Turns out the mechanic (after having made me wait an hour so he could take his lunch break) installed the brake line incorrectly so that it rubbed against the tire and eventually wore away completely. When I called to inform them, they took zero responsibility, and informed me that "There's only one way to install a brake line". The mechanics I talked to in Virginia (where my brakes failed) both told me that the guy that worked on my car shouldn't be working an any cars, period. So if you value your life, or your family's life, I'd recommend going elsewhere. There are several other more professional, and more competent, places in the area.

Safelite sd they removed the door panel to get the shattered glass out. I am NOT convinced. Would hv taken the vehicle a 3rd time, but got a person not even trained to do this kind of work give a try at it. He was able to get enough glass out that would fill about an 8-10oz+ glass. He used an air blower to blow the glass around and out and a vacuum to suck it out. Good service is really hard to find.
