I would strongly suggest a different PT company or possibly Pivot location, because 2 of the PT who…read morewere from other locations were pretty good. The director yawned out loud during my session with him, that was professional. Although I was there an hour, 45-50 minutes I worked on my own, the PT only worked with me about 10 minutes. As I was working with PT for 10 minutes they were talking across the room to others instead of focusing on me. Most PT did not seem to be familiar with my injury, so they obviously didn't read my file or ask me directly. They did not send the reports they told me they would be sending to my Orthopaedic surgeon until I questioned them, they lied said they were sent but when I called surgeon's office the only report they had was from the day I questioned them. Although the bathrooms seemed pretty clean the rest of the facility did not, there was an outlet without a face plate right out in the open. Thank god insurance adjusted what they got paid because their $300 plus per visit is not worth it. I even gave them a very poor review and they didn't care enough to call me and discuss the issues, you would think they would want to improve, obviously not.

From appointment scheduling, billing questions and general questions the team here exceeds my expectations for a healthcare provider. My Physical Therapist, Sarah Neal has done a fantastic job helping me recover from a sprained ankle, and torn tendon issues. She brings high enthusiasm to the client sessions and has genuine interest in helping you recover from your injury quickly but without rushing you through the PT process. In addition she takes the time to teach exercises to do between sessions and insures you know proper positions/movement. In short, she takes the time necessary to achive positive results for her clients. I have been to other PT clinics in the past, and they spend 15 minutes with you and move you through until insurance is done. At Elite PT you have a 30 minute session with your therapist and then guided exercises to insure you are progressing in the PT process. I come a few times a week to use the equipment and I always feel welcomed by the staff. Due to the pandemic I have used the Wilmington location before the HAC was able to open, and when at the beach over the summer I continued with PT at the Rehoboth location. I had an outstanding experience with this clinic…read more I came here for a strange injury in my tendons that was hard to diagnose. I initially went in when it was preventing me from walking or standing for long periods of time, and causing me serious psychological distress. The clinicians here were extremely supportive. They diagnosed the problem, which was tricky to detect because of its atypical nature, within two visits, and put me on a slow but thorough regime of recovery that resulted in me walking within days, and in the end addressed the root causes of the injury and left me considerably stronger and less likely to experience similar injuries in the future. No medication, no surgery and I was back to my normal activity level in a few months. This place exemplifies what I think of as an ideal approach to healthcare. The clinicians are generous with their time, friendly and personable, caring, and funny. Rather than looking for a quick fix, the physical therapists here search for the root causes for things and work on taking the best long-term approach.

If you could give - stars, this clinic would have earned that ranking…read more It is teaching facility, so you get inexperienced therapists who are training to be therapists I went about 2 to 3 times a week for about 7 weeks and I had many different physical therapists and trainees. So there did not seem to be much consistency. The physical therapy was post-surgery and I had to explain my surgery to the therapists who did not seem to know anything about it. One therapist kept putting me through a particularly painful range of motion measurement, in order to show the trainees how it was done. I asked him not to do it again and he said that he would not do it again that day. Two minutes later he did it again to show someone else. Ugh! As a result of one therapy session I developed a huge and very painful knot that was not there before. By the end of the 7 weeks the painful knot was still there. I overheard one therapist instructing a trainee and telling her that the course of treatment that you prescribe does not matter, what matters is that you are confident and that the patient trusts you. Really? At the end of 7 weeks they said that they thought that I was finished and should not come back again, even though I still had limited mobility and my insurance was still paying for the therapy sessions. At that point, I was still hoping for better results. I had gone to other PT's before this one with good results. I will not go back to the UD if I can help it.
