Love Gemini Bottle, we are locals and love to stop by and see what they got on basically a weekly basis. They have recently upped their game with some groceries and snacks that rival in price to Gus's nearby. That said, prices are still high but it's a small business and I do love their selection so shopping here is very much a treat yourself vibe. The service is pretty good depends on who's working tbh. I've just experienced other bottle shops where the operators are more eager about their items and want to make sure you get the right thing for the vibe you're going for. The ambiance is cute very concrete and green; they make good use of the space. I do like that they did a pivot to groceries, but the reasoning we were told was due to consumer habits and people consuming less alcohol. I hope they also continue to consider the local Hispanic/Latino community that is the heart of why Mission is Mission and aim to be inclusive of that community that has historically been here. There is some peppers, onions, tomatoes, oil and things of that nature so that's definitely cool. They recently had a painter do signage, but it is currently completely in English. To me, it feels like a missed opportunity to put signage in Spanish for marketing purposes. Gemini sits on a corner so I think that would've been so cool of them if they decided to go the route of one side of the signage in English another in Spanish. Maybe they don't have Spanish speaking staff tho? Overall, love Gemini and they have a great selection of drinks and snacks and more. I will always be going there and it's worth checking out. read more

After enjoying dinner at Ernest, had to spot into Gemini for a bottle of wine to round out the evening. It was pretty empty when we went in and I was determined to snag a delicious orange. Asked the man working (who was so very friendly, by the way) for a full-bodied orange preferably with longer maceration since I like funky. Took his recommendation for this Italian bottle, and it was so good I snapped a pic so that I can buy it again. It was already chilled, which was nice and pretty affordable at less than $30. Will definitely be back here next time I'm in town. read more

Gemini is probably one of my favorite wine / spirit shops in the bay area. They have a great variety of wine collections from both domestic and imported winemakers. The staff is knowledge and helpful when it comes to tasting notes and recommendations. Also love their wine tasting every Saturday where they usually invite winemakers or distillers to come in and pour. I have been to wine and whiskey tasting, and it's always fun to hear different stories and learn about different varietals. read more

I've never actually been to Gemini bottle, but based on our experience at Bar Gemini, I can't wait to go! Just waiting for a good sized van and scope on the card. My husband and I stopped in to look for a couple bottles of wine for a last minute get together with family but didn't get any type of service or attention while there. There were two white men working at the counter when we came in and they never even looked up to greet us or ever even asked if we were looking for anything in particular. After being there for a bit we decided we didn't want to shop there and headed out the door. As we were heading out another white customer walked in and was quickly greeted and asked what he was in for. Will definitely not be back. We ended up walking down the street to the liquor store and gave them the business instead. read more

I had never been to Gemini before shelter in place. As they are a neighborhood shop, I started stopping by to see what they have. They seem to be adapting by curating some awesome pantry items, farm produce, coffee from the best of local providers. They def aren't cheap although they aren't gouging. It just is an expensive business model. I love that they have Ritual coffee beans and great bread. Today I came by and told the guy I was hangry. He looked through what they had and recommended a country boule, goat cheese and smoked trout. It was delicious and a welcome change from eating leftovers. Every time I go, they are super nice. I signed up for CSA box pickup there as well. I will be sad when they go back to focus on wines because I don't drink at all, but happy for them of course. I'm sure they are great at providing wine recommendations as well. read more
