten cities on planet Earth. I think Los Angeles or Chicago is around 40 something on the list. I lived in the City of Angels more a bunch of suburbs spread out than a proper city like NY, SF, & Chicago. LA is car-city built around the freeway where gridlock traffic is a way of life unless you are taking the blue bus from Santa Monica to Venice. Not to hate on Los Angeles as that is where I developed a daily yoga practice in 2003. It where the Doors, Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante, Black Flag, Henry Rollins, & countless other of my favorite musicians either lived or are from. I have family in Chicago & it is nicknamed second city after New York. It is a proper city. Love & Hummus Co's Spicy Harissa Hummus is addictive bliss…read more I just finished off a whole jar for breakfast this morning. A whole jar. Not some dinky plastic hummus full of lackluster "eh" ingredients - but a hearty solid jar full of spicy organic ingredients that tickled my tongue with pure excellence. Hummus is everywhere now. It's an excellent, easy, and accessible source of vegetarian protein. And it's so easy to play around with. Spice it up. Garlic it up. Tang it up. Sweeten it up. But with the wealth of hummus on the market - I've found that very few hummus concoctions actually taste authentic and great. And some hummus producers add ickiness into what is fundamentally a very basic recipe. I don't want to see any canola oil in my hummus. I don't want to see any preservatives. I just want simple garbanzo beans, tahini, garlic, and olive oil. The Love and Hummus Co get this and go the extra step by making sure that all of their ingredients are simple and organic. Thank you. And perhaps one of the best parts of supporting The Love & Hummus is that you get to take away a wonderful well made jar with you - perfect for transporting leftovers and other yumminess. They're the only hummus that I'll pick up at Whole Foods now and I'll make the extra trip to Whole Foods - (when I can't get over to Royal Market - which truly does make the best hummus in San Francisco) just for some heavenly healthy hummus. I'm a frequent visitor to two different farmer's markets in my neighborhood, and there's always someone with a tub of hummus slinging their product and guaranteeing it's the best you'll find in town. While I've certainly walked away from said farmer's markets with a plastic container of hummus in tow, Love & Hummus floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee, dropping a jaw-shattering right hook to the rest of the competition. In short, this savory blend of organic beans and tahini is the truth, son! After sampling, there was no possible way I could walk away without bringing some home with me.
